(Kaine replies to email questions:

In response, he wrote: "Terri was a good person when we first met and for several years (I’d say up until 2008). She was always about children (teaching) and helping them grow and develop. Her attitude was always about those types of things first, her own self not even being a priority close to that. I believe that this is the Terri that everyone else saw and got to know as I did."

"Honestly everyone, including myself, that knew her or knows her did not see this coming. She was not the type of person we are seeing right now," added Kaine Horman.

????

Could this be Kaine just trying to cover his ----and make himself sound good, even though he had an afffair with Terri while Desiree was nearing the end of her pregnancy with Kyron?

I don't ask this as someone who suspects Kaine in any way of being involved with Kyron's disappearance...it just kind of sounds like someone trying to get out of responsibility for bringing Terri into the family circle. You know..."she was such a great person...anyone would have wanted/loved her...I can't help it that she had me fooled."

MarieFaith, just so we don't get the "elephant in the room" thread closed, this is supposed to be a list only thread. We have to take the discussion of the statements elsewhere. ( I think?) :)

A friend of Terri who wished to remain anonymous, told KOIN Local 6 Kyron Horman’s step-mother was caught off guard when she was served divorce papers as well as a restraining order from her husband and Kyron’s father, Kaine Horman.

“Terri didn’t know she was going to be hit with divorce papers or a restraining order,” the friend said.

The friend said Terri may consider talking publicly and airing her side of the story.

“She’s been doing what Kaine said all along and he’s been telling her to stay quiet. The public will benefit from hearing what she has to say.”

Reporter: Also, in an unusual move, they put out this flier to anyone associated with Kyron's school. They put Terri's pictures and pictures of the white truck on it. What was your reaction when that happened? What was Terri's reaction?

Kaine Horman: I can't speak to Terri's reaction, but my reaction to it -- photos of the things that were last seen associated with him that day.

Kaine's comments have always confounded me, as if he is very defensive about Kyron's life before going missing. I'll paraphrase a few:

"Kyron is being actively worked with about listening"

"Terri wanted me to send him to his room when he didn't get a good school report" I ask, was he or not sent to his room?

"Terri was not overly violent" This is the most shocking IMO

"Terri's drinking was under control since the DWI" no longer as issue, then later;
"friends noticed depleted alcohol after our visits"

And, the discounting of Desiree about her red flags and Kryon sobbing, not wanting to go home, and wanting to stay with Desiree.

Dede about her time with Terri at the Horman house after Kaine left: "Any conversations that we wanted to have, we'd go out into the yard. When we were in the house, we'd talk about the kids, we'd talk about her marriage, talked about her family."

Teri said Kyron was having/or possibly having seizures? It would be interesting to know why she said that What made her think that and not Kaine ??? As someone who had had seizures for months prior to having found a brain tumor I had, you would have thought I had migraines...until I had a full Gand Mal and was traveling on I40- thru memphis on both north and south bound lanes...until a nice person pulled their vehicle up to me to hit it to stop...kinda o/t...but seizures...unless you know what type of disorder it is, it would be hard to determine if one had seizures or not...medical professionals, please weigh in here....

"We had two odd sightings of a vehicle on our road Friday," Kelley said. Around 3 p.m., he and a neighbor reported seeing a white pick-up truck with a female driver pull to the end of the long road, idle and then turn around. Then again at 2 a.m. Saturday morning, a similar white pickup truck appeared, idled and when a neighbor loosed her dogs, eased away.

"A, it was strange to have a car there, any car there, that we didn't know, and B, it was strange to have a vehicle come down our dead-end road twice in the same day, hours after a little boy goes missing," said Kelley. "That's beyond rare."

Sheriff Staton: When we had our conversations in the past we were talking about a case that we had no knowledge of.

"This is a decision we made last Friday...." sheriff Staton, Sept 15 presser.

They definitely had time to discuss it with Kyron's parents, then.
