Kimster I was going to message you the other day because I noticed the media reports like little things have been a a cluster F of wrong. I seriously was but I didn't because it's MSM what else could you allow. Lol. I just noticed like little reports being wrong. Like that one that said the height and hair color matching Hailey's the day I called Nancy Grace show being completely wrong. I don't know if anyone else noticed that either like little things in the media articles being wrong.

A true WTF moment. Don't even know where to begin trying to figure out how they could have been so mistaken, and loose lipped about it to boot!!!

I remember the worker who found the remains said the hand looked like it could be that of a young child.

Is there a missing young boy from that area?

My heart is breaking for whoever has been found and their family unless one of their family members had something to do with it.

Someone almost got away with murder.

That was the first thought I had too, once I picked my jaw up off the floor and regained my composure. A hand small enough to look likes a child's hand, yet not female...must be a younger boy and not a full grown man.

So what male children or young men are missing from that area?

we all were hoping the time had come for Hailey to be laid to rest with dignity & someone would have to pay for her disappearance... such disappointment.... I think the search should be closer to the Adkins families property

I'm not shocked, coincidences happen every day, but it is surprising.

I hope the Tarrant County ME has gotten it right. I don't know how definitive these skeletal gender determinations are but my guess is that it depends on the condition of the skeleton (and how well it can be reconstructed) and on how far through puberty the deceased was (that's when skeletal differences between males and females become more pronounced). If there's any doubt I hope they get a second opinion. Eventually the DNA evidence will probably tell the tale for sure but it needs to be correct at this time also.

Obviously I hope whoever it is can be identified.

The supposed long hair, proximity to Shawn's family residence, and maybe even fabric that appeared to match Hailey's dark sweatpants or some other article of clothing that she was reportedly wearing...I guess I can't really fault authorities for jumping the gun but I'm sure those involved have learned a lesson from this.

Big Spring Police Sgt. Tony Everett said Friday that more information will be released as the autopsy continues.

Another good lesson for all of us to remember.

Until something is officially announced we can't assume anything.Couple of things. Is it possible the police floated this rumor to see how Billie and Shawn would act when they heard the news?

OR

Did someone in the police department simply jump the gun.

If I remember correctly the news articles quoted law enforcement sources right?

Of course law enforcement sources does not always mean police. Could be an administrative assistant's assistant or a guard on duty at night or cleaning person right? Could be anybody when the media is reporting a "source."

i've learned even IF something is officially announced by LE we can't always count on the information as being the TRUTH...JMHO

I know what Nancy Grace would say - they should have been able to tell with a preliminary glance at the pelvis whether this was a boy or girl.
