PR interview

Imagine knowing that your daughter has been dead for hours...and then being forced to go and look at her. I agree with you....no wonder she had to be dragged.

yep,she just couldn't stand to see her like that again.

I also don't think she displays the right amount of shock, horror, and concern over hearing evidence of prior molestation.

You're about the 20th mom to tell me that. What a ko-inky-dink!

I just don't understand why PR never rushed to JB. Like you all here, I would have gone to my child, I wouldn't have thought about it, my body would have been in motion before my brain kicked in. Mothers just react like that! Probably fathers do as well, I have seen my husband move pretty darn quick when one of our girls have hurt themselves. There is NO excuse in the world for her not getting up, NONE!! Interesting how she explains it away though.

(I haven't seen this before it is from ACandyRose, sorry if you have discussed it somewhere else here, I am still trying to read everything I can)

COURIC: Patsy, when did you learn that John had found JonBenet?

Ms. RAMSEY: Well, at the--I was in--when I heard him scream, I was standing in the little den. And I just heard this blood-curdling scream. And, you know, I said, 'What, what is it?' And my friend made me--made me stay in that room. She said, 'Wait, don't--don't, just wait.' And I kept just struggling and finally, you know, went into the living room, and John was standing there with Linda Arndt. And--and I looked down and there she--she was lying there.

Someone made her stay put and was holding her back? I wonder who this someone was and if they were ever questioned about their version of events? I for one don't believe that little story. I am pretty sure there was some discussion about if JR screamed that morning somewhere on a thread here. In that interview she is saying that he did.

Toltec, the description that you gave about Fleet and Barbara was incredibly visual for me. Those poor people, I just cant imagine how how much that would have affected them. The more I read the more I am seeing how many people's lives were ruined. It is heartbreaking!

Just wanted to add, on page three of that transcript PR admits that she dyes JB's hair.

COURIC: Did you highlight her hair even? Or...

Ms. RAMSEY: Sure, yeah. I highlighted it gently to try to blend it a little bit. Yeah.

These people were, gee there is no one word for what I think!

A parents instinct is to jump off the couch and run like hades when a scream is heard. You're mind is on your missing baby and you are on alert at all times. She did not want to see JonBenet again but she knew that was part of the plan. She sat there for hours wondering what she would say when JonBenet was discovered...."Jesus you raised Lazarus, please raise my baby!"

The ransom letter pointed to employee/employees of AG...John had his speech ready..."It's an inside job"

The staging of the sexual assault and all that it entails is beyond the pale for me. It really is.

I have always found Patsy's behavior, when she heard John scream, "I found her"...and Fleet yell..."call and ambulance"...odd. Her friends have said that they had to PULL HER down the hall. Not that they were trying to hold her back. Funny how Patsy's story didn't jive with her friends.

I have been reading Patsy's interview and noted that when asked about the red sweater in the bathroom, she broke down and cried. Patsy said that she had wanted JonBenet to wear it to the White's house for Christmas dinner. I believe I had read somewhere else that the red sweater caused friction between Patsy and JonBenet because Patsy wanted her and JonBenet to dress alike that evening and JonBenet refused to wear it. I wonder if the red sweater attributed toward the terrible event that followed that evening.

some think she cried over the crown in the photo,bc she starts to cry after seeing/saying 'a crown',but I have to wonder if the red shirt contributed to it.It couldn't have helped.

The theory that the "stun gun" marks were made by a crown is also a possible reason for Patsy breaking down when seeing one...but knowing Patsy's penchant for pageants, she probably started crying at the sight of the crown because it reminded her her days as a pageant mom were over.

I think anyone would have cried looking at the shirt and the crown. But Thomas believes the shirt had something to do with the death. He believes Patsy was having a hard day from the morning and he shows the picture of Patsy holding JonBenet by the arm - he sees it as controlling her and he is emphatic about it.

I think the turtle neck was involved somehow if only because it was thrown in a ball. Maybe Patsy pout it on her and she took it off and threw it on the floor in a ball. Or Patsy pulled it off her and threw it in a ball on the floor. Either way, it is sad.

I know, and I've only seen pics where that part's been cut out, does anybody know if the full photo can be found somewhere online,or is that evidence being held back? I remember him saying she was holding tightly onto JB's arm Christmas morning in the photo. One has to wonder why a video of that morning likely disappeared as well.

it sounds like it has evidence on it,like where the collar was stretched and twisted when she was manually strangled..which is in one of the reports in ST's book.bc it is thought the abrasions were left at the time she was strangled with the shirt collar.

