Speculation: if she was attacked whilst standing, she may have had gravitational blood drops on the top of her feet. If so, they would have wanted to check those to ensure none of them were the blood of her attacker.

MOO

Also, if she was attacked and then walking back and forth or side to side in the area where she was attacked, she may have stepped in her own blood with that foot.

The perp is at fault, not the victims, but please tell your young people moving out on their own for the first time, to put curtains in the windows and pull them shut at night.

JMOPINION
And lock the doors.

The problem with these issues on college campuses…
- having room, car, apartment, broken into
- having personal belongings stolen from self, car, room, apartment
- being a victim of stalking on campus
- being a victim of sexual assault, from groping -> Grape
- being robbed, purse snatch
- being roofied at an on campus event

Is they often are not treated as a crime warranting attention
- often go unreported- Most female students assume nothing will be done.
- ‘handled internally’- Schools don’t want to panic others or ruin reputations.

Common issues aren’t typically committed by a loner incel, who has other issues.

And they didn’t amount to murder, so didn’t get a lot of attention.
And few campuses have acted as if those crimes are signs of larger crimes.

So they continue regularly

IMO
You are exactly right! One gal was almost attacked—woke up to see a guy with a knife in her room—kicked him in the stomach and he ran off. Said the police laughed at her.

Also, it kills me that Kaylee thought she had a stalker, saw someone in the woods watching. It is unclear at this point if she made a police report; so the girls always went out in pairs, took a rideshare home, were aware of their surroundings—and yet failed to lock the sliding glass door.

Ive had YouTube on in the background while I do paperwork, etc. First, I can’t believe how many people are “reporting” on this case. It’s mind boggling. It’s to the point where they are having each other on their shows as guests. Bizarre.

Also a lot of misinformation being spread—case in point; Dylan said she heard someone say, it’s okay; I’m here to help.”

Someone was retelling her story and said that Dylan said she heard someone say It’s okay Kaylee, I’m here to help.

Now, many of these channels are reporting that and saying Kaylee was the target etc.

There are those still saying that Xana’s father replaced her lock the weekend before, but that was due to a mishearing by Xana’s mom.

And some are saying the blood on the outside of Xana’s from was Ethan’s. But unless her bed was up against that wall. It couldn’t be his.

<Mod snip no source>

I have a feeling that when the UN of Idaho found out who the suspect was, they alerted the UN of Washington and the University fired him to avoid/reduce damage to the University’s reputation.

Just some of my thoughts/opinions. I also think the damage done to Ethan was more horrific than they’ve said. They don’t seem to plan on releasing the autopsy so unless someone successfully FOIYA’s it, we’ll never know. JMO

Someone was retelling her story and said that Dylan said she heard someone say It’s okay Kaylee, I’m here to help.

That was in ISP document 32--but that's because it was a retelling. Doc 32 was written by ISP Detective Talbott. He was writing down what Moscow Sgt. Blaker said to him as a summary of the situation.

So, Blaker got it wrong in his summary/retelling and Talbott merely documented it.
And some are saying the blood on the outside of Xana’s from was Ethan’s. But unless her bed was up against that wall. It couldn’t be his.

The blood was on south side of the house, towards the west end. Maddie's bed was right up against that wall (the head of the bed directly up against the west wall, the side of the bed along the south wall of her room). And Ethan's head, as was said in the police reports, was up against that wall.

Gray Hughes does a good visual explaining it right here (and if you go back further in the video he uses some of the crime scene photos, the girls' social media, and his 3d model of the house to show how the bed, Ethan's body position, and the outside stain line up.

I hope they don't though; the Idaho Statesman that is. The relevant ISP narrative doc clearly shows that this was simply a misunderstanding by one LE officer who then conveyed that misunderstanding to a second officer (who is authoring the narrative). All of DM's actual interview docs mention no naming by the killer.

I was hoping the appropriately named Kevin Fixler would set the record straight on the non-event of the killer using KG's name.

Moo, anyone interested in accuracy should not rely on Banefield. She did her usual sensational, poorly researched reporting. One more piece of misinformation introduced to the public which will probably never entirely lose its legs. Jmo
From Friday's thread

sometimes I think the Banfield show does it deliberately. It happens so often. You have to click on the old post- for the clip and reply.
Banfield show has been quick and emphatic to call out Dateline's inaccuracies but does the show ever correct itself? IDK

Too many podcasters show Banfield clips and round and round we go

In the crime scene photos that were released, there is a good shot of open sliding glass door---and the knob and the handle are in the locked position. So, it was locked....the question is did BK pop the door like on various YT videos or was the part the lock "hook" was supposed to connect with malfunctioning in some way? Either way, someone in that house thought that they had locked the sliding glass door that night.

Paywall....

But the headline says it all...

"I taught Bryan Kohberger about mass killers,

here's why we must study his brain."

🤔

Career goals
BK to TA Ben, supp 0133. Maybe it crossed his mind that he could get prison visits or correspond with incarcerated killers like Ramsland had?

