Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to marry in the spring

Markle, coming from such a disunited, non-functioning family, already divorced once, made poor choice in first spouse,

and having her friends hint at maybe wanting and dreaming of being a princess- does not bode well for the success

of this union. After the relationship honeymoon phase and they get down to the business of forming a long term bond,

and when their warts and bad habits come to light, then we may see if this will last. I predict no, it will not.

Here's the schedule for the royal wedding on Saturday, May 19, 2018:

Wedding ceremony at noon. Bride and groom will ride in a carriage at 1:00PM.

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/lifestyle/showbiz/timetable-harry-meghan-royal-wedding-14278583

I wondered how early I'd have to get up to watch the wedding festivities :D

Not long now! I'll be watching hopefully, just hope the weather plays ball. In recent years in the UK on the whole we've had lovely springs and then the usual disastrous summer. Fingers crossed this May will be the same.

Apparently the Spencers have all been invited so is making me wonder if the Spencer tiara will make an appearance. Although it doesn't have a great track record of happy marriages recently and might maybe be a bit large and too girly for Meghan. Wish she wasn't doing the usual re-wedding starve diet, she is looking too thin recently.

Am watching out for credible dress rumours, I think because she's an ex-actress, like Grace Kelly, she might go for sleeves and chaste neckline although I think a more romantic style would suit her. And there will be another evening white wedding dress as per Kate, I think.

I just want to see a stairlift installed for those steps at the chapel. Phillip, 96, recently out of hip surgery and the Queen, now 92 (although seen horseriding the other day!). I will also be watching out for Princess Anne's outfit, they can usually be traced back to 1972. Why buy new?

Was thinking the other day how much better it would be if Anne was the next Queen rather than Charles and Camilla. The British monarchy may now have to survive the reign of three kings at least, Charles, William and George. IMO the most outstanding monarchs of recentish times have been female, Elizabeth I, Victoria and Elizabeth II. Queen Anne is still under-rated and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was a huge asset to George VI.
And look at Charlotte outside the Lindo Wing, she already has it down at 2 years old, reminds me so much of the Queen as a little girl.

4 Tiaras Meghan Markle Could Wear on Her Wedding Day
Plus one she definitely won't be.

Perhaps even more so than her dress, the tiara Meghan Markle wears on her wedding day (if she chooses to wear one at all) will make a statement about not only her style, but also her position within the royal family.

Here are a few tiaras we'd like to see top her hair come May 19...

Royal wedding mania means big bucks for media companies
Royal weddings, with their pomp and splendor, only come along every so often, and media companies are making sure they rake in every last dollar available.

When Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle tie the knot on May 19, they’ll be live on news networks across the globe and plastered across the covers of special magazine issues.

As their wedding looms closer, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared new details for their big day - the all important Best Man.

And it's no surprise to hear the groom-to-be has asked his brother Prince William to take on the role, just as he stood by the Duke of Cambridge during his 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton.

Oh my!
Strange detail we all missed in Duchess of Cambridge’s birth reveal dress

America's 2nd 'princess': Meghan Markle is modern Grace Kelly
Unlike Kelly, Markle won't officially be princess

By JUDITH VONBERG, CNN

LONDON (CNN) - When an American actress marries a prince, the world watches. And Meghan Markle, who is soon to wed Britain's Prince Harry, is not the first.

On April 4, 1956, hundreds of journalists gathered at New York's waterfront to catch a glimpse of Grace Kelly as the Oscar-winning actress boarded the ocean liner that would take her to Europe -- and to the man she was engaged to marry, Rainier III, Prince of Monaco.

"It was the harbor's biggest shipside news conference in 30 years," writes Robert Lacey in his biography of Kelly. "The whole country was mesmerized."

The couple's fairy-tale wedding two weeks later was broadcast to over 30 million television viewers in Europe alone, according to Lacey...

Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Trimmed Their Wedding Guest List

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may still be collecting those final R.S.V.P.'s for their May 19 wedding; however, their headcount will be smaller than previous royal wedding guest totals.

Even though their venue, St. George's Chapel, holds about 800 people, a source tells E! News the future bride and groom have chosen to cut their headcount down to 600 guests. This seems to be due to an altered seating plan. The insider tells E! News the couple may spread out the chapel's pews or arrange them diagonally so guests can get a better view of the altar. The source also claims this seating plan will "look much better" when it comes to those top-down camera shots for people watching the televised event at home.

So, how will this smaller headcount affect who attends the big event? The source tells E! News couples with young children are likely to attend the wedding without them...

Okay - the wedding for me here will be at 2pm!! I get BBC - pretty sure they will be showing this!

So - BDE - if you are Eastern time - then it will show for you at 7am!!

I wish the Queen would have passed the reign to William.... :sigh:

Thanks Niner. 7 a.m. is a time I am up. If I recall correctly seems I was up around 5 a.m. for Charles and Di's Wedding.

While the actual wedding ceremony starts at noon (7:00AM our time), there will be at least an hour of media previews: commentary about the guest list, wedding party, dress, tiara, etc. Before the ceremony starts, we'll likely see guests arriving, wedding party arrival, etc. I'll get coffee ready the night before, warm some scones, and settle in to watch the royal event :)

IIRC, they have had two hours leading into the royal wedding talking about the dress Etc on many channels. And of course we want to see the Beckham's walk in and what they are wearing in addition to others, so you must tune in early!

Oh My! I went down a rabbit hole looking at YouTube's of Grace Kelly's wedding and engagement pictures! And guess what I found, the same color dress as Grace Kelly with Megan's engagement dress. It's not showing up very well in the screen capture. But so many Royals do nods to previous Royals, and this stood out.Screenshot_20180502-094615.jpg

ETA.. the one I did a screen cap looks like a sepia colorization, I will have to continue my investigation as to if it really was that same brownish color that she wore in the engagement photo with Harry

ETA#2... I just noticed he is smoking a cigarette in the photo

“Meghan Markle's estranged half-brother has shared a handwritten letter telling Prince Harry it's 'not too late' to cancel the wedding to his sister.

Elder sibling Thomas Markle Jr has warned the 33-year-old royal to ditch the May 19 union with the 'Suits' actress.

Mr Markle slammed the American star, insisting that 36-year-old Meghan is a 'jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage.'

The letter, shared with In Touch magazine reads: 'As more time passes to your royal wedding, it became very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history.'

'Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.

'I'm confused why you don't see the real Meghan that the whole world now sees.
'Meghan's attempt to act the part of a princess like a below C average Hollywood actress is getting old.'
