Sounds to ME he may even be deluding himself into being convinced they had an affair! Or perhaps that she was strongly attracted to HIM. Sigh.. scary how the human psyche works.
What did I learn in psych 101? It's a struggle between the ID and the EGO? OMG this man is all EGO!!!

In my opinion he sounds like a stalker, how could they have had a close relationship when she couldn't stand him???

I'm so glad Susan told a lot of people what he did. I hope she has written it down and the LE have it because dad and josh clearly believe anything she writes in the journals are the truth and I pray that she has one that can be used against them some day. I really think dad is involved up to his eyeballs in her disappearence!

BBM above, I basicly live in the same kind of area as where Susan went missing, heck I am backed up to the desert and yes it gets chilly in the evenings in the summer, and it is freezing literally in the winter. We had mostly single digits all winter.

Powell and his father Steve have released copies of Susan Powell's alleged journal entries to the media.

Steve Powell tells ABC 4 News they are releasing them to refute Chuck Cox's claim that Susan was not suicidal..

The entries are not recent and were supposedly written by Susan when she was a young teenager.

In one alleged entry, Josh Powell claims that Susan had written she had "taken 10 Ibuprofen," but then later admitted that she "wasn't trying to kill herself." The Powells believe the alleged journal entries from Susan's young life show that she was a troubled and even sexually motivated woman,who could have easily run off with another man in December of 2009.
"It is imminently clear that Susan led a double life, from the time she was 13, 14, or possibly even 12," says Steve Powell.

This just shows you how sick Steve and Josh are. Who in their right mind would claim to love someone and then put this out there from her teenage years, even to so called "throw suspison" off of them. They are so messed up they can't even see how bad this makes THEM look.

I've had to play catch-up on some of the latest developments in the case since the search took place last week. Some of this surfacing information about Susan's father-in-law is very disturbing.

One of the reasons that I backed away from following this case closely was that I found Josh Powell to be a loathsome figure whose arrogance, cockiness, and coldness rubbed me the wrong way. It's difficult to remain objective and open-minded about a case when I'm so strongly against one of the major players. I'm inclined now to believe that father and son might have schemed together to get Susan out of their lives.

Those poor little boys probably miss their mom terribly, and I fear that their minds are being poisoned by the Alpha team who are now caring for them. jmo

Temple garments to a Mormon are more personal and more valuable and have more meaning than a wedding ring. So how does he explain the temple garments?

This mentally ill unstable woman gave them to him, and instead of turning them over to her husband/his son, he put them away for safe keeping????? Riiiigggghhhht!!!!

Or is this just another crazy person making up stories about him???? He seems to have a lot of crazy people in his life. LOL you know how to tell if you are crazy? When everyone else you know seems crazy and you are the only person who knows what is really going on.

I wish LE could get a warrant to get into that closet. If he runs true to type and if he had anything to do with her disposal, there will be a suvenior (sp) of her death/ burial site in that closet.

From what I know of the LDS church (my uncle was bishop, my LDS friends and relatives), sacred garments are never just thrown "in the laundry" and are washed under special rules.

I still don't know what good these "friends" of Susan are doing, by now saying he took her . Really? The quote isn't "his " -- it's all a string of "her" stuff.

Are those details being reported by any legitimate (mainstream) media source?
I find it horrendous that someone is constantly spreading the more salacious rumors and statements, just for clicks.

All this is doing, is giving the Powells even more ammo to defend Josh with. If he's charged, you can bet that those friends will be hauled up to testify for the defense ... about "her ". They've made public statements. They're locked in now. :banghead:

In watching the video, I see that each friend made a separate statement.
That's also troublesome for this reason: each of those friends can now be asked if Susan said that statement directly to them.
If they have to say "No, I heard it from ....." they've just helped the defense.

Wait, I thought it was Steven's , he put her garments with his . Am I wrong?
And even though I really don't want to get into this, in the value of misinformation, there is no "special" way to wash garments. I believe the only thing I was ever told was to not leave them laying around on the floor.

I think Steve Powell is just a perpetual liar. I've seen men deny making any sexual advances to a woman and saying it was all coming from "her" --- only to have either witnesses or a video catch them in the act of just the thing they swore they didn't do.

We already know he has the character of a sewer rat (not to insult rats). And one thing I thought strange -- I just remember reading about the wet spot on the carpet, and just read the other day that SP said it was a "red stain that was probably from juice or something". How the hell does he know it was a red stain?? Was that in the news? I don't remember it anywhere.

This is the post that has the info in it. It is Steve's and he got the garments out of the dirty laundry, that's where mine are and then they get separated into the whites....I don't see anything that is smearing Susan at all.

ETA: I think that last statement was poorly worded, in further review it looks like she is saying it's hers by including it with the pictures and journals but I believe it means that stuff was put where the already was.
