That restaurant (you mean Mad Greek, right?) is not vegan. In fact, there's little there to draw a vegan, really. BUT there is a per se "vegan pizza" on the menu, so it would probably draw a vegan in for at least one trip. Other than that, you're looking at hummus with pita and salad with vinaigarette.
I don't know if it was Mad Greek, I don't know if it was Hunga Dunga, I don't know if he was trotting in/near the house decked out for Halloween, but he was there somehow. He may have gotten the floor plans and scoped the place out from his little "spot" there behind the house, but my guess is he'd get as close to the house and victims as possible and into the actual space to the extent possible while still being able to conceal himself.

Am going to be rifling through those supps tonight looking for what people think may have been the flashbang point to see if I can confirm that the beer pong table was being shifted around at the same time. I know I saw this in there at some point, I've been trying and trying to find it again. If he used an actual flashbang, he meant to kill everyone in that house, jmo. I've always thought this, so I do think the flashbang's a possibility. But saw someone mentioned a light bulb, too, and think this is another possibility. Maybe he was dragging something and a lamp fell over, maybe he almost shorted out a whole floor moving something, maybe Murphy went wild. If anyone finds the beer pong table, please post it! I’ve never been fond of AT since she went far beyond the bounds of reason in her attempts to defend him.

However I recognize that she had a PROFESSIONAL duty to him.

What I CANNOT TOLERATE is when she again went beyond the bounds during sentencing, because her actions were, IMO, now operating on a PERSONAL level.

The warm-hearted smiles and the soothing physical gestures—-that’s a NO!!!!

There was no trial, sentencing was in the books—she no longer needed her lawyerly skills to cultivate Bryan’s reactions in front of a jury.

I don’t recall if she has children, but if she does, how can anyone whose professional path has ended still bestow these gentle touches on a murderer of four kids—can she imagine if it were her child?

Even if she isn’t a mother—-the battle was over. They lost. Know when to stop, AT.

I agree with you! BUT, it is just a guess. There is a little bit of manipulation inherent in the relationship. Perhaps she was sucked in by him? Or more importantly, she needed to cajole him repeatedly to get him to do the right thing. I really do think they were at an impasse.

Maybe he had a breaking point, once his family was en route and he actually opened up about what he had done (sort of doubtful). My guess is the lines all started to blur and she was not thinking about the optics anymore (accepting gifts from inmates), because she was on the other side of compromise. Better her than me.

I am assuming she may have lost a bit of boundaries, but it was to get the job done and pull him through the eye of the needle. I really think dealing with him wore her down. I am sensing some sort of older female fixation and looking for direction. What are the odds he would get nothing but a female defense team? Bizarre. I may not be feeling compassion for him right now, but it is possible he fought these urges for years, divulged that, agreed to cave, and she needed to finish the job. JMOO

Once the plea deal was effected and he pled guilty to all charges, she needed to be at the sentencing of course, but IMO it was completely unnecessary and offensive that she would still exhibit tenderness to him.

A spokesperson responded: Once in IDOC custody, the person goes through a Reception and Diagnostic Unit (RDU) process to evaluate their needs and determine appropriate housing placement; this process takes 7-14 days. In this case, the RDU process is taking place in the medical unit at IMSI. We wait until a person completes the RDU process to determine their classification or housing placement.

IMSI is the state's maximum security institution, located in Kuna, Idaho, just outside of Boise.

If BK did not go from County Jail to DOC Reception, he would indeed be the first! Again, he's not being treated any different than any other newly convicted State inmate.

SG told Ashleigh Banfield that the other objection was round with stripes, as it left those marks on Kaylee’s face. He bashed her teeth out. This is what was told to them on Monday.

If they mean round as in circular like a pipe, round with stripes would be the knife handle as one possibility. Not the norm, but totally possible in various ways.

No, "Hunga Dunga" is far from a Greek Restaurant-- different menu, different vibe! It's a brewing company in Moscow with Tap Room and sufficient space to host private parties. EC attended his sister's sorority formal with her, and it was hosted at "Hunga Dunga."

Understood, sorry, I meant "Greek" in terms of fraternities/sororities. There was a private event there that night for some Greek organization (meaning fraternity/sorority like Greek Row). Thanks for noting this, tho, because I don't want to get people confused with Mad Greek (an actual Greek restaurant/Greek cuisine) involved. That Hunga Dunga's a brewery, though, right? That seems like a place BK might be into.

The reason I don't think so is that he went straight up to Kaylee and Maddie's top floor rooms. I think he had a specific target in mind. Maddie's window, with the pink cowboy boots, was clearly visible from the back of the house.

He just may have known it was occupied if he saw the light go out. Or he might have assumed it would be occupied. He might not have necessarily known who slept in other rooms.

Try and think about it this way, that she wasn't rude or dismissive leaves no place for ineffective counsel. Suppose she had been distant or dismissive? Some could say she wasn't really trying her best, you could tell by her attitude she thought he was guilty. People have to believe in their defenders or they are just actors playing a part (which could be true). By wrapping up with class ("you did the right thing BK" pat, pat), there is no doubt he got appropriate counsel.

I truly understand what you are saying. In a perfect world it could be like that, where an attorney can just turn and walk away. But optics matter. IMO.

I think this is one situation where AT's stall and delay helped The Loser. She waited until absolutely the last minute before the jury selection was to start with 10,000 summonses to ask for a deal.

Having seen Dylan give her victim impact statement, and knowing of course that Thompson and other knew how hard testifying would be for all the college-age survivors and witnesses (as we saw in the Amazon movie, I think he wanted to avoid that if he could, and getting LWOP, an agreement not to appeal and direct confession to all 5 counts in court is not nothing, especially considering it saved a lot of trauma and anguish for the surviving kids, from the roommates to the friends. And as the judge says, there's no guarantee that he wouldn't lie about where he put the knife or anything else. From the prosecution perspective, that had to be more important than a knife they didn't need to prosecute the case.

Yeah, that will give him another 15+++ minutes of fame. But it will probably be like CW, sounding pretty truthful except, imo, for the cruelty of what he really did to the kids will be white washed. But I guess the Idaho students'' unspeakable wounds will be hard to justify, ie "I sure was angry that day" will just cause people to stare at him. He's definitely unhuman: lacking universal human values.

Has there been any indication of how Murphy ended up in the empty bedroom upstairs? I don't see the monster caring for the animal. I have not read anything in the police reports I've made it through that they found the dog and it what condition.

I recently read in the doc dump that the dog (Murphy) was located immediately on the third level in Kaylee's unoccupied bedroom, and LE took the dog to an animal shelter until family could be notified. They were concerned the dog would attempt to approach the victims and contaminate the scene/ evidence. The report indicated Murphy seemed frightened but appeared unharmed.

A headlamp would be a good choice, but I’m not sure it works.

Do we really think BK chose the location ‘moments before the crimes’? As Thompson stated was a possibility.
No way
As a criminology student I’m assuming BK was of the belief he knew enough to get by with it, and planning is how that would happen. Leaving the victims, location, escape route, all to chance is not at all what I would expect.
I find that strange that Thompson would imply such a thing, it doesn’t seem to fit.
