i have ARFID as well. It definitely has nothing to do with murdering someone, but it’s a co-occurring ED for many autistic ppl. Since it’s lesser known, and bc I personally also have struggled with anorexia, I generally just call it “disordered eating” or history of eating disorders

Whether or not bk actually has it, i have no idea, but it’s hardly a punchline. JMO

I removed that portion of my post, as it is never my intent to offend another poster. My comment was basically just to point out the timely convenience of that diagnosis, among the others, by someone hand-picked by the defense, and diagnoses that Judge Hippler was seemingly less than impressed with, as they related to alibis to keep him from being sentenced to death if convicted. Seems as if he had not been speeding toward a trial for quadruple homicide, it would probably have never been mentioned at all. JMO

The MG posted happy birthday to Xana on 7/5 and went on to say that the 2 pictures (another one posted below) remind them so much of her personality. They went on to say that after 2.5 yrs, they decided to read/listen to all of Xana's text/voice messages. It must have been too raw before. They liked hearing her voice and to remember all of her shenanigans.

So while social media can be a great thing for sharing one's life, there's an undeniable dark side. If the Mad Greek posted photos online -- to recognize beloved employees, to showcase their establishment, to ride the times -- a predator could stalk from quite a distance, no one would be any the wiser.

Just like a back to school photo of a child can accidentally give a pedophile all the information he needs, or a college tour photo tells a burglar you're out of town, who imagines that innocent Facebook or Instagram posts will be perverted by a criminal with serious evil intent?

Right. How convenient he was diagnosed by the Defense Psychologists for these disorders soon before trial was to begin. Was the murderer ever diagnosed by an independent Psychologist at any time before the murders and arrest or before he even left PA?

The prescription Levothyroxine, while mainly prescribed for thyroid issues, also notoriously gets used/abused for weight loss. I wonder how long the murderer has been taking this and who prescribed it? It can also have some serious side effects.

I don't remember if she shared an office with him or they just knew each other from being in the same program or maybe she lived in the same on-campus housing complex as he did. Perhaps someone here remembers those details?

It was in the Dateline episode. She shared an office with him and her keys disappeared.

I kind of disagree with NG about LE or the prosecutor lying about charging BK with stalking. IIRC, the incidents of stalking that Kaylee reported and documented unfortunately don't line up with BK's trips to the Moscow area on security cam video and other phone data, etc. I think it was GH who pointed this out on his "timelines" videos. The incident of someone breaking the front door and of Kaylee seeing someone in the back yard were on different dates than BK's trips to Moscow.

Yes, according to his driving records, he stalked them, but he couldn't be charged with those specific incidents because the prosecution didn't have evidence to back it up. To me, it was even more disturbing that it appears someone besides BK was also stalking the girls. We can assume that person is still out there. I hope LE is investigating that, especially when someone broke down the front door.

Evidence to back it up may have been what he managed to delete from his phone. I assume he did the stalking, not someone else.

I want to point out that the Mad Greek Facebook and the Mad Greek physical restaurant are not the same thing. The restaurant can be long gone and the owner still posting to Facebook. What's interesting (and by 'interesting' I mean 'chilling') is that, in his papers, he acknowledges that voyeurism (among others) is both a crime and a motive.

23 times he was in the immediate area of 1122 King Road.

The night he got pulled over, iirc he had been stopped in the area for a length of time. Four loops, the morning of the crimes, five if you count the return.

Courtesy of residential security cameras, the movements of the Elantra are alarming. He's watching the house; even from a fair distance, he can zero in on it; then there's this dance with the DDD, as he investigates and acts/reacts. What is voyeurism? You're right, AT, maybe 'stalking' is the wrong word. The word is voyeurism. Harmless? Even he recognizes it's criminal. Knowing someone watched you, even if you weren't doing anything particularly intimate, is unnerving. A violation.

And he pairs it -- voyeurism has a sexual component. He calls it non contact sexual motivation.

His officemate, the one whose key was missing then returned, who had items rearranged in her home? How creepy, unsettling.

How many homes has he entered? Had he previously entered 1122 King? Did he break the lock during a reconnaissance visit or failed one? Did he enjoy watching people sleep? Did he watch any of the victims sleep? That early morning? Prior to then? That well could have been a part of his motive. Given his adult searches, IMO we can assume it was an element. Even if his prurient interest was non-contact (outside of what a kbar could contact, which is A LOT), it may have been sexually gratifying to watch a sleeping, incapacitated victim, and then murder her has the ultimate sex act.

