Well, maybe if they are draining from the top water, the heavier objects will stay near the bottom and the water gushing will be just water. Like an aquarium. Just a thought.

Plus with your thought in mind, surely the pipes would clog up, be hindered if something of significant size tries to flow through the running hoses. I'm with SS, they probably have a screen on the intake/outtake at the beginning, so as to not allow it to go further down the hose causing damage. So in other words, think of it this way visually. THe hose picking up the evidence versus a hand or hand held tool or devise to retrieve it from the lake bed floor. No difference, probably just as safe to dis-lodge an item from the floor with air pressure force versus a gloved hand or tool. Am I making any sense? Anybody?

Yup, I think it's standard procedure. I really hope they do recover her body and finally put her poor soul to rest. I haven't been majorly following this case, but I'm tired of the stalling from the involved parties.

which is why it's extremel important to post responsibly. The face of ws has always been reputable and one of the best sources on the net for breaking news on search and rescue before you can get it in the public media. Kudos to ws and it's members. Hopin our great sleuthers return, together we can figure this out. Alone, well then we're lonely hehehehehe

Sariebelle, hope that changes and you remain with us throughout the investigation and we together see Haleigh returned to those who love her. One way or the other. Glad you are here now. Do you bake chocolate cakes?

pretty sure there are screens at the front and back end. remember when the pond in aruba was drained during the holloway case, greta had a segment on how the equipment worked.

I also noticed the water being drained from the pond just gushing out the other end of the hose into a gully...why would they not have a netting or screen on the end of the hose to catch any bones etc. If she's there her remains are bound to be scattered all over the place by now, wouldn't ya think.

You'd think....unless they know she is IN something :(

So why would Hardy think people would believe a word he says now? His credibility tanked with the training exercise fabrication. Hardy>> :croc: << John Q. Public

I don't believe a damn thing PCSO says and haven't for a long time. They fumbled this case from the beginning. I could go on and on about things they have done wrong and still continue to do as of yesterday, but I will save it for another time and when I can speak of those things.. :furious:

Off Topic: 10-layer chocolate cake?! I am in! (Grabbing a fork and ice cream)

On Topic: It was just posted in the RT that WBG's house is right around the corner from what is presumed to be the search site on Stokes Landing Road...not sure it is accurate information...but it is interesting. Could explain the pot plants.

Oddly enough, I just baked double chocolate cupcakes for a friend's b-day. Uncanny ability of websleuthers to know news before it is newsworthy!

I was just wondering if the pot and this case could possibly be connected in some way?? Thats a lot of pot plants.

Off Topic: Funny you should mention cupcakes as I restocked my supply of chocolate with the cream filling and squiggles on top. ;) Now I feel bad for not actually baking something, but I did make coffee for everyone.

I've got two sick babies and a busy day ahead of me, but I wanted everyone to know I'm checking in and keeping my fingers crossed with you all that HaLeigh is finally found.

Edited to add... You people are making me really hungry talking about cake and cupcakes!!

I hope your babies feel much better soon~ We will hold down the fort and keep things going here so you just worry about your little ones. Bless their hearts.

ETA: One thing WSers do very well when waiting is to talk food! It is like being on a stake out with a bunch of Chefs around here.

So, what do we think, 2-3 days to drain a 5 acre pond? I personally have no idea how long something like that would take.