The only things I remember seeing about the red turtleneck was PR saying in an interview that she had argued with JBR over wearing it, with PR wanting her to match the red shirt/ black velvet pants she was wearing herself, and JBR refusing. She agreed to the black pants but insisted on the white sequined shirt. Now remember this is PR saying JBR wore the white shirt she was found in to the White's. ST says she did indeed wear the red shirt, and though the photos have never been made public, ST saw them, so that is why he says that. The red turtle neck was found soaking in a sink outside JBR's room. This is not to be confused with the red JUMPSUIT which was seen on an ironing board, and which PR mentions as a "little Christmas thing" JBR wore to perform at a Mall with some of her "pagaent girls".
If she was indeed wearing the red shirt at the White's, obviously PR said she wore the white one to back up her statement that JBR was put to bed still asleep and PR only removed her black pants and pulled on the long johns.

If you notice though, every single picture that is shown to Patsy of something that belonged to JB...her Easter basket, her hairbows, her trophys, etc...Patsy doesn't break down. BUT, she "breaks down" and starts to "cry" when shown the picture of the red turtleneck, and the crown. Now, she is shown pictures of OTHER crowns and doesn't cry. If you read the interview...you will also notice that after Patsy starts to cry, the interviewer takes a break, BUT when they return from the break, no other mention of that picture of the crown and the turtleneck, is made. The interviewer starts asking her about something entirely different, about a Christmas card that she had received. IMO...her "breaking down" and "crying" was all just a ruse. I don't believe that she meant it all all....I really, REALLY believe that the red turtleneck had something to do with JB's murder...I believe that she was wearing it, when she was thrown onto the side of the tub, and that Patsy's theatrics (crying) was done so that the interview would stop. She didn't KNOW that it would stop, but she HOPED that it would...and her little ruse worked. WHY didn't the interviewer question her more about the crown and that turtleneck. WHY didn't he say, after they returned from the little break...."Now Patsy, before we took the break, I was showing you a picture of JB's red turtleneck and a crown, and you started to cry. Now, why is that? What is the significance? " BUT NOOOOOOO...he moves along to something else entirely. IMO...her crying spell, was nothing more than her trying to stall the questioning about that red turtleneck.

LOL...yeah...that sounds more LIKE it.

As I have stated in an earlier post, I believe that her crying was a stalling tactic, used to stall the questioning about the red turtleneck. Why would she cry over that particular crown. She had been shown other pictures of JB's trophies and Crowns, and didn't cry over those? I think that it was just a ruse. They went entirely to lightly on her. I watched a show about a murderer that finally confessed, and the guy that interviewed him, said that the key was not to lighten up on the suspect. If they start to break down, KEEP THE QUESTIONS COMING...don't stop and take a break. He said that when they start to break down, that's when they are ready to confess. In other words...you DON'T say..."Oh, I am sorry Patsy...did that upset you? Well, we can't have that, now can we? Why don't we just take a break now?" That gives the suspect time to compose themself.

Wasn't that picture taken on Christmas? It was the last one of Patsy and JB, right? I remember seeing the last picture of those two together, and I noticed that grip on JB's arm, too. I thought that I was the only person that caught that, I didn't know that Thomas caught it too.

I have actually seen the whole picture, but I can't remember where, its been awhile back...it seems like someone posted it on FFJ. I will keep checking, and see if I can find it again. It's just a picture of Patsy with her holding JB's arm....it looked to me like she was trying to get her to stay still, or something. Almost like...maybe JB didn't want her picture taken, and was trying to move away...and Patsy, grabbed her arm and through gritted teeth, said "Hold still, you are going to have this picture taken with me whether you like it or not..." IMO Like I said, I will keep searching...it IS on the internet SOMEWHERE, unless it has been removed, which I doubt.

One of the more frustrating things about reading the LE interviews with PR is that SO many breaks are taken just at the point where the interviewer is zeroing in on a specific topic. Then there is a break (usually called for by Team R) and then when questioning resumes, it's on another topic completely. They never come back to the original point.

Exactly. As I have stated in one of my post before...I watched a true crime show on tv, I believe it was on Court TV....anyway, the investigator said that the key to getting a confession from someone, is to NOT take breaks, when they start to break down. Keep going...he said...and eventually they will confess. But in the Ramsey's case...Patsy sheds one tear..and the interviewer takes a break. And on top of that in both John's interview and Patsy's...the interviewer keeps asking.."are you doing okay?" "I know this is tough, are you doing alright?" "Do we need to take a break?" Of COURSE they are going to say yes....to collect their untruthful thoughts.

on that note,I have to wonder if PR usually had JB take off her jewelry b/f going to bed, since she was found with it still on.l would think she would have at least removed the necklace so that it didn't get caught in her hair while sleeping. If yes, then it seems JB never made it to bed that night.
