Before the listing disappeared, we were all able to see the inside of the house, and make sense of the flow of rooms. surely he did that too.
Yes, and I hope realtors rethink that feature a bit.

The Manson family did what they termed "creepy crawling" in people's homes, including the home of the LaBiancas. Could be he creepy crawled the King Road residence before the morning of the murders.

All officers of the court showed lots of emotion during the sentencing hearing, given impact statements and the culmination of long, legal proceedings. AT showed her basic humanity to her client, which one would expect after representing him for almost two years and likely the one who ultimately convinced him to plead guilty and go to prison for life with no appeal. That can't have been easy, even with his family imploring BK to do the same. Ultimately, for AT, she helped save his life from an Idaho firing squad, which was her ulitmate goal and rightly so. For BK, the result is likely not much better. So I understand the complex feelings of each of the judicial officers at that final hearing. And I deeply respect AT for her professionalism and her compassion toward her client given the circumstances of that last hearing. May God be with all of them.
Is death penalty only administered via firing squad there?

This short interview with Sheriff Skiles is very moving. He agrees with the plea deal to protect anyone else from further devastation--the family and jury being subjected to crime scene and autopsy photos, etc.

Totally. Stalking, peeping, burglary and Hot Prowling.

It was only after attorneys recounted the tale of Ooey Gooey, that BK realized he was face down on the tracks as a speeding locomotive w bad brakes was bearing down on him. imo

Am not disputing the eye witnesses at WSU but how come those facial scratches don't show in the selfie? He edited the image or used a lower resolution?
I haven't found this witness account record in the uploads yet but it's obviously in there somewhere.

Apologies for the next image - I realise many people are sick of seeing his face and I've forgotten whether he's right handed, but somebody on WS will know.

I thought I had read that the this student said she saw the scratches, etc. during the weeks BEFORE the killings. I think if BK had scatches on his face it would have been noticed by the WSU student health center when BK went to his appointment a day or so after the murders. JMO.

Agreed. His thumb up selfie didn’t display any facial scratches.

The black heart looks to me like a little piece of black paper that kids use a wooden "pencil" to scrape the black and there are assorted colors underneath. Kids like to write their names or just scribble over the black and it's kinda like magic. To me, it looks like a heart shape was left black and the perimeter was scribbled over. I wish I could think of that these things are called. moo

I downloaded the released files provided by MPD and looked through all of them. I'm not seeing a lot of these narratives being posted. Are here other files I'm not seeing osted somewhere else? TIA for any help.

Slightly OT, but there’s no better time than this to suggest to students living off campus and their parents of the need to invest in some of those indoor/outdoor security cameras. Most today are affordable, of very high quality and work well even in total darkness. You can set them to send an alarm to your cell phone whenever someone approaches your home. You can add roommates and other people you trust so they can view anyone coming to the door, wandering in the yard, pulling into your driveway, etc.

Please consider these great new tools.
our "baby" (20) is moving into a house off campus, in our town. the number of cameras and locks on the doors is astounding. they joke that if there's a fire, they will need to hurl themselves out the windows!

On another disturbing note. I remember years ago when I read I'll Be Gone In The Dark by Michelle McNamara. There was a part in that book, where two detectives were trying to figure out patterns of behaviour, of the rapist who was later on found to be The Golden State Killer.
This involved the two detectives going along back paths/routes along people's houses, through back gardens the lot, all under cover of darkness. Apart from being barked at by a dog, nobody saw them, caught them or even noticed them. They said they were taken aback, by being able to see into umpteen properties as people did not close their blinds or curtains in the evening, or even quite late into the night.
I cannot remember the exact quote or page where this took place , but it really hit home with me. In the evenings my curtains are closed on all windows of my property.

I just ordered McNamara’s book when I ordered Patterson’s book. Glad you didn’t spoil it all. ;)
Most of my life I’ve lived in very rural areas, big dogs in a fenced yard with no near neighbors.
In high school we came home from an holiday and someone had broken into our home. Our dogs were with my sister. The thieves had known we were gone, were there for hours, made a mess.
You never get over that creepy feeling after someone has gone through your things.
We never found out who it was, I wondered if it was someone at my school.

Currently we can see and hear neighbors. Young families and retired couples.
I still have two dogs in a fenced yard all the way around the house. If someone gets in the yard- they better run. Our dogs play with the little girls next door, so they aren’t aggressive- but they may deter and chase a stranger!

