Good information from Kevin Fixler starting about the 44 minute mark.

Two female ID’s were found in Kohberger’s glove box, with one of those women being a coworker when he worked security at the Pleasant Valley School District.

Both women were very surprised he had these.

Maybe they don't have seatbelts in Pennsylvania either.

He didn't even know to open his window.

And of course with the questions. Always the questions.

Geez. It's like he's zero days old.

"Can I get your phone number?"

"Why?"

Geez.

Josh Ritter once again speaks with Kevin Fixler, this time about Fixler’s recent Bill Thompson interview:

  • Fixler discusses his hour-long interview with Prosecutor Bill Thompson that took place this morning (Monday, July 28)
  • Next up for Bill Thompson is going through the unsealing process of court docs with Judge Hippler
  • The prosecution team was fully ready to go to trial and thought they could secure a conviction, and Josh Hurwit was disappointed they didn’t get to go to trial (though he was on board with the plea deal).
  • The plea deal was not a plea bargain, meaning there was no negotiation with the Defense. Fixler says the Prosecution may have been surprised the Defense accepted the deal.
  • Thompson wanted the murderer to admit guilt, which he wouldn’t have to do with a trial.
  • The murderer would most likely have been found by LE without the DNA on the knife sheath (due to the car and cell phone tower evidence, plus the Amazon purchase of the knife and sheath), however, it may have been difficult to charge him (which they didn’t do until after the trash pull in PA).
  • LE did not receive the footage from the neighboring property (1112 King Rd) until a week and a half after the murders since the students living there had left Moscow.
  • Thompson said there is more evidence in court records that he can’t yet speak about. This evidence increased their confidence that they had the right man.
  • Dylan saw the murderer carrying something with both hands, with an arrow-shaped object on top (possibly the knife).
  • Dylan didn’t know someone else was in the house when she heard a person running down the stairs, so she may have just heard the murderer (and not Kaylee or Xana).
  • They aren’t sure whether Xana or Ethan was killed first.
  • There is no evidence that the murderer sat in Xana’s room, nor was Xana’s blood found on the third floor.
  • The back of Ethan’s legs were cut.
  • James Fry was upset about the leak of the security camera footage and wants the leaker to be found.
  • Fixler emphasizes importance of vetting all sources, which Dateline didn’t do, apparently. He will, however, trust what the lead prosecutor tells him in an interview.
  • The murderer is not Pappa Rodger.
  • Thompson intends to finish up his four-year term, but may leave early once he stabilizes his office.
  • The DoorDash driver didn’t see the murderer himself (the person), but she would have been called as a witness (more to come from Fixler in The Idaho Statesman).
  • According to LE, the murderer may have chosen the house at random right before the murders! (It was a crime of opportunity.)
  • Thompson pursued and got the death penalty only one time in his career, but it the death penalty was removed on appeal; after that, Thompson did not pursue death penalty until the present case.
  • Fixler invites everyone to attend the hour-long Idaho Statesman livestream Q & A on the case (linked earlier in this thread by @LetsSolvIt) that takes place tomorrow (Tuesday, July 29) from 2 to 3 pm EDT: How we covered the crime that captivated the world
Nope! Still don't believe he chose this house at random. He found online and targeted Maddie/Kaylee-whether they had the awareness or not. I will always believe that based on my knowledge of the case.

This house seems to me so weird, so bizarre...😵‍💫
It's what's called a split-level, but looks like an addition to the original property.

NEW: The police traffic stop video of #BryanKohberger in #Moscow from August 2022, intended for his #Idaho4 capital murder trial, was obtained today by the @IdahoStatesman in response to a public records request. Watch it here. He was sentenced last week.

I haven't read it yet, but I wanted to put this info in my notes. But, I already had it.

August 21, 2022
10:34pm to 11:35pm
BK's Phone utilized cellular resources providing coverage to the King Road residence. Voyeurism?

August 21, 2022,
11:37pm
Bryan Kohberger was detained as part of a traffic stop that occurred in Moscow, Idaho, by CPL Duke. At the time, Kohberger, who was the sole occupant. Pennsylvania plate LFZ-8649 which was set to expire on November 30, 2022.

(Looks like he got busted after a bout of voyeurism M00)

Speeding away from, no less.

