All of the traffic stop clips, back to back

Was he trying to talk himself out of a ticket for the lack of seatbelt?

He talked himself out of the October stop ticket- the woman cop who stopped him- by claiming there aren't any crosswalks in PA. Is that true, sounds unlikely but IDK

IMO? Yes. He wanted brownie points because he was "obviously an honest person". His words! Not mine. :p

No I think they're referring to 'his voice' as relayed through eg Dateline/whoever. ( Those seeking interviews with BK right now) They also mentioned denying BK his media rights and $
That is good to hear! I had hoped that it was included in the plea deal, but maybe that's not possible.

Whatever he was doing, it stopped completely after November 13.

Yes, so the star gazing hobby simply vanished after Nov 13.
That is a great point

IMO

He came off as rude to me. This was a good natured police officer, I wonder how it would have gone if he was a little less friendly and a bit more accusatory. I’m surprised at no seat belt. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t wear theirs. Surprised he didn’t say they don’t wear seatbelts in his rural community.

That's what I remember but I don't have the docs handy to search so 2nd hand info will have to do. I don't remember one of the IDs being from someone connected to 1122 King Rd. Unsure if that's in the unsealed docs or if Newsweek took liberties.
  • Unsealed court documents say police seized ID cards that were inside a glove in a box during a search of Kohberger's parents' home.
  • One ID that was found is reportedly connected to someone in the home where the slayings occurred.
On the Pennsylvania webpage, Commonwealth v. Kohberger 682 MD 2022, none of the links for the search warrant returns for the murderer’s family home, car, and person are correct (the home link is for the person, the person link is for the car, and the car link is for the home):

One of the questions Fixler answered during today’s Idaho Statesman’s livestream event, “Covering the University of Idaho Murders,” (starting at 42:29) asked if we would find out more details about the items found in the LE search of the murderer’s family home in PA.

Fixler specifically addressed the book with underlining on page 118, the Glock, and the ID cards that were found in a glove in a box:

Fixler said the Glock had nothing to do with the crime scene, but I’d like to know if the gun was registered to the murderer and if he brought it with him to Washington (and Idaho). If the murderer had been captured immediately after his rampage, “suicide by cop” might have been one of his ultimate escape plans (plus he liked to frequent wild places at night, when he might encounter large predators like bears or mountain lions, or other crazy men).

Fixler said he asked Bill Thompson about the book with underlining on page 118, which many people have asked about. Thompson didn’t know which book was underlined, but he said LE found a lot of academic books on forensic psychology, criminal justice, and criminology. Fixler promised to follow up with investigators to find out the identity of the underlined book, which I, for one, am eager to know.

Finally, Fixler said that none of the ID cards that were found in a glove in a box belonged to any of the victims. Instead, one of the cards belonged to a female security guard the murderer worked with at Pleasant Valley School District back in PA, and the other belonged to another woman whose identity was not revealed. Both women were surprised that the murderer had their ID cards.

Star gazing will soon turn into
paint peeling off the walls gazing 😬

Oh dear!
Never mind

Thank you! I had a feeling that was the case which is why I said "or if Newsweek took liberties". I kinda had a feeling about that. ;)

Thank you for clearing that up. :)

The NYT reporter has failed to convey the nuance in Bill Thompson's answer, imo.

Yes, Moscow's two cell towers on their own are powerful enough to encompass the entirety of town—something Anne Taylor was keen to highlight—but it's important to remember that each tower is composed of three antenna spanning 120°. The cell tower that provides service to King Road is just south of the highway. More importantly, the southern antenna that points directly toward King Road is distinct from the western-facing antenna that welcomes travellers from Pullman. It is from these antenna FBI CAST knew he was within 100 meters of the home.

Bill Thompson's point remains valid. Without direct evidence of stalking or video of him parking behind the home, his team must allow for the possibility that BK surveilled other premises in the neighborhood before targeting 1122.
Agreed. Probably won't happen soon but I hope the FBI's reports for this case will be released/made available at some future point through FOI, via the prosecutor's office.

Moo Bill Thompson is simply being extremely cautious and literal about what the evidence could and could not prove, he is not addressing inferences. It's clear to me that the killer knew this Queen Rd/King Road cul-de-sac type neighbourhood very well and had been around 1122 on prior occasions. Jmo

The murderer started at DeSales in person as a third-year undergraduate in the fornensics track of psychology in 2018. Dr. Katherine Ramsland was his advisor, and he took several in-person classes with her.

He was finishing up his in-person undergraduate courses at DeSales when Covid hit in March 2020, which likely forced him to transition to online classes through the end of the semester.

His graduate masters degree at DeSales was an entirely online program, and his graduate advisor was Dr. Michelle Bolger. He would have worked closely with her, though not in person.
so he likes his mother - or seems to... he has sisters... his two college and grad advisors were female...but he has "problems" with females... not really consistent IMO. did he have murderous rage? Or was this all a big game for him?

A Levy has the traffic stop too - in case people can't access it on the other website

( He pumps the officer for information! So manipulative. Less than a mile from 1122, he's very calm)

' I'm obviously an honest person....

What is the drink in the center console? Just wondering. I can't make it out. I am suspicious of anything he has, possibly adulterated.

Again the second weapon is brought out again.

Someone here mentioned he may have had brass knuckles under his glove or over it. Did the reports state he broke some of her teeth? Fists can knocked teeth out easier than break them.

I think there was something thrilling about taking a young woman out of her bed in the middle of the night, leaving no trace (other than victim blood) behind. That is the story of Bundy's first known victim.
I did not know this. Wow. Emulating his idol? That makes all the sense in the world. Gad.

I can't make it out and neither can AI! I selected the label to get more info on it and I laughed when AI said:

it's hard to tell definitively due to the low resolution and blurriness. It could be a beverage, a chemical solution, or something else entirely.

I'm like... tell me something I don't know! lol

I also think I misheard. I think it was inside a glove in a box in the Kohberger home, and not in his glove box.

Is this correct?
EDITED (new): What I remember reading sometime back was the same — ID cards in a glove, in a box at parents’ home. This is from memory and I think read on a police report. I don’t have a more specific source.

So which is correct? Car glove box or box at house?
