Ummm....

I don't think it would take Sherlock Holmes to find out the place

Judging by the clothes he is wearing & and the cell itself.
And ruling out two houses of incarceration, lol.

Well, it doesn’t look like the solitary confinement cell at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution shown in this 360 Video on YouTube:

Or one of the nine medical cells in the Institution:

Could it be an AI “deep fake”?

ETA:

The cell could also be at the Idaho State Correctional Institution (ISCI):

ISCI is a 1,446-bed, medium-security men's prison south of Boise. Its reception and diagnostic unit (RDU) serves as the entry point for all men entering Idaho's prison system. The facility also has a medical unit and workspace for Correctional Industries' programs.

Or maybe even the jail cell (?) in PA after he was arrested?

IMO

Right?

It’s so strange that he refers to his family not by name but by their role on his phone.

I don’t think he has unfettered access to mommy now. I’d like to know if he does.
Mother. Father. Seriously?

Norman Bates called. He wants his weird formality back.

JMO
I can actually understand entering your parents into your phone as "Mom" and "Dad", but Mother, Father, Sister is straight out of the '50's and I have my sister entered by her name.

I thought it was weird too until I realized I entered my husband and brother's names, followed by the words HUSBAND and BROTHER as emergency contacts so that anyone calling them from my phone would know their relation to me.

Ha! I actually didn’t look at Reddit (or anywhere else but here). I’m not surprised others have speculated the same thing. The cell he is in looks too spacious to me, but it could be a medical unit, given the bed. Did they keep the murderer in prison barracks in PA? I guess that would be more secure than the local jail!

Anyway, I’ve been fooled by AI before, so it just came to me that the video could be fake since both Ada and Latah County denied the video was taken there.

Gotta be that prison reception area. I asked Kevin Fixler but no word back yet.

We are aware of the videos circulating online and are investigating the matter. While we cannot yet confirm the veracity of the videos, if verified, they are a clear violation of IDOC policy and the parties responsible will be held accountable, up to and including termination. We caution that some videos may be fake or AI-enhanced.

On July 23 and again on July 25, IDOC leadership sent two emails to staff reminding them of our policies and expectations concerning professionalism and the appropriate use of technology and social media. Videotaping and publicly sharing security footage is prohibited conduct and we will be reviewing all legal options, including criminal prosecution.

The safety and security of our staff and incarcerated population remain our top priority.

I remember reading he was in a diagnostic unit for some time.
After sentencing.
So...
bingo???

"First, Kohberger will go through two weeks of a Reception and Diagnostic Unit (RDU) process, to
'evaluate their needs and determine appropriate housing placement',
Blake Lopez, the Public Information Officer for IDOC said.
The process takes 7-14 days,
Lopez added."

If it's AI, that's worse than if an employee leaked it, imo - and it's bad if it's a leak.

Okay, but that's a valid purpose, and you identify them both ways- not how you call them, plus he has two sisters- so which one is he ignoring?

"Steve Goncalves said
… He was super pleased to hear inmates are already making Kohberger's life miserable
-- and the fact he complained about it to guards shows how truly stupid he is.

(Exactly my thoughts)

Steve also suspects inmates may see him as a threat
since he committed his murders while the victims were sleeping
-- meaning no cellmate would feel at ease around him."

(Yes, again!)

Yup to me oh looks like an intake cell. I'm guessing from the clothing it will have been not long after he was arrested or transferred. The brown bag on the floor fits that too. Could also be a MA unit before being put in IMSI.

I don't believe for a second that it's AI. It's a true animal in its cage.
