I wonder if Mr Desmond Filby has a middle name which he also dislikes and would like to change - eg Cuthbert, Cecil, Ambrose, Aloysius, Ethelbert, Hurtle?
He does have a middle name…
Desmond Christopher Filby

He is going to have a hard time in Port Phillip Correctional Centre...
In all honesty, I hope he doesn’t make it there, purely for the sake of the correctional and medical and nursing staff of the prison…. He will be nightmare to look after as he doesn’t respect the law at all …I feel he would argue every point of incarceration incessantly….. it would be very draining on staff day after day ….… and even other prisoners, I would imagine …( creating unrest among inmates and therefor more headaches for staff….)

All MOO

‘Do the right thing for your family’: Freeman’s friends implore him to surrender

A friend of Dezi Freeman’s who also lived on the same Porepunkah property where the shooting unfolded told reporters on Friday he has been helping take care of Freeman’s wife Mali and their children, describing them as “highly stressed.”

“To Dezi, do the right thing for your family,” Fabio Zambelli told Channel Ten. “Giving up, surrender. “I’m not here to judge ... but there’s a woman and kids under high stress.”

Roadblock back up near Dezi Freeman’s old home in Porepunkah

As Porepunkah braces for wild weather, the roadblock near the property where alleged gunman Dezi Freeman was living has been set up again.

This is the third afternoon in a row that police have blocked off this part of the area.

There is low cloud cover, and the helicopter, which usually flies overhead, is not around. It is unclear if they are currently searching in the area.

I wonder if DF made contact with his family somehow and they didn’t tell the Police? But Police knew from surveillance…….???

I have been wondering if Police can triangulate “Starlink” ??? Like they can with phone towers….

Starlink is very popular in the bush and remote settings for coverage, used a lot up north now for hunting camping fishing adventures in Cape York etc and there are still many rural places that still have no regular internet coverage with 5G etc

8:40pm seems late to arrest a 15y/o that is most likely in shock and grieving to some extent …. JMO …. But I am a bit of a softie

Probably just a tactic to get to Dezi.

And yes, Starlink emits radio signals which could, with the right equipment, be detected

'May or may not be charges that follow' arrests, commissioner says

By Melissa Brown

Chief Commissioner Bush is taking questions from the media about the arrest and release of Dezi Freeman's wife and a teenage boy.

He says he cannot talk about the specifics of what happened.

"There was search warrants executed last night," he says.

"People were interviewed totally and specifically in relation to the homicide investigation.

"Those searches have been completed, the interviews have been conducted, those people have been released.

"There may or may not be charges that follow but it would be very inappropriate for me to say anything else at this point."