Screenshot 2025-08-19 at 09.07.26.webp
BTK was one of the many serial killers identified by the Cellebrite team (BK's 26 Dec binge surfing)

BK made references to Ramsland to another WSU witness who basically replied that she'd prefer to meet KR off her own initiative, not through BK

Research goals?

In the documents he makes references to his chosen field of study and specific research interests. 'Sexual burglars', ' offender decision-making' and their emotions and that the perps impulses were more important than victimology.
Corresponding with incarcerated killers would be a step-up from reddit questionnaires.

Yes that stood out. It's the same female student ( where do you live & which dog) I wondered if he was trying to throw them off because she'd said something like -could be a SK.

Another thing stood out in the documents, although it's not in her show. In the WSU dump the interviewees reference a potluck they held. It was just before winter break and he turned up wearing all black, including black gloves. IDK the exact date but if he's so compulsive and voyeurism is an engrained pattern developed over years in PA, maybe he felt the urge to start prowling again in December ??
I've read it in multiple places that the murderer did wear gloves regularly after the murders. I would not put it past him in an effort to keep his fingerprints off items that could be seized surreptitiously in public.

I believe leaving the sheath and the thought of his DNA being recovered spiraled the murderer. Along with the BOLO's on the WE and the CCTV footage, he was getting more spooked and paranoid as time went by.

BK and Defense used ASD to explain away behaviors. I am not buying it and it is disrespectful to anybody who is on the spectrum. Just shows you how manipulative he is, and what lengths they go to in applying diversional tactics. JMOO
I also have a hard time accepting any diagnosis the murderer claims to have unless tested recently by an impartial MH expert.

This sighting could literally be anybody but pasting it anyway. ( Gray's Hughes collects dates & locations and in the future we might get the CAST data on the 23 visits - to match up sightings of prowlers and suspicions)
Also, BK repeatedly tells WSU folks that his hobby is to hike trails & his nearest neighbor speaks of BK often returning home in the small hours, dressed in black with a backpack

Tip line item Supp 134
October 9th at 1.30- 2am, on a trail near the golf course ( Moscow?)

You can copy the YouTube address and add into an AI video summariser that will summarise the video for you. If you Google 'Youtube video summariser no login needed' you should be able to use one without downloading anything.

Keyword search - forests & woods

To one of the WSU grads he'd tried to flirt with ( from the ' where do you live and what type of dog' conversation) 169

102. Different female TA ( this is medicine cabinet student)

Feels like this is akin to duping or as if he wants them to ask ' Oh, that's an unusual hobby, why do .....'

If, or assuming that was the felon, i wonder what he was doing there. I didn't know that the college had its own golf course (until I google mapped 1122 King Road and zoomed out).

Dressed in black, hiking on or off trails in the middle of the night?

Feels very predatory.

Why he didn't hike into the house from a distance we'll never know. He might have been able to avoid security cameras on foot. No circling Elantra if he had hiked in from a distance.

While Moscow slept, believing it was safe, the felon dressed in black was apparently lurking in a lot of shadows.

Are we ever safe?

Thanks for looking for the actual golf course. There was no golf course named on that Supp document.

Anyway re bolded, yes absolutely.
It reminds me of that WS conversation we had about the white sedan sightings on the roads behind 1122 and local LE saying Blake Avenue has a well known footpath running along the treeline to the trees behind 1122

BTW, although he frequently raises the subject of hiking, running, forests etc with women, he never mentions star-gazing.

This "star gazing" bit by Defence was so silly.
As if treating people like idiots.
It actually made me mad haha

He did have a couple of old dark sky photos of the moon on his phone - the Cellebrite experts said so - so I guess he retrofitted it not realising that the State could go get the exact weather conditions for that night. ( proving that it was overcast and no stars were ' gaze-able' that night)

As far as he's concerned and according to WSU witnesses he always has to be 'the smartest person in the room'

WRT the duping on solo forest hobby and unnecessary info, here's part of what he volunteered to cops after they've just stormed his PA home and zip-tied his parents

Honestly officer - Im just a God-fearing young man. The power of the natural world.

Considering what we know now, that divine conversion could also be a P/ss take directed at ' dumb cops' ( IHO) and fits your post perfectly

  • Bryan Kohberger was the only first-year doctoral candidate in Washington State University criminology program who supported the death penalty, according to students.
  • In an argument with one classmate he told her to imagine that her 12-year-old daughter had been raped and murdered.
  • He also said the victim's family should decide on the death penalty — then took a plea deal to avoid being executed.

"He became a topic of weekly discussion in disciplinary meetings,
specifically in regard to his
'interactions with fellow postgraduate students, in and out of the classroom,
along with his behavior around some of the Criminal Justice Professors'.

Among the complaints were accusations from several women
that Kohberger made sexual comments about them,
including asking a deaf classmate if
'she would be comfortable procreating given the fact she had a disability',
the outlet reported."
