Prosecutors New Motion for Private Meeting w/Judge but w/out Defense #2

In the very beginning I had sympathy for both George and Cindy. The more I saw of Cindy's lying and her attacks on LE and the media, that sympathy turned to disgust. I saw George as a wimp, having to do and say what Cindy demanded, or be banished from her presence. It was that interview with Larry King, the day before Caylee's remains were found, that all sympathy for either of the Anthonys evaporated completely. George was no longer just a wimp, he was a willing partner in the deceit.

Both George and Cindy outright lied in that interview. For them, it was merely a PR campaign promoting Casey's innocence. They said whatever they thought necessary to deflect blame from Casey.

Some of the most obvious lies were George saying that the car smelled of garbage, when all along he told LE that it was the odor of a dead body in that car.

Cindy lied when she said that police looked at only one ZFG, didn't bother to investigate further, and arrested Casey. She made it sound like Casey was arrested on a whim. But, in reality, LE pulled up every drivers license in the Florida database and went through each individual who's name matched ZFG with Casey, and it was Casey that dismissed every one of them as "not the right one."

There were other lies, but those are two that stand out to me in that interview. As long as Caylee's remains weren't found, that PR campaign would continue.

Of course it all came to an abrupt halt the next day when Caylee's remains were found. George and Cindy knew that all they said in all their interviews were lies with a purpose - to protect Casey, but in reality they knew what happened. We know that they knew what happened to Caylee and where her remains were because of their lack of a reaction and indifference to Caylee's remains being discovered. While LE was digging Caylee's bones out of mud and debris, the Anthonys were dining on crab puffs at the Ritz.

I can almost imagine Cindy saying, "Well, the jig is up, what shall we have for dinner."

My thoughts exactly!!! Also noted is Cindy's lack of characteristic hysteria in calling for a posse to find the murderer after Caylee was found!!! Can you scoot over and make room for me on your bench?

this has been great reading, ya'll!

If you are referring to the Dec. 10th ('08) Larry King interview, then I wholeheartedly agree. George was SO UNCOMFORTABLE "reciting the party line" about Caylee being alive, the sightings, the smell in trunk was garbage, they have no evidence against our daughter, etc, etc. He could not make eye contact with Larry and make a lot of those "pursed lips/shoulder shrug/monkey-grin" faces. As Dr. Glass would say, his body had many "tells" about the lying. I *think* Cindy probably had a vise grip on his thigh under the table to help keep him in line. The very next morning......Caylee's remains are discovered on Suburban. It is a fascinating study in behavior to watch that interview. Can anyone link it for us, pretty please? I'm not adept at that! :)

LOL

Everything that woman involves herself in is a fascinating study! I love "the "pursed lips/shoulder shrug/monkey-grin" faces"- that's gooood!

I believe my opinion differs from most concerning George's willingness to lie to defend Casey. I believe George has been willing to lie and obstruct LE investigation from the very beginning. I base my belief on the fact that George drove Casey's car home from the tow yard rather than call LE. He worked in LE for 10 years, part of that time as a homicide investigator. This has been corroborated by the sheriff of the dept. where he worked who said he was a good officer and did his job well. With George's background, I cannot believe he did not know that he was tampering with a crime scene when he drove that car home. He knew what that smell was. He may not have known exactly who, what, or why, but he knew somebody had died - and he wanted to hide it.

I believe George would also have been aware of the serious consequences of lying to a grand jury so whatever truth he told there was probably to save his own skin. JMO, of course.

Amen! George has thrown himself under the bus!

Ohhhhhhh Thank you!!:woohoo:

I think I'm all out of theories...lol. I need more clues!!

While I believe it's probably connected to DC's search and the connections he can make to JB, I thought of one other possible area of interest.

Remember the picture of Caylee with the shirt on that was found with her at the site of the body? And we were all wondering if JB could be connected to brokering that picture that appeared in the Globe ~ I'm wondering if the investigators have made some discovery to indicate that JB was profiting by helping sell this picture.

That would get him removed from the case, too, wouldn't it?

But would that information be part of discovery in this case? Whatever this information and material is, it is discoverable and will eventually be turned over to the defense....SA just wants to DELAY turning over to Baez....

I think you're right, Kentjbkent. I forgot about the discoverable part. Sigh. . . :banghead:

Yeah...I about fell off my chair when I heard CA tell LK that KC was arrested b/c she lied about where she worked. Remember? Then there is the caller who asked her why she changed her mind about the smell in the car and her answer literally was "I changed my mind, I never changed my mind...what I stated was that the car smelled". Uh.....LIE. It's on tape CA!

Didn't she also at one point state that her PI (which I presume she meant DC) had found that everything that KC said was the truth? Was it at that press conference that DC was present at? I can't remember the where or when but I definitely remember it was said.

MOO

There have been times when I have really had to question myself for the deep hatred I have felt for Cindy and George since July 2008. I used to feel like an extremely terrible person but, I don't anymore.

I also had sympathy for them in the beginning. It lasted maybe two weeks. It may have been sooner but I know it was very soon after Caylee was reported missing.