I think that's what he meant when allegedly he said he could have any girl he wanted. Not hard when she's asleep/inebriated/unarmed/unaware and he has a knife. Not about sex, it's about power and control. What's THAT sound like?

IMO he'd say as much.

I thought Nancy Grace's interview with Kaylee's parents was an eye opener. The prosecutor (suspect due to the gag order) kept a lot of information from the family. Somehow that just doesnt sit right and it's very disappointing that victims' families are treated as such. I am glad that the Goncalves speak up and hope their voices are heard for years to come. Their story is important. jmo

The investigator walked into the courtroom that day and said and we had arranged that and he said, "Here's the autopsy report." So, in reading that autopsy report, we found out that uh Kaylee had
been stabbed 24 times to her face and head. Um, she had 11 to her chest, neck, and like torso area and three to her upper extremities. So, uh, I thought about her eyes, too. I was like, was her eyes stabbed? But, um, somehow or another, Kaylee's eyes had not been stabbed. Um, Kaylee did have really bad, um, facial damage. She or some of
her teeth were were missing. Several were broken. Um and she had two subdural hematomas to her head. So um
her nose was broken badly. Yeah. So that for me it was outrage because my daughter was fighting up to her very last breath over and over. She kept trying to get out of that bed and he was just drilling her and and she's fighting for her last breath

This is a follow-up to my own post. I think that the oil and water issues between the family and prosecution team (perhaps it's inherent, perhaps not) are circumstantial. I would like to believe that families are listened to, not that their wishes will be enacted but that they feel heard, validated, and are kept in the loop.

The DP is the issue I try not to discuss. I personally had to warm up to the idea of the plea deal over time, favoring a trial. And, I think it might have needed a little nuancing. That said, there are merits of all perspectives not just lumping everyone in the camp of vigilante justice or letting a quadruple murderer off too easy.

It would also be nice if the community felt let in on this outcome. I am very accepting of it now, but really feel for how the families must have perceived events. JMOO

He had a lot of issues of self-hatred, as he has a distorted image of himself. Something seen in Elliot Rodger, James Holmes, Lori Drew, Rebecca Grossman, Gertrude Baniszewski, Fred Phelps, Adam Lanza, Eric Harris, Nikolas Cruz, Salvador Ramos, Robert Poulin, and Robin Westsmith. Self-hatred runs very deep in Bryan Kohberger, like them.

I dont anticipate the killer being honest, imo, killer doesnt even know why he killed four innocent smart people, but it would be interesting interview nonetheless. Mr. Scott is a talented investigative reporter asking all the right questions and knows how to listen and let the killer talk. He's (Scott) in control of the interview during the entire time. moo

I think Ramsland is our best bet. He knows her, he trusts her, he respects her.

She’s a good interviewer too. There’s an ID special about Dean Coryll’s accomplice, whom she was able to get to open up to her.

To me this crime scene photo from King Road really tells a story. I spoke with ISP Lead Detective Lt Darren Gilbertson who says they believe the killer left the upstairs bedroom where he killed Maddie Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves to pursue Xana Kernodle. [did not post photo... can be found at Kayna's X page]

Xana had walked up the stairs to find out what was going on. In this moment you might imagine panic and running but that’s now how investigators think it played out. Instead, they believe Kohberger walked down the stairs, telling Xana “Its ok, I’m here to help you,”

while blood was dripping from the KA-BAR style hunting knife. He moved systematically, without disturbing a beer-pong table near the stairs, one that investigators had to walk sideways to get past. Not a single cup was knocked over.

The blood dripping from the knife in a catalogued pattern, not sprayed everywhere that would indicate the killer was sprinting.Then … “when Xana made it to her doorway, reality hits, he begins to stab her,” said Gilbertson.

She fights for her life in a way that investigators say, “made her family proud,” but after 50 stab wounds the tiny 5’3” 20-year-old succumbs. The sister of Kaylee Goncalves told us she believes Xana was the reason the sheath was left behind, that she’s a hero.

Lastly this the kitchen - the food Xana left on the counter - the sign that reads “this is our happy place” with the sliding glass door still partially opened.
