Jackson Township police investigate ‘racially charged threat’ allegedly made against middle school girl

Police are investigating a threat that is alleged to have been made inside a local middle school and say they have no choice but to take it seriously.

Nicole Arnold describes her 11-year-old daughter, a sixth grader at Jackson Memorial Middle School, as smart, sweet, very soft spoken and not one for violence or drama. But the girl, who we have agreed not to identify, said she was recently the focus of a racially charged threat against her life.

Arnold said her daughter, who is bi-racial, was with a friend in the school's lunch room when they were surrounded by a group of boys who locked arms around them and said "This is Trump (MAGA) country and we are the wall and all black people should die."

"We are going to interview the kids that were involved. There's video of the incident. We are going to look at that and we are going to find out the truth, then we will make decisions based on what that investigation shows and it will be forwarded to the prosecutor. They will look at it then to determine whether charges are warranted or not."

Classmates accused of threatening young girl at Stark County school

Nicole Arnold says her 11-year old daughter, who is biracial, was threatened by a group of 10 boys who surrounded her at Jackson Memorial Middle School.

"They locked arms on their shoulders and proceeded to tell her this is 'Trump Country'," Arnold explains. "They told her that all black people should die and you're not welcome."

Jackson Township Police are now investigating and reviewing school surveillance video that captured an incident in the cafeteria.

Racial bullying alleged at Stark County school

Police and school district officials are investigating allegations of a bullying incident involving a biracial student at Jackson Memorial Middle School.

According to reports, the student and a friend were surrounded by 10 boys who said they were “the wall,” and “this is MAGA country and that all black people should die.” According to a report filed with Jackson Township police, the confrontation made the child fearful.

Students involved attend sixth grade, according to a statement Jackson Local Schools issued. Officials are interviewing students who can provide information, Superintendent Chris DiLoreto said. “School safety continues to be a priority at Jackson Schools,” he said in a statement.

There is a very scary recent history of threats at the school. I am happy LE is taking it seriously.

Wow! Just wow! Just stunned. The poor girl! I don't know what to say. First thought is children listen. Children listen to the views their parents have. Child listen to the news in the background. They may not completely understand but they still can interpret what they think things mean. This story is just awful!
