Post Verdict -Working Out The Unresolved Questions

Geevee,

You've been notably silent today. What's up? I was interested in your opinions about this dating timeline. You know I've been all over that. It's been my goal to figure out if this relationship was anything at all or even near what was portrayed.

You're right. I agree that "official" for Jodi wasn't necessarily official for the guy. ALV said something on the stand which indicated that when she described Jodi and Travis, but now I can't remember her exact words. However, ALV had relayed the commitment in vague terms. I wish I could remember exactly what she said. Oh, and you can tell Jodi lives in an alternate world by the statement she made about her car getting repoed. She said "Oh, I gave it back to the bank."

And I took me listening to the testimony at least a half dozen times to hear that about her being in Big Sur in the summer of 2007. I'm trying to remember when Darryl said they lost the house because she had to be living somewhere after she "gave" the house back to the bank.

I haven't read the rest of the posts so maybe you found this but about their house:

Bought in 6/05, DB was unemployed, she was working 2 jobs (Calif Pizza and somewhere else I can't read in my notes lol), he became employed 2 1/2 months after buying the house, lived in house until 12/06.

BBM ~ Did she shoot him second? :seeya:

IN my mind, I can picture her shooting him first, then he tried to get a hold of the gun. (As much as many experts and medical community believe that a gunshot through the head would incapacitate someone); would it? What if the bullet totally bypassed the brain? The body was already decomposing and Dr. Horn testified the brain matter was mush. Then Wilmott went off on the definition of "mush"..

Considering where the bullet travelled and ended up, I don't believe he would have been able to speak any words to her (at least none she could understand) if he'd been shot first. It broke the bone at the bridge of his nose and ended up in his cheek, he would have been hemmoraging at both nose and mouth. I'm sorta surprised Juan didn't have Horn explain that to the jury (or if he did, I totally missed that part).

How in the clouds do these two get a $350,000 mortgage?

No, I didn't look it up yet, but I was looking for the date Darryl said he actually lost the house. Because I believe he was trying to pay on it after he left.

Adding to this timeline:

Sept 2006
MGM grand
Hughes House
Starbucks near her and Darryl's house

October 2006
Aranberg

November 2006
Baptism

January (don't know date) 2007
Travis and Dan freeman show up at her house. (Guess Darryl was gone?)

January 7, 2007--her email asking to define relationship.
End of Jan 2007--Jodi launched Skye and Chris into it, and Travis says he'd only seen Jodi 5 or so times, and he was still trying to get to know if he wanted her as a GF.

Newly added:

February 18, 2007--Email supposedly written to Abe and forwarded to Travis, where she tells Abe that Travis isn't her boyfriend and they are not in a committed relationship, but she still needs to break it off with Abe because of her feelings for Travis.

May 2007--ALV skips to the sleepy-time vaginal sex.

So if that was indeed written February 18, 2007, then there was no "official" on February 2, 2007. jmo.

I've been downstairs (in the parking lot) reading, I even forgot about the hearing yesterday until it was well over. :blushing:

I didn't pay a great deal of attention to the testimony of their dating although I was very intrigued by your findings about them only seeing each other 5 times in that time span. It didn't occur before but really, exclusive gf/bf when she always lived out of state? And then when she moved to Mesa, no exclusivity? That never made any sense.

I think Feb. or March of '07 but I don't have that written down so my memory may be faulty on that, but it seems right. He said in an interview that she had several thousand (12 or 14) in the bank, that's probably how they qualified and it was still during the time of 'creative' mortgages so who knows what qualifications they had back then, if any.

Good work, I tend to doubt there ever was any 'official' relationship. And just 4 days after he supposedly gave her the Valentine's Day gifts she tells Abe they aren't gf/bf? hah

One of these days I'll probably have to watch all of ALV's testimony, most of the time I turned the volume down, the tone of her voice (as well as her general POV) just grated on me so I couldn't bear to listen to it all.

Yeah, I was the same way. And I fell asleep on her half the time when the trial was going on. Her voice is actually lulling to me, but then Willmott's harsh voice interjects, grating my nerves.

But ALV says it's all about "context, Mr. Martinez..." so I'm trying to get that context, and I'm coming up with Travis was not trying to make her his "woman" but she was bound and determined.

