Some interesting words at the start of this presser

Police : "I'm going to change tack a little bit, and read into this what you will"
Thanks Doc, that was a good presser. Kahan’s delivery and choice of words was interesting.

So in this context, “harbour” doesn’t necessarily mean hiding Freeman in their home, but does mean knowingly aiding and protecting him to continue evading the law.
Seems Freeman has some favourite spots out there that may be pre-prepped stash points perhaps?
How though do you help a fugitive in a lockdown zone swarming with drones, dogs, and tactical units?

The search area continues to change and widen as police receive new information, with Superintendent Kahan mentioning the town of Nagambie – 150km west of Porepunkah – as a potential new area of interest.”

That would require wheels or hoofs or a magic carpet or something? ;)

It beggars belief that so called supporters are aiding him. He’s a murderer, and using his political agenda to convert fools. They’re not very bright if they can’t see what’s wrong with his actions. I can understand the need to challenge, until someone gets hurt, then it’s time to step back and take responsibility. Lock them up if they’re found guilty of aiding a criminal.

I hate seeing police resources waisted on mindless idiots. Trying conditions and it’s costing our government (all levels) an absolute bomb.

It is difficult to imagine the utter lack of logic that his supporters must be infecting themselves with.. this can only end one of two ways, and neither is pretty or comfy, and no possible end results in a win for Dez. .,.. either out in a body bag, or out and into Port Phillip Correctional for life.,. this is the best outcome. ,Dez has lost the game way back last week.

It is a good presser. The cops are getting might pissed off now .

Using very interesting language IMO ( BBM )

" Anyone who is harbouring Dezi Freeman"

" Or know something about the people who are harbouring Desi Freeman "

" You are committing an extremely serious crime "

"People know the whereabouts of the person who has killed 2 cops "

"People have chosen for whatever reason not to come forward"

Response to reporter questions

" People know"

Reporter : "What makes you say you know he is being helped?"

Police : " It's different to knowing and believing, what I will say is that information that we have , would suggest that people know "

I do not believe Dez could go this long without his phone and his camera...life for Dez only exists thru the lens...if it isnt recorded , it didn't happen.

Thing is, they must be monitoring bank accounts/social media/phone activity etc...so if he has access to electronics (and he is a tiny bit smart) he would know not to leave an online trail.
They probably also put people he knows under surveillance, they may be tapping phones, etc...So I don't know that he can go too much longer without leaving traces of his presence somewhere (online or offline).

I wonder if when raiding properties of other people connected to him they have actually bugged homes/cars/etc. to gain intelligence.

They see law enforcement as oppressors rather than protectors. Police represent tyranny and violence against them is reframed as self-defence or resistance. Dezzy the cop murderer becomes a martyr, not a criminal.

Dezzy’s just a man lost in his own legend and the local tinfoil tribe are incapable of ever questioning the script. This could take awhile and it probably won’t end well.

I think so too. Maybe burner phones, a radio, and/or encrypted devices and messages being observed to be at play. Or dropped off gear and markings etc found in the bush searches?
This is like Hunted Australia without the production crew or prize money.
Hunted: Sovereign Edition.

Police on the ground are really sitting ducks if he is armed and in the bush. He has already proven he is capable of ambush ( allegedly ). The news footage of police scouring bushland is a bit too casual for my liking. In my view the longer this drags on the more likely it is of more victims. Obviously thermal imaging hasn't found him thus far. Any thoughts on his present location?

"People know of the whereabouts of someone that's killed two cops"

Dezi may be good at running away and hiding but how good are his friends at keeping a secret?

Ironically for someone who preaches that laws don't apply to him, by running away he is directly acknowledging that laws do in fact apply to him.

I agree. And for the people that know where Desmond is and/or know information about Desmond, wouldn’t they be worried about which one of them will crack under the pressure first?

They sure would be worried. It sounds like they have found a weak link in the chain!

I wonder if they think he is being helped because they haven’t found him.
I’m reminded of Eric rudolph that hid in the mountains for 5 years before capture.

Wheels provided by a sympathiser? A lift out of town, or a vehicle for Dezi to use.

With Nagambie now being in the mix it’s likely police know who is helping him

If DF knew beforehand he had a warrant, sorry please help me understand how he would? I do think he planned to ambush those officers and then take off for a friend to hide him imo

If I'm remembering correctly I believe there was a key coded gate at the start of the property. Good chance that could have alerted people to LE presence before they made their way down the driveway.
