I wondered how early I'd have to get up to watch the wedding festivities
Not long now! I'll be watching hopefully, just hope the weather plays ball. In recent years in the UK on the whole we've had lovely springs and then the usual disastrous summer. Fingers crossed this May will be the same.
Apparently the Spencers have all been invited so is making me wonder if the Spencer tiara will make an appearance. Although it doesn't have a great track record of happy marriages recently and might maybe be a bit large and too girly for Meghan. Wish she wasn't doing the usual re-wedding starve diet, she is looking too thin recently.
Am watching out for credible dress rumours, I think because she's an ex-actress, like Grace Kelly, she might go for sleeves and chaste neckline although I think a more romantic style would suit her. And there will be another evening white wedding dress as per Kate, I think.
I just want to see a stairlift installed for those steps at the chapel. Phillip, 96, recently out of hip surgery and the Queen, now 92 (although seen horseriding the other day!). I will also be watching out for Princess Anne's outfit, they can usually be traced back to 1972. Why buy new?
Was thinking the other day how much better it would be if Anne was the next Queen rather than Charles and Camilla. The British monarchy may now have to survive the reign of three kings at least, Charles, William and George. IMO the most outstanding monarchs of recentish times have been female, Elizabeth I, Victoria and Elizabeth II. Queen Anne is still under-rated and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was a huge asset to George VI.
And look at Charlotte outside the Lindo Wing, she already has it down at 2 years old, reminds me so much of the Queen as a little girl.