What's also interesting in terms of context are her "kiss off emails," as I like to term them. She likes to write these emails to her men after she thinks it's over. I recall that she wrote one to TA (regarding editing credit), one to Abe (because she's so in love with her nonboyfriend), one to Matt or/bobby if I recall correctly. I think she details these more in regard to the juror question of how each of her relationships broke off. One of the common threads was the long email.

JA certainly loved her soliloquies, didn't she? No one could interrupt or challenge her stream of thought or conclusions, and she kept the upper hand, even if they guy being written to was long done with her, if he even cared to start with (like Abe).

I don't exceed 600 pixel wide size.

I use devices with screens and monitors ranging from 3.5" to 37" in width.

The site should be self-limiting via auto-sizing.

Who's to say that 600 pixels doesn't 'blow' someone's iPhone margins?

This image is 600 pixels wide:

This image is 400 pixels wide:

This image is 700 pixels wide:

So, who gets to say whose margins are 'blown'?

If you poll guests and members, their viewing and usage experiences will vary based on their display resolutions, monitor/screen sizes, window size/shape preferences, and so forth.

Someone technical at websleuths.com needs to make the call and self-limit the site.

I'd recommend at least a bi-modal approach for starters: one for mobile (phone/tablet) and another for all others (laptop, desktop, smart TV, etc.).

But there is no reason that the site shouldn't auto-detect browser type and screen resolution, then serve up pages for best viewing and usage experience.

Back then, getting a mortgage was extremely easy. If you were living and breathing, you could purchase a house with no down payment ($0 down) and at very low initial interest rate. No job, No decent credit score, no past income, no money in bank were Ok. Hence the 2008 housing and credit bubble burst took place. A lot of irresponsible people including Darryl and Jodi lost their houses to foreclosure starting in 2008 on.

True; sub-prime bubble was still expanding.

I try to play it extra safe with images, I find 600 is large enough to convey the image but won't expand page margins on most message board systems, 750 might be alright as well, but it's usually not necessary. In my own opinion, anyhow. :)

I don't know how thick his walls were. Jodi claimed they were thin--at least on the inside. I live in townhomes that are connected to each other, and when my neighbor blasts music, I can only hear it if I go outside. It's muffled then, and I can't hear it once I get about I'd say 10 or 15 feet down the driveway. Same for my own music. I REALLY blast mine, and my neighbors have never asked me to turn it down. The only time I can hear my neighbors is when we each happen to be in our basements.

Oh, but if she had music on, I'm thinking "You oughta know!" by Alanis.

That's something I never thought of--whether music was on. If she had music on, Travis didn't seem to indicate it had put him in a posing mood from the looks of those pictures.

You're right about that, I think, but that doesn't mean Jodi knew it or accepted it. Anal sex, vaginal sex, oral sex, candy sex, etc are big no-no's, too, but she talked him into it.

It's like I was saying about his friend who'd videoed Jodi laying in his lap and had the picture of Jodi in a robe outside of a hotel room and Travis behind her, kissing her on the back of the head. Those images create the idea that those two were having sex or at least putting themselves in tempting situations, things also disallowed in the church but recorded in video and pictures.

I believe those were done in the summer of 2007, which to me indicates that Travis might not have been as concerned about how things looked as Jodi tries to make us believe.

Yeah, she cleaned the house. I don't know about "housekeeper," but she cleaned it. that's how she claimed to see Travis' nonexistent gun.

BBM ~ That's exactly what I thought too as I was writing that post. :seeya:

I also believe that Travis was accepting of Jodi and backed her up back in the Summer of '07. Then he started seeing her true colors and witnessed her manipulative tactics. Then he hid it from everyone, just for Jodi to reel him back in with the kinky sex.

If you are keeping track of the sexual rendezvous', are you including the almost 2 hour long sex recording? How many other times have they had phone sex?

I still believe that 45 minute or so phone call they had before she left Yreka (Jun3) was a phone sex call. moo

I don' think Travis had much sex up until Jodi. She opened up new doors for him, kinda like some sort of tantric sex. He even said on the phone sex recording that he never masturbated as much as until he met her.

Which leads to the next question. What the phone sex recording planned? Did Jodi do it behind his back in an attempt to frame him with it?

I believe they planned this and were acting upon their fantasies.

Pre-2008 economic bust? I think Daryl make ok money and was Jodi's sugar daddy. She had no clue about how to handle finances and this was one of the things that Travis was upset about.