Now I can't wait until they are charged with everything and anything. I'm convinced they have committed crimes in order to hurt the investigation into Caylee's murder in order to protect Casey.

I think one of the things that has bothered me the most out of anything having to do with Cindy and George is that they never used the endless media coverage they had before Caylee's remains were found to beg and plead for her safe return.

They had no problem screaming from the roof tops that Zanny did kidnap Caylee and Casey was innocent... but, no plea for Zanny to return Caylee?

Also, I don't remember what interview it was, but it was after Caylee's remains were found. When asked if she was looking for the murderer she said something like it wasn't her job... it was LE's job. Her main focus was getting the CMA Foundation off the ground because she had to focus on the positive.

I'm sorry, but what is so positive about your granddaughter being murdered? You're saying your daughter, whose in jail charged with the murder, didn't do it? Why would your mind even be on anything other than finding the person that killed your two-year-old granddaughter?

I could go on and on... but, they just make me so upset.

You are very perceptive and correct! Your mind would be on nothing else other than trying to find the murderer and seek justice for Caylee -- if you didn't already know that your daughter killed her.

You would NOT shrug this off as being LE's job, you'd be banging on LE's door demanding for them to search and providing them leads. Outrage is an appropriate emotion.

That's what has been so profound about CA and GA, there have been so many 'tells' that inform you they know KC did it that they have really done a subconscious job of further implicating KC.

The A's have spoken volumes with what they have NOT said about a SODDI murderer and seeking them as well as a total lack of support for the victim, Caylee. That's what kills me, that the A's see the victim as KC and are throwing their focus and support behind Princess KC, leaving Caylee with no voice -- as evidenced by the A's sitting on the Defense side in court, no family member ever sits on the Prosecution side seeking justice for Caylee.

So well said ... So true... and you really brought me back to the injustice being done to an innocent murdered 2 yr old little girl. Her name is Caylee. NOT "that kid" or "that child" as she's referred to by her family and the defense! Thanks for a great post!

My thoughts exactly and very well put.

In the jailhouse videos, CA asks KC what she would like to say to zanny, because she's in front of the cameras all the time. KC spouted off that BS about telling zanny that "we" forgive her, and to bring Caylee back. The A's hardly reiterated that message. I recall CA sorta mentioning it to the media once, but it wasn't even really those words, and CA hardly made a big deal about it. Why? Because they don't believe her and it couldn't be more blatant. They are such horrible liars and actors.
Even KC told her parents that kind of stuff wasn't being broadcast. That she loves her daughter, misses her, and wants her home. It was in the jail video where her "troat hurts and she could hardly schwallow".
Despite them proclaiming her innocence, their actions or lack thereof, not looking for the real killer, etc... suggests to me that the A's don't buy KC's crap anymore than we do. It's obvious.

I wont go on about why I despise the A's otherwise we'd be here all night and it would result with me being banned. But I did want to say that like you, I don't feel bad about loathing them anymore either. If they are not charged after all this.. I will be extremely outraged.

What surprises me is that it seems like no one has ever said to them "Hey, you know... it might be a good idea to act like you actually care about Caylee and ask for Zanny, or whoever you think the kidnappers are this week, to bring her home safe."

This is what bothers me... Casey and Cindy cry that Casey is just as much a victim as Caylee. Which shows that Casey was/is still competing with Caylee in death. Look no further than Tracy telling LE about how when people were showing off Caylee's baby pictures how Casey just had to go and get baby pictures of her and be like "Well, look at me. I was a cute baby too."

Listen to Casey's conversation with Cindy on the phone the day she was arrested... Casey was spitting nails that Cindy was getting all this media attention and looking like the good one while she was sitting in jail looking like the monster. Cindy's reply seemed very "In your face" when she said "Which one? I did four" and goes on to say she's only seen a few. Who talks about that when a two-year-old baby is missing. Why would Cindy even engage in that type of conversation when she has just found out her two year old grandbaby was missing? That exchange between them has always bothered me. It seemed to me that Cindy was still competing with Casey even though their concern should have been on Caylee.

I don't know about anyone else, but the first time I heard that exchange, I could actually 'hear' cindy smirk as she said that. If that makes any sense.
I was utterly disgusted by the entire conversation.

They've been competing since Caylee's birth and have continued to do so since her death. KC was livid when cindy had a memorial/circus for Caylee. She could care less what was done with Caylee's remains (obviously) but she protested it, as shown in her statement, because it was cindy's show. KC definitely didn't want CA to keep the remains and also made a point to say that she wished Caylee had a grave that SHE could visit... as if she was going to stroll out of jail after all this. Please

I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall in jail (as I'm sure there are many) when the A's went on that cruise. She probably cried for herself all day long. If she acted the way she did when everyone had chili without poor princess KC, can you just imagine the fit she threw when they took the cruise?

Now THAT is interesting :)

I thought it was interesting.
I guess defense wants to be in the loop and know what is going on.
I thought that there would have been a hearing by now since, from what I understand, if this is discoverable information it has to be released to defense within 15 days, or am I wrong?
