Wow I’m surprised how casually dressed some members of the public are considering they were going to be photographed and watched by millions.

Off topic:

Thank you to all of you for making this such an enjoyable thread and for taking my mind off things. I’m going into hospital for awful tests this week as I am still suffering from internal bleeding but they don’t know where from. I’m in for a miserable week in hospital but I look forward to being back with all of you when Websleuths has moved.

My heart goes out to you. Hope they figure out what's wrong with you. I keep getting sicker from the connective tissue disorder I have.

Wonder if they called each other “Your Grace” or Mr. & Mrs. Sussex last night lol...Meghan Sussex is nice.

From a royalty nerd:
They are actually styled “HRH” for His/Her Royal Highness. Hard to imagine them using that with each other on their wedding night. “ How about a kiss, Your Royal Highness?” Ordinary (!) non-royal dukes and duchesses are ‘your grace’ when spoken to.

I’m a member of Theroyalforums.com, and they have more information, gossip, and pictures if you are interested. And, like Websleuths, they are pleasantly well-moderated.

'Don't know how/why I stumbled upon this exchange involving Queen Letizia last month but it appears I might find "more to the story" at the link you shared. Thank you!

I’m sorry I don’t have a link, but Harry and Meghan are moving into KP and will be living in an apartment next door to Will and Kate. They plan to start a family and need more space.

Lilibet, this is what I was referring to in your above response to mine.

I find this fascinating for a few reasons.

ETA: according to what’s been reported this is where H&M have been living.

Kensington Palace, next to London's Hyde Park, is home to 15 high-ranking royals.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children share a grand 20-room apartment that spans four stores.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle live in a cottage on the palace grounds, which is where Harry proposed.

Princess Eugenie and her fiancé, Jack Brooksbank, recently moved in as well.

Six senior royals of the same generation of Queen Elizabeth II also have rooms there.

The queen and Prince Philip live in Buckingham Palace, about 2 miles away.

Significantly less grand is the two-bed cottage inhabited by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which will also be their marital home after they marry on May 19.

The cottage, nicknamed "Nott Cott" and often described as "snug," has been Harry's home since 2013.

Meghan moved in just after their engagement was made public in November 2017. Harry proposed to Meghan when they were spending an evening together at Nottingham Cottage, surprising her while they were roasting a chicken.

“Harry and Meghan are set to become William and Kate's neighbours at Kensington Palace after their wedding, and it seems that preparations started for the big move as early as last November.

As the world's media gathered on one side of Kensington Palace late last year for Harry and Meghan's engagement announcement, some rather more hands-on work was going on on the other side.

While all attention was on the happy couple, workers on the west side of the building were trying to hurriedly remove the gleaming white plastic covering in double quick time so as not to draw attention to renovations.

It’s amazing this photo of Meghan on a school trip to London 22 years ago. I bet she would never have imagined being a member of the royal family in her wildest dreams.

Thank you so much everyone for all your good wishes and kindness.

Man, what was Harry's face there! I know he is so nervous but geez! I think he is nervous out of his skin. I don't think he likes the pomp and circumstance of the wedding in general all around him.

Pink, which one are you referring to?

Where is this located in reference to the photo schematic? I’m trying to piece it together.

ETA: never mind I see it now, thanks for your Gloucester reference. It was reported they were paying 14K monthly rent. Maybe they are downsizing

Yes they are downsizing they are older in their 70s and their children are grown up. They volunteered to leave the apartment so the happy couple could move in.

Graham, I’m glad you waited until after the RW to be away from the thread; you have been able to graciously provide us with insight and missing facts. Thanks for your royal thread hospitality. We will be cheering you on.

“The wedding of an American princess proved to be a big hit with American viewers, with 17.5 million viewers tuning in to watch on the big three networks, eclipsing the 17 million who watched the ceremony in the UK.

Early numbers show that the big three broadcast networks and big three cable networks combined for a impressive 22.338 million viewers, a strong showing for the historic occasion.

And it was Today who pulled out the win, averaging 6.417 million viewers on Saturday, beating out Good Morning America with 6.348 million viewers and CBS This Morning with 4.786 million viewers.”

This is amazing given people had to get up so early. Thank you to everyone who tuned in around the world.

This is HILARIOUS!

During his speech, a source from within the party tells E! News thatPrince William said, "My brother is clearly in love. Being in love is like a little boy wetting himself. You don't know you are doing it, everyone else knows and you get a warm feeling."

During his speech, William joked, "With all this talk of love, everyone is emotional, even the cake is crying."

Charles, during his speech, shrugged his shoulders and said "the budget is out of the window on this one."

I can see Diana dancing the night away, and handing out peel off nose rings to everyone. I wonder if their first dance song was also a nod to Diana because she clearly longed to dance with somebody. Her love for dancing, music and burgers was ever-present. She is high-fiving her Harry for sure!

‘George Clooney danced with Meghan then Kate but Fergie turned him down: Exclusive details from party of the year’

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/meghan-markle-kate-middleton-both-12569421

Exclusive details about the reception. I would have loved to have seen George Clooney’s face whilst being turned down by Fergie.

Thanks for all the wonderful links,
Will be thinking of you <modsnip> and hoping the week goes by quickly and smoothly, meanwhile, you will be missed!

Thanks Greg!

I actually like the scarf in Bea's hair and her gorgeous hair worn down like that. I love the colour of Bea's dress.

About the only other positive thing I can say is that the girls don't have as much of the panda eyes look as at one of the earlier weddings (not sure if it was Will and Kate's or at Edward's)

Fergie has been in a lot of debt and has even sold goods on QVC. She lives with Prince Andrew and I would imagine he helps her out. Apparently they want to remarry but this can’t happen with Prince Philip still with us as he despises her.

I think the new Cartier bracelet may have been a gift from Harry to wear on her wedding day. The Royals normally loan jewellery from the Queen and the collection owned by the country. They don’t normally loan jewellery from brands like celebrities do as they are quite strict about that kind of thing.

I didn't know Fergie was living with Andrew! I don't like either of them but I think they're like Charles and Camilla--made for each other in a good way. And I respect how Fergie and Andrew managed friendly parenting of their daughters as a divorced couple.
