Something about them doesn't sit right with me either, but I was under the impression that they were concerned when they learned he'd died. I'd have to go through those radio talk shows to get all that information again, though.
But, as I said in my response above, they stated that they called his webmaster, and they got the website password. They stated that they guessed it could be his email password and they were right in that guess.
Sky, in her interviews, made it sound like it got to the point where he was keeping it from her and Chris, and I suspect it was because they were so hard on him about it. I don't think Jodi was a "dirty little secret" from anyone but Chris, Sky and maybe Deanna--and this wasn't until after these three probably berated him about it too much.
This DLS (notice how close that is to LDS) business was a fabrication. Go back through what all his friends say and you'll notice that A LOT of frigging people knew about these two. Whether they knew all the sexual stuff, well, like JM said, who tells all their sexual business to each person they know?
Sky and Chris knew. They'd allowed the girl to have "her room" at their house.
Dan and his sister knew. Even went on trips with them.
Lisa knew. She'd seen Jodi over at Travis' house hanging on him even before she dated Travis.
Travis' friends saw them together at convention. She was the "blonde thing" in his lap while all his friends were around him and he was storytelling.
She was running around taking pictures in the background while he was dancing at some church event. His roommates knew about it.
I think if there was a time for her to become a DLS, it was after the tire slashing and people were warning him to leave that girl alone. He tried, but he couldn't. He was controlled by the sex.
I remember Jodi testifying that he'd dropped her off down the street while he picked up Naps so Deanna wouldn't know that he and Jodi had gone to the March 2008 PPL conference together. That makes sense--if it's true--because she'd vandalized his property. I'm sure Deanna would have lit her a new one if she'd seen her. She also testified that they had to explain to people why they were sitting together at that conference. Yeah, because people people knew of things she'd done.
Jodi was going crazy. Her mother said it. I gleaned from her mother's police interview that Matt had called her mom and told her to get Jodi some help, and that's how the idea of Jodi moving home came about. You can imagine that Jodi did kick her mom and send her mom back to Yreka if her mom was trying to force her to go back to Yreka. Anyway, I'm getting way off topic.
