"When asked about this possibility,
Thompson said
there was never any definitive evidence that either proved or disproved this theory.

But he said
it was notable that Kohberger was able to move so freely in a house
that is full of blind spots.

'The layout of the house is unique.
It's a little bit confusing',
Thompson noted of the now-demolished residence."

According to Thompson, phone records showed that he was in that area more than 20 times. He went onto say that these visits all occurred after 10 p.m. — "when there would be no legitimate reason for him to be over here to shop."

Those trips were for "looking, surveilling and stalking," Thompson believes, adding that at some point during these trips, Kohberger may have broken into the victims' home.

I didn't realize BK was in the general area of 1122 King Rd. 20 times and always after 10 PM. I bet he tested to see if the sliding glass door was unlocked on several occasions and entered at least once if no one was at home.

Interesting. I'm one who thought he had been inside the house to figure out the lay of the land, and have posted several times that I thought he might have gone inside during a party, and stayed just long enough to get a feel for the layout in his head, and before anyone said "Hey, who's that weird dude? Anyone know who he is?" JMO!

But this makes a lot of sense. If he's been watching from the trees back behind the house, then he very well might have known times when they all left and the house was empty. As a female with several stalkers in my life... this is WAY beyond creepy to me. :( It's bad enough when they come onto your property and/or peek through your windows, but to enter your safe space? It gives me the shivers to even think about. :(

I also think he was inside before.

Just like de Angelo (GSK)
who also "prepared" windows,
through which he later came into the houses of the victims.

He told LE after arrest that he came to WSU on July 1st with his father. ( WSU had said in another MPD document that they thought it was sometime around June 23) Screenshot 2025-08-04 at 22.04.32.webp

PS I am still curious about why BK left Pullman so late that night. Can't recall exact time but will try and find it on Gray Hugh's excellent timeline

Not much of interest in the new Pullman document uploads but here's some of it regardless - via Newsnation.

on the transport op, after his arrest- operation turtle shell
' The documents were posted to the website for the city of Pullman, where Kohberger studied criminology at Washington State University at the time of the killings.
Records revealed a plan called “Operation Turtle Shell” to transport Kohberger from Pennsylvania, where he was arrested, to Moscow.
Under the plan, Kohberger was flown to Washington and then driven under high security to Idaho.
“Mr. Kohenberger is to be secured and placed into a ballistic vest and helmet (Cpt. S. Anderson,
Det. Hazelbaker, Cpl. Duke) and placed into the prisoner compartment of the designated transport
vehicle,” documents revealed.

second item is wrt the 2021 intruder incident, Pullman ruled him out
'
After Kohberger was arrested in 2022 for the killings in Idaho, police revisited the incident, believing he may have been the intruder in Pullman.
However, the investigation determined Kohberger did not live in the area at the time and was not on the campus for any recruiting events.

Grim photo shows nightmarish prison conditions Bryan Kohberger faces Grim photo shows nightmarish prison conditions Bryan Kohberger faces

Oh, the angst! No toys in the playroom. No snacks, no juice boxes! No blankets for naps!
I hope he's skeeved out by his new home. For a germaphobe, it's gonna annoy him beyond words. I hope he doesn't have one moments peace. Daybell is probably preaching, other inmates most probably looking to get paid to protect him. There are so many scenarios that can happen. Apparently a few think he's smart and will try to use him. He's a legend in his own mind. Does he have his tablet and tv already?

Thanks!
Sorry to drag this topic hahaha
But it shows the cultural and language differences :)
Where I live a basement is literally a cellar,
it is underground/a room below ground level in a house.
It is a storage place, housewives can keep pasteurized food in jars and bottles of wine there hehe.
There are only small windows close to ceiling for ventilation and a bit of light.
So when you look up you can see feet/legs of a passer-by.
Imagine living there hehe
Like in horror films,
banished to the basement....ummm...cellar!!
Jeez!!! 😵‍💫
Yes, most basements here are like that, too.

But some small percentage will have the bottom floor built into a hill or slope, as someone here said. That's probably what this was.

According to the Spokesman-Review article, ‘We did what needed to be done’: Prosecutors had to buckle down and drown out public noise to put Moscow killer behind bars for life:

According to the Order Defendants Motions Suppress Arrest Warrants Apartment:

View attachment 605984

So:
  1. LE spotted the murderer in the kitchen
  2. LE breached the house
  3. The murderer raced down the stairs
  4. LE intercepted the murderer
  5. LE arrested the murderer in a bedroom
  6. While awaiting transport, the murderer told LE he had an unloaded Glock by his bed.
So police intercepted the murderer as he ran down the stairs, and arrested him in a bedroom. Was he running to his bedroom? And if so, what had he planned to do with the gun?
Good question. The Glock was unloaded and I believe 3 empty cartridges were with it. No live ammo present. So either he ran on instinct, or was going to do a "sui*ide by cop"? Maybe thought he could run out the slider, but LE was already there. IMO.

We all knew he wasn't going to put up a fight. He only goes after sleeping children.

I don't think he would have had to break in: so many people came and went in that house that he could have just walked in like just a regular person

Or pop the slider open. It's quick and easy to do.

I messaged Kevin Fixler of the Idaho Statesman earlier, as I'm trying to tie up that loose end with the railing DNA. He said he didn't have an answer, but could probably get it. He also said he had some interesting stuff coming tomorrow, and more later in the week.

Running down the stairs is funny! That would have been used in the victim impact statement had it been known. He is a scary-cat coward. Trying to be perceived as a tough guy when everyone is looking.

I have a different word for him, but yeah. Yours doesn't get censored. ;)

I'll bet every student in the country is being 300% more careful with their security these days. I certainly hope so.
