KATE SNOW: There had been no indication in your marriage –

KAINE HORMAN: No.

KATE SNOW: – that things were that bad or that she was upset with you?

KAINE HORMAN: No.

snip

KAINE HORMAN: Nothing so far one way or the other that would have even put that on my radar screen as something to worry about.

Zimmerman said everyone went into their classroom for the science fair and broke into parent-led groups of four or five. She wasn’t sure what group Kyron was in. but she said the last time she saw him was at 8:15, when the groups began going from class to class.

"He walked by the hallway and I'm like, 'Hi, Kyron,' and he's like, 'Hi. I'm going to go see this cool one. It's electric.' I'm like, 'Alright, bye.' And that's the last time I saw him," TP said. "He never did make it back to class."

TK: He said when he saw Kyron in the gym he didn’t see Terri Horman with him. He and his family have turned over pictures they took at the science fair to investigators, but they’ve been asked not to disclose the timeframe in which he saw Kyron.

Monday, two news stations in Portland reported that Terri Horman hired a hit man to kill her husband; the news came as Horman is being investigated for the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman. Terri allegedly attempted to give “a large sum of money” to her landscaper in exchange for killing her husband, Kaine Horman.

Investigators told Kaine Horman of the murder plot and they told him that they believed Terri may have also attempted to hire other people to kill him, reported KGW in Portland, Oregon.

"Kyron became increasingly unhappy about not spending time with me," Young said. "He wanted to come live with us. Several times he would just break down and just sob because he wanted to stay."

"It was typical kid stuff, nothing more than typical crying sometimes."

Although hundreds of thousands of children are reported missing every year, about 115 are cases in which a child is abducted by a stranger and killed, held for ransom or taken for another reason. Kyron's case, though still unsolved, falls in this category, said Ernie Allen, president of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Reporter asks "Have you wanted to go out to search yourselves?"

Kaine "yeah, but it would probably turn into a search for us at the same time as Kyron."
Desiree "So what we've done is turn our energy into getting buttons and shirts made."

KGW also asked if they know why police have been focusing on searching areas on and around Sauvie Island. The family said they believe investigators focused on the island because it was a favorite destination of Kyron’s and a place they often went for family outings. Skyline school students also took field trips there.

5. Video has been requested from local businesses as well as from members of the media – Has any footage been recovered and if so did it yield anything that will be helpful to the case?

Sheriff's Office: We have recovered many photos and video footage. We will not be able to comment on their evidentiary value. We continue to ask individuals in possession of photos and video surrounding the Skyline Grade School event on June 4, 2010 to provide that to investigators. We continue to ask the media for their assistance and support in this investigation. The photos and videos that have been provided by the media have helped further the investigation process.

I can't for the life of me understand why both Desiree and Kaine said Terri gave no information on her timeline for that morning of June 4. Terri was emailing on June 5 her timeline, and that she had told it to LE. Kaine and Desiree have said that Terri was "venting" to everybody about what was going on with her and LE. It just doesn't make sense to me that Terri wouldn't have vented about repeatedly telling LE her timeline. And Kaine even said that as early as when they jumped in the car when the bus driver said Kyron hadn't been at school, that Terri was telling him what she had done that morning. Talk about mystifying.

Desiree: The fact that you can't explain any part of your day, (emphasizes) any part of your day, on the most important day that has happened in our lives for 7 1/2 years... is not okay. It's not only not okay, but it's unfathomable.

I mean you can't not know where you were at. You can't just be missing for 3 hours.

It doesn't work that way. And if you're hiding something, just come out with it.

And the fact that two people's time are unaccounted for? I think you can come to the conclusion on that.

Regarding LE -

Reporter: Are you getting feedback from law enforcement that that piece of evidence is significant to them as well?

Desiree: I don't know if I can speak for them saying that it's significant. I just know that I can speak for my feelings it's significant. It's huge.

Kaine: um... it's suspicious but until they close on it, it's, it's not 'confirmed' or 'not confirmed'. It's just open.

Kaine: I'll agree with what Desiree said. (snip) So that's the only suspicious part about it in my mind at this point in time. The overlap and the fact that we just have, we have, now we have two timelines that are just not being brought forward, or they're not forthcoming in what those timelines are.

Does Desiree mean that Terri did not give LE any information about her day at all, or that she finds it unacceptable that there was a gap, that there shouldn't have been any part of her day that Terri wasn't willing or able to give a complete explanation of? I thought that she may have meant the latter.
