I share similar concerns. It's hard for me to be impartial because I loathe Casey Anthony. When I put my feelings aside,I think the Jury might come to the conclusion that,"Yes, she is guilty",but what is she guilty of. Will the Jury see evidence Caylee was murdered? Will they see evidence the duct tape was associated with her death? How about her behavior? Is it possible Casey's immature, irresponsible, personality traits could end up helping her? The Jury might conclude this immature young woman would behave the same way if Caylee died by accident. As much as I hate to consider the above, it is a possible scenario.
:truce:

btw, I voted LWP. I have no doubt Casey was responsible for Caylee's death. However, I would need to know the cause of death before I could vote DP.

Why???
This was not an accident with staging and cover-up the way JonBenet Ramsey's death was- they actually did call LE! Casey wanted her dead. The SA does not need to prove exactly how she killed her, and without a videotape of it or Casey's confession, we'll never know. It's not necessary for a 1st degree murder conviction. We still don't know exactly how Laci Peterson died, but Scott got a 1st degree murder conviction because we know for a fact he killed her, and he's on Death Row. Obviously the last person seen with her and who had access to her and means and motive (her mother Casey Anthony) killed Caylee. Caylee didn't die by natural means or suicide and bag herself and tape herself and throw herself into the woods- common sense!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I'm not good at statistics but looking at that chart if there were only 12 people voting,I think you would be looking at a hung jury. You also should remember that the members of W/S have seen, read, listen to,and perused MUCH more info than the jury will ever be told, because of time constraints etc. This IMHO is scary and plays right into the D/T hands, this is what they wanted, and (with all due respect) if the members here are not certain about her sentence how could you expect a jury to be?:waitasec:

Maybe she is not sure if it were an accident and KC was "irresponsible" in not taking care of her.

Although I believe it was planned and finished that day June 16th.

By the way Linask, do you think the diary was written on the 21st and pertains to all of this?

Yes I do, I believe it was all written on June 21, 2008.
Look at her journal entries about her newfound freedom and happiness, and every day is a new beginning, the end justifies the means, etc...
It all ties in.

respectfully I must disagree, as most votes are guilty with either DP or LWOP (or what we think is LWOP :D) and so we would not hang - only disagree on a punishment.

Mannn. (lol) As soon as I read the question, knowing everything about the case that I do, the Mommy came out in me, & I straight up voted for Death Penalty.

But I think I'll have to go back on my vote. I think LWOP would be so much more... well, :great:.

General Population? Sounds awesome. :Bennymonkey: No one ever sees or hears anything that happens; it's part of their "politics". Sorry, I've been watching too many gangland/jail shows;) They don't take too kindly with women who commit certain types of offenses.

DP is too easy. She will wish she had the DP by the time a quarter of her sentence is served. Although she'll have plenty of people writing her (:loser:), just Cindy writing those jab-taking, sly undertone letters alone are enough to drive KC insane. :) And this time it will be legally insane. Not these rubbish tricks that the DT are trying to pull out of their cowboy hat(s). Sorry mods if this is too mean.

ETA: I just seen that it said LWP? Life with Parole? No. Never mind then. DP all the way. But if LWP meant life without parole, then yes.

I'm worried about the Not guilty (1)and the undecided (7) (what's that about)just trying to make some sense out of it that's all,I agree majority have voted guilty in some fashion,it's just those eight votes I'm having problems with. Wonder where these people really stand :waitasec:

The printouts found in their trash, and statements in depos have already proven the Anthony's read here, so don't be surprised if they or the defense post here as well...

I believe some of our regulars have said they want to hear all the testimony / evidence before deciding- even tho they believe her to be guilty too.

I want to change my vote. No way do I want ICA to have parole - ever! I was sure it said LWOP. If it is a choice between Death or LWP - then Canuck or not - Death it is.:maddening:

If it was NOT CA, please post your comments. Perhaps you can share information that we have not seen or heard yet. Don't feel shy to express your side of the story. I know it can feel intimadating when the rest of the forum does not agree with you, but in the end we are all here to find the truth. Whatever it may be.

That being said, if we don't hear anything, we will just assume it was CA or someone related to the family.

Like the 1 person voting not guilty would admit it in this thread or anywhere on this forum. They would be attacked in a heart beat. Look at the reaction to just the vote.

I guess it's the juror in me that has a few questions for my fellow W/S about this.(I love this poll) I think there is a misconception about what LIFE means in the penitentiary. On my last criminal trial,I voted for LWOP.thinking that I had done the right thing. When the District Attorney (the lawyers who tried the case) came into the jury room to talk to the jury after the trial,(they always do this) they advised us that the public has a preconception about what life is like behind bars, via watching TV shows, where someone is hurt etc. This can and does happen he explained to us,but the general rule is these people walk around, play ball, cards,GO TO SCHOOL and get degrees, they are very social in prison. As a lay person with no idea of what happens in prison, I was flabbergasted, thinking I was sending this person to a dark dank place where they would spend the rest of their life. Honey it's not always like that. ICA could end up with a college education and play para-legal for real, for other prison inmates. I don't think the "Big Bertha" scenario would scare ICA that much,I think she is adaptable and would just roll with the punches. I think she will be treated like a celeb in prison. That is why I voted for D/P,that would end all the college courses and the games played behind bars. JMHO :maddening:

in addition in the state of FL a life sentence is literal - if she gets life, she does not get parole.

Bumping to clarify - in FL Life means LIFE! no parole!

I voted 'other' for the very same reasons as OLG. While I believe ICA is guilty, until I hear ALL of the evidence I can't say that she is guilty or not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt from a jurors POV.

From a sleuthers POV I would say guilty and LWOP.
