What does spamming the board mean? Does this mean by posting to much? Thank you

It means posting the same thing over and over. It's generally used to advertise or by someone with a personal agenda, but it can also cause two or more threads to start the same conversation, so this is how it reads in our rules:

Spamming & Cross Posting:

Spamming and Cross Posting is defined as posting the same information or content (full or partial) in two or more posts. We understand that some topics might fit into more than one forum or category but we ask that you please pick the best one and stick with it.

Yesterday, a friend and I drove around looking for interesting, old buildings to photograph. We came upon one old, abandoned house in a fairly remote area- no other structures nearby. We're very used to finding graffiti of a sexual nature, but what we found here was very disturbing.

I'd like to start a Thread to see what other members think about what we found. Is it ok to post pics with primitive 'dirty' drawings and language? Should I cover certain parts of the photos that might be offensive? If it's ok to post, should I put some kind of warning in the Thread title?

Obviously, for sleuthing purposes, the more information that's available, the more likely that clues will be discovered. Could you just let me know what types of photos are allowed? Thx!

Help mods,, I'm being redirected to the site bad oink directly from we sleuths to the apple
istore. This happened yesterday and today on two separate occasions. Are you being hacked!? Because it feels like this isn't a secure site, safari went on its own to sm linker 🤬🤬🤬🤬 site. For real. Please do not post photos like that on WS. It might be an idea to contact your local law enforcement though?

This is usually caused by some sort of hacker that is either in your web browser or your computer. I suggest contacting a computer professional.

That happened to my computer two years ago. After my computer tech cleaned out the problems from my laptap, he downloaded Avast and Malwarebytes for free. I haven't had any problems since.

We told the State Police when we got to the next (larger) town. The pics show clothing tacked and hung on a wall with comments written next to them- insinuating that their 'brother' or 'son' had sex with them.

What if I just took out the comments in photoshop? It's the actual display that is the most troubling. I've never come across anything like it. Or what about the Thread without any photos at all? Can I do that?

You are certainly welcome to start a thread about it in the Jury Room.

I'm having some issues with Tapatalk. All of a sudden in the past 20 minutes or so I've started recording push notifications to every post I've ever replied in. Basically if anyone responds to a post my phone alerts both in and out of the tapatalk app. I love me some websleuths but its a bit distracting.

I use tapatalk 99% of the time (can't recall the last time I used a PC to connect) so I'm sure I haven't changed my settings. I can't find a way to stop them! Any insight or help?

There is discussion about it here: Tap talk app update needed - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

I use Tapatalk2 and it's running fine so far. (Knock on wood!)

Hello I was hoping to get some advice/opinions in the recent death of my little sister, which is being ruled a suicide even though she spent the evening with her boyfriend, who is from a prominent family that has roots running deep in the county's history. Could someone point me in the right direction and give me some general advice about where/how to post a thread about this? Thanks in advance.

-Steve

Steve, this sounds very much like the Molly Young case, maybe you could take a look at her thread and see what has been done by the family in that case, as well as what the posters have contributed?

(Oops, I'm not actually a mod, sorry. Leaving the info in case it is of use.)

Not a mod either but one thing you will need is at least one MSM - mainstream media - link establishing facts about the case - or at least "facts" as things now appear to stand.

I'm having a very hard time finding that. Her name was Cassie Rocks and her body was found in Jefferson Texas on September 12th. I can't find anything online about it.

Me too. I see the obit and reprints in various places but, as the case may be sensitive in nature due to the cause of death being ruled a suicide, MSM reports may be hard to come by as many venues do not publish the victim's name in a case of that nature.

Hi all,

I'm glad I finally found this thread because I have a great idea for the site that would be an awesome addition and (Get this!) it's FREE!

Google Maps has a FREE app that can be added to any website.
It can be managed by the Site Owner in such a way that allows only certain members to add to or to edit the map. The Map can multiple have layers. Let's say, one layer for missing persons, one layer for UID's even layers for Registered sexual offenders.

Could you imagine a Map of the U.S. that lets you see all at one time, all of the locations of Missing Persons (one symbol) UID's another symbol and Registered Sex Offenders with another?

I've started trying to build a Google map of my own. It's free to anyone. But I can't do it all on my own. If I could, I would just build it and share it with the Site.

Please give it some thought.

~ Chuz

Is there a way I can just post the info I have and get a few opinions on whether or not it was a suicide or murder? All I'm asking for is a fresh perspective. I'm ok with the fact that this could possibly be a suicide, but the evidence and circumstances lead me to believe otherwise.

I was shocked at the similarities in the Molly Young case. My heart goes out to her family.

Hi Steve Campbell,

I'm not sure if a thread can be started on Cassie without either a case number from law enforcement or something in main stream media. I'm going to alert on your post so that Admin can look at your question and give us an answer.

Ima

Case number is IFS-13-15993-CC. This is Cass County Texas. She was my half sister technically(why we have different last names). Same mother, raised by the same dad(different fathers).