Stay safe
IMO

I’m finding it really hard to judge his family. Some folks come into this world wired differently & the parents may do the best they can do. Sometimes, parents learn as they go. They may have thought he was doing better, beating a heroin addiction, etc. I do think his Dad realized his lack of social skills as he said something to BK’s neighbor @ the college apartments.

There’s always the nature v nurture v combo of nature & nurturing, sometimes it leaves a big ? mark. I will admit I googled long face/head structure with low ears, but none of the syndromes don’t fit him.

I’m sure it wasn’t pleasant to hear all the horrible things their offspring has done.
Agree, the parents and sisters are victims just as are the family members of the murdered. They likely did their best raising BK and supporting his efforts to get an education. I hope they have lots of support in the weeks and years ahead.

If it does happen, then I think it won't happen for at least six months or so, until the media around the case subsides some.
IANAL, but there have been cases where states did that sort of thing. If a prisoner is too risky or problematic, a state can make arrangements to move him to a prison in another state.

George Wagner IV who helped murder 8 members of the Rhoden and Gilley families, was sent from the Ohio prison system to Maryland. That’s a much longer trip for his family to make.

I agree, by all accounts his parents were doing everything in their power to help him and hold him accountable. I suspect calling police over the stolen cell phone when he was a teenager was not easy. Frankly, even knowing what he did, I look at him and have difficulty reconciling who he appears to be (polite, well mannered) with what he did. I suspect his parents were the same and hoping for the best, while accepting his idiosyncrasies (autism, ocd, germaphobe, etc.).

Based on where he was earlier in his life, working through problems, getting his life on track, earning a masters, being accepted into a Ph.D. program with a teaching assistantship (this is not an easy feat, very competitive), his parents must have been very proud and thought they rounded the corner!!

Also, for dad to still hold onto the possibility of his innocence isn't surprising. His college professor/advisor did too.
Just a note that his college professor didn't hold on to the possibiity of BK's innocence.

Her delivery was exceptional. It wasn’t just what she said but the cadence and rhythm of her voice was so spot on. It won’t be forgotten. She would be an excellent professional speaker or actress.

She also had all of the precise words that made it so tailored to him. I loved the “wannabe condition”. The gift card, a rapper, an hypochondriac and more.

I totally agree.
As a foreigner who is not an English native speaker
I absolutely loved her accent.
(Pronunciation and intonation of the language)

I usually have difficulty to understand American spoken English (in films) hehe

But her accent was a melody to my ears.

In fact, I only once heard this particular way of speaking in American musical film with great actors.

JMO

She did initially, not sure when it changed. I recall her offering her assistance.

And to add to this. There is a charge for every e-mail you send and recieve. Just like there is a charge for every phone call you make. And things aren't cheap in prison. For instance a dollar ramen noodle will cost double or triple in the prison canteen. And you make maybe a $1.25 a day for working as a janitor cleaning toilets. And you usually aren't allowed to start working for months. Don't know about Idaho but the state I'm in if you have money in your Inmate account it can be taken to go toward any restitution that has been court ordered. And from what I heard JH put fourth today as far as money being owed to the families someone is going to have to come out of pocket before BK is going to be able to buy a honey bun.

I believe the policies at IMRI state six months before those privileges are allowed. Also, in their policies, I do believe I read that this is 6 months in a cell by oneself, presumably with the 1 hour a day outside (nothing about whether he gets to socialize during that 1 hour).

I am delighted to see all this talk of him having to pay restitution before he can spend his commissary money. That would be great. Somewhere in the policies, I think it states that unless prisoners are in very good standing (I assume this includes paying their restitution) that they are limited to $5 a week in commissary at any rate. So about 4 days' wages.

I think it'll be grand if all the Probergers who send him commissary funds end up paying the restitution. OTOH, I doubt the families would appreciate paltry monthly checks as a constant reminder of him. Surely they'll set up some kind of trust fund within the prison system?

Still making my way through the documents so sorry if I'm behind but I'm reading roommate BF's 2nd interview and in it she explained her, DM & KG moved in August 2022. Not sure when Xana moved in. But she said MM was the only one who had lived in the residence previously. And BK had been stalking the area for months? Before BF, DM, KG & possibly XK moved in??? So indeed MM could have been the target, or again just the house if there were women living there previously too.

Does anyone else see what could be bruises on his neck?
