JMO as an autistic person: I have to work to keep in mind that “
rules” are not ironclad and sometimes leave room for interpretation. He was probably given some sort of rules or expectations for prisoner behavior and legal requirements for nutrition etc. Now he is fussing bc the others are “breaking the rules” and that could be causing confusion that his brain can’t reconcile.
This happens for me in environments like school. When I would see others getting a pass at breaking rules, I’d get confused then on which rules
are actually set in stone?
Who is allowed to bend them? and under what circumstances? Should I follow the rules

? Even that one I don’t agree with? etc
Y'all may be happy to know it’s a
very uncomfortable feeling

like my brain is wrinkled from trying to work out how to behave and what to expect from the behavior of others. It may take him longer than other cons to get his bearings in this new environment, socially. Oh well.