Wish the officer had asked what he was doing in Moscow --

How many words could he blather into the wordiverse to say anything but stalking?

Star gazing?

Honest answer if he meant fairy lights and a third floor window.

Dr Gary Brucato is on towards the end and he adds that the MPD summary of his post arrest interview shows things ' you wouldn't expect to see from somebody on autistic spectrum...... masterful evasion' Exellent interview with Brucato on ' double life... manipulative mind, scheming.... masks'
(Snipped by me)

Masking in social situations is a common human behavior, including among autistic individuals.

Contrary to stereotype, autistic individuals can lie (masking, after all, involves some deception):

Deceptive behaviour in autism: A scoping review

Also contrary to stereotype, most autistic individuals have plenty of affective/emotional empathy, though some may struggle with cognitive empathy. It is psychopaths who have no affective empathy.

Though rare, an individual can be both autistic and psychopathic:

The relationship between psychopathy and autism: a systematic review and narrative synthesis

IMO, incels who murder are likely to be both autistic and psychopathic. Such an individual might join an online forum with other individuals who hate women and are envious of romantically successful men, then their lack of affective empathy leads them to use violence to get even.

I imagine if an autistic individual had co-occurring psychopathy, they may be able to lie masterfully—with enough practice.

For what it’s worth, I think the murderer may simply be psychopathic and not be autistic, as Dr. Brocato implies.

I personally know many individuals with autistic traits, but none of these people have psychopathic traits—that I have witnessed, at least.

I also personally know only two individuals who I think are psychopathic. The first (a relative) shows no signs of autism and instead was often manic in his youth. The second (a former roommate) was socially awkward, but this awkwardness was due to his intensity, his need to control others, and his simmering anger that would suddenly erupt, appalling both co-workers and roommates. Like the murderer we discuss here, he was an excellent student, but unlike the murderer, he always had a girlfriend, in spite of his creepy vibe. (If a man is handsome enough, he usually has no problem finding a woman to put up with him.) Anyway, I periodically look up his name to see if he has moved away, or if he is in prison.

didn't he change or get a new cell number when he moved to Washington?

A Levy has the traffic stop too - in case people can't access it on the other website

( He pumps the officer for information! So manipulative. Less than a mile from 1122, he's very calm)

' I'm obviously an honest person....

so if he was planning a murder back in spring 2022, he wouldn't want to give that number away?

Talk about failure to launch.

Gets his own cellphone number at 28, and first time living on his own, he springs right into stalking 1122 King Road (I see no other way to interpret 23+ loops).

He didn't snap. He did what he probably always wanted to, now that no one was watching.

Why would LE want his phone number during a traffic stop?

No, wrong question, Felon.

Why don't YOU want to give it to the police?

Secretive.

Up to no good.

I wonder where he kept his kill kit. In his apartment? Under his seat? In the trunk?

He sure does love the small talk.

I agree, it wasn't a case of he 'snapped' or snapped under pressure from WSU job stress ( MPD documents said that as early as mid September he’d already offended female students, and staff were talking about needing to do an intervention with him wrt his behavior)

he's confident and as cool as a cucumber in this bodycam, despite wearing all black and stalking Kind Rd area. If we ever see the post arrest interview, I guess this is how he'll behave

Gray Hughes has put the map up, if anybody is interested because he located the stop already

Around 49min mark
Gray points out that it was a Friday night

The killer worked part-time in security at Pleasant Valley SD from 2016-2021. Fixler said he didn't know who the second ID belonged to. But for sure it shows the creepy crawly factor at work before he went to Pullman.

it might have been Police style long flashlight/🔦
Also, the back of the knife would leave a stripe as he slugged her with it in his fist.

I also think I misheard. I think it was inside a glove in a box in the Kohberger home, and not in his glove box.

Is this correct?

The IDs were listed on a return from a search of his room. Not his car. So in a glove in a box, not in a glove box.

That's what I remember but I don't have the docs handy to search so 2nd hand info will have to do. I don't remember one of the IDs being from someone connected to 1122 King Rd. Unsure if that's in the unsealed docs or if Newsweek took liberties.
  • Unsealed court documents say police seized ID cards that were inside a glove in a box during a search of Kohberger's parents' home.
  • One ID that was found is reportedly connected to someone in the home where the slayings occurred.
