I had a go at trying to track who had a driving licence in that family, and who had access to a car , and it was like chasing mercury, Dez's licence was on and off , more off than on over the last few years, due to refusing, stupidly, to pay traffic fines for piddly stuff, like speeding thru Myrtleford, a ridiculous thing to do, refusing to show his licence, refusing to pay registration , refusing to pay insurance, refusing to conduct timely repairs., ..... how very wearisome this must have been for the Wang and Bright coppers, one can only guess...

Mali's driving stuff is marginally better, but under Dez's tutelage , she managed to reach some real high points re ordinary , terribly ordinary car rules, which everyone agrees to, but not Dez and not Mali.... she totted up fines to the tune of about $3000, her van was impounded and they had to cough up about $2400 to get it out of car hokey.,

I presume she did get her van returned to her, but her licence is a but murky she may still be in licence limbo . I can't find her licence being operative.

Which brings me to the 19 yr old son, of whom I know nothing, and am presuming he is the family driver, which means, logically, he drove himself , mum and the littlies out of the carnage of murdered coppers and off to a pal's home..
1:03 @Trooper Koah (15) and Keni / Kedi?

not Koah... but Keni, he and Marli (mum) conveniently work at the same supermarket.. ( or did ) which would have been handy if she could not drive, but of all this I am making guesses more based on being unable to verify that her licence is valid. It would not surprise me if none of them had a driving licence, that would require a birth certificate for the kids, at least, unless the oldest just escaped the birth certificate nonsense..... it is not improbable that he did, poor little fella.

Him and Marli home schooling the kids, Dez's claim to fame is he left school at 13, and Marli's is she can play the ukelele..... slim grounds for educating 3 children for 21 st century life. IMO

Wife of alleged Porepunkah gunman present at time of double shooting, police confirm

Updated September 3, 2025 — 4.16pm

“She has been interviewed by Victoria Police for obstructing police at the time of the incident, the crime, that occurred and a brief of evidence will be compiled, and she may be charged in due course,” Kelly said.

Me sir, pick me.. I reckon she did not warn the police, that she had the means and the method, but she chose silence. Of course, for all we know she might have been his sidekick, sorting out the ammo, loading up the weaponry. being , in other words, Dez's willing assistant.

It is not an improbable theory.

Her sudden admiration for the police was extremely convenient, and hardly credible. ... maybe she ran interference for Dez while he ran , loaded up , maybe she assisted in removing the firepower from the dead men he murdered, ... could be any number of things... She knows where he is, though. for sure.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed> ... He took off out the back with the wife and kids, and she went down the road to a friends place where the police met up with her later. Did he go there too and then headed off to a prepped bunker close by with a blanket and thermos tucked under his arm? The police are circling his property and its immediate area on a daily basis by the looks of it, and “know” or “believe” (I didn’t grasp what Kahan meant) that he's being assisted. Today I’m pondering whether he may have stayed within familiar territory where his flask can be refilled.

Pressure on the wife and a bounty. 🎯 🍺💰

Interesting that they are putting up privacy screens at the command post @ Ovens

I thought today's presser was a little tense between the media & police, compared to others.

Seems to me there has been a shift in the relationship between the media & cops, or am I over thinking it??

I can’t find Keni/Kedi anywhere. I’m also doubtful that he still lived on the property or was there at the time of the shooting. He wasn’t brought into the station with Mali and his brother either. More recent photos show the 15 year old and the toddler with Mali but not the oldest boy.

Helped him get away is my guess. But I guess that would be an accessory charge not obstructing

Koah was home schooled - which I assume he would have been taught by his parents.

I see he has stated that he “ works at no were”….

There are a few pics in the net of him doing pretty good on his BMX.

Say, there is a bunker, just for arguments sake.. I can't see Dez building it himself, he would make Marli and the kids pull their weight, probably on the grounds that it will be their bunker, too, hard to believe he actually planned these murders, and to run of fas a single man , leaving the wife and kids to face the music, but I put nothing past him, he's a weak sort of bloke.

He'd have Marli salting down the deer , the roo, the wombat, stashing it in jars , he'd make her do the housewifely stuff for the 'bunker'.... he would not do it on his own, he sees himself as executive status, they tell people they don't actuall DO.

I think that the 15 year old, Keni/Kedi was taken into the Police station. I don’t think we have heard anything about the 19 year old son, Koah.

“Victoria Police say they arrested and later released Dezi Freeman's 42-year-old wife and 15-year-old son as part of the operation to find the alleged shooter.”

It was the 15 yr old that was with Marli on that wild goose chase into Wangaratta court where the court was closed... I have a feeling she went there to table some document, or some request, about some infringement, it was not any case that she was called for, ( because the court was closed, not operative for that day ) it looked like she had a female companion with her, I presume her driver..

All this costs money, when you are on the dole, its about 55 klms ... 110 klms round trip. Porepunkah to Wangaratta .

Maybe, she is certainly making some really unwise decisions IMO
Agree. The police may be attempting to apply some heavy psychological pressure on dumbarse Dez with their interactions with, and comments on Mrs Freewoman to try and flush him out. It's worth a try I guess.

Harbouring a fugitive or withholding info or interfering with evidence or misleading the police etc ?

If she’s charged she won’t be locked up will she? If she’s helping Dezzy the police will need her to be free to continue?

The names are the other way around aren't they? If you're right, the oldest is on socials with a mountain bike.
