Rape allegations mount against Bill Cosby #3

So Jimmie Walker said, "I actually thought everybody KNEW about all these women."

Hasn't he been paying attention? Clearly everybody did NOT know all about these women. Has he said anything about Cosby's extracurricular sex life before now?

And this:
''What upsets me the most is the fact that we will never gonna see his works again, because he's gone forever and ever,'' Jimmie ended.

Yes, the most upsetting thing is we will never get to watch Fat Albert again. That's way more upsetting than 40+ women being raped.

I wonder if they had some kind of open arrangement in which Bill gets to run around with young ladies as much as he wants and Camille can't complain as long as he keeps it out of the press to keep from embarrassing her in public.

Or his philandering...

She's sounding more and more like Jerry Sandusky's wife.

Public divided over Smithsonian display of Bill Cosby's art
More than two dozen observers have called on the Smithsonian by email this month to dismantle the exhibit, citing rape allegations against Cosby. Meanwhile, visitors at the exhibit itself have left almost all positive messages in 74 pages of a comment book, praising the artwork despite Cosby's troubles...Yeah extramarital affairs may be a private matter but rape is a felony...Anyway, Dr. Cosby must have understood that as a celebrity moralist his private philandering might be of interest to the press at some point.'...
Former Bill Cosby chauffeur not aware of comedian's activities He chauffeured Cosby when he was in Nevada in the late 1960's and 1970's. They were excited to be there for a screen test.

WH Reporter Who Asked Cosby Question: It’s Become ‘Presidential Issue’

In disturbing detail, Bill Cosby testified about the exact type of vulnerable young beauties he wanted from a New York modeling agency during his "Cosby Show" heyday. The girls were to be from out-of-town and "financially not doing well," Cosby reportedly said in a newly revealed section of his decade-old deposition obtained by the Washington Post.
Cosby recruited the wide-eyed fashion models through agency owner Sue Charney to dine in his dressing room at "The Cosby Show."

Good lord!
This reminds me of the female PAs et al from the Letterman crew being forced to watch Cosby eat before the show.
This is really creepy.

I went back to Donjeta's post, #693 and reread the chauffeur's last quoted statement.

He also said that the previous person in his position disappeared, and that he didn't want it to happen to him
.

Am I being overly dramatic when I think the chauffeur was implying that "disappeared" was less likely connected to Donald Trump yelling "You're fired!" and more connected to Tony Soprano nodding to one of his minions?
When I re-read it, I found it to be a chilling comment about the kind of power that was rumoured to be behind the Cosby image, whether or not it was wielded by BC himself.

IDK Wendiesan but I had the same reaction. But I guess Cosby could be just one of the shady characters associated with a casino so even if it was a forced disappearance it might have absolutely nothing to do with him.

I wonder if his memories are colored by the recent news or if Cosby assaulted or otherwise mistreated every single one of those young women because he seemed to imply that they all were depressed afterwards.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A Philadelphia mural featuring Bill Cosby has been painted over as new details emerge of his testimony in a sexual-assault lawsuit.

Pressley: I'm not certain what you mean by saying that you never hear from Bill Cosby since through his attorneys he, from the very beginning, has denied repeatedly the accusations and allegations that have been lodged against him.

Pressley: As he said a number of times, that's been denied, one, that he ever slipped without a person's knowing, male or female, a drug of any sort to them and, two, that there was ever between him and any other adult nonconsensual sex.

Well but he was asked that in the deposition and the lawyer instructed him not to respond to the question.

Pressley: And I what I said to you is that through the court system when court cases are brought appropriately, then it's handled by the defense and by the plaintiffs in the manner that it's supposed to be. And that means that they make all of the decisions that are available to them in a court of law. That doesn't mean that I'm gonna sit here today and tell you what I would advise Mr. Cosby to do or what his Los Angeles counsel would advise him to do or what his intentions are. It means that's the forum, that the forum is not headlines from 70 years ago with one question and one answer from a deposition about the use of a party drug.

Not sure what headlines from 70 years ago have to do with this. 70 years ago Cosby was 8 years old and many of the women hadn't been born yet.

Yeah, the same person.
But for Amar, who earned his medical degree from Howard University in 1963, providing pills under questionable circumstances and skirting the law were not unusual. Whether he practiced in California, New York or at a string of clinics in Maryland, he was constantly in trouble with medical authorities and periodically lost his license. Disciplinary records from those states reveal the wrongdoing of a dangerous doctor who kept moving to stay in business.

In the deposition, Cosby repeatedly says he did not know Green and had no recollection of meeting her during a singing audition that she said had been arranged by Amar. The attorney goes on to say that Amar was furious to later hear from Green that Cosby had given her wine and made her feel “very uncomfortable” by asking her to speak song lyrics directly into his face.

“In her presence, Amar confronted Cosby, almost coming to blows,” the attorney recounts. “He warned Cosby never to do anything like that again to Green.”

The Complicated Case Of Camille Cosby
But, in all the narratives we've created for women like Dottie Sandusky or Camille Cosby, one crucial fact has fallen through the cracks: You can be both victim and enabler at the same time.

“I was very concerned, because the case that was brought was by a former Temple employee charging he [Cosby] was molesting her while he was a trustee. That’s disturbing enough. But the current chair of the board, who was also on the board then, is the attorney for the defendant? I just couldn’t believe this conflict. Who was O’Connor representing — Temple University, or Bill Cosby? How could he represent the interest of Cosby and Temple and an ex-employee at the same time? It seemed like a major conflict.”

A bit OT about O'Connor: http://temple-news.com/opinion/respect-student-journalism/

Cosby's got a problem ... he can't take the 5th because the statute of limitations has run out on all possible criminal prosecutions. So for Allred, it's open season.

Huh???:waitasec: Can someone explain his warped logic to me?? How does a woman saying "I want a tight butt" (from working out) translate to having physical permission to touch her butt, unless you are perhaps a personal trainer or a doctor???

I just watched a few Monique Pressley interviews on Youtube. She is a piece of work. A hired tool. Somebody on Youtube said it best: "This is nothing but a very late and very pathetic PR move by the Cosby Machine. I'll say one thing for Monique, she has the art of 'well spoken nothingness' down pat."

Totally agree with you.
I can imagine what happened next, that empty flattery "Well, it looks pretty tight to me" went rapidly into unwanted gropery "Feels pretty tight too."
With BC's ego, he probably took her walking into a room with him as an invitation to touch her anywhere he wanted to.

I think BC's biggest nightmare is coming up: a video deposition with a relentless Gloria Allred, and taking the 5th no longer an option. What was said in the recently released deposition did leave him a lot or room to slide away from his actions. In that deposition, with the help of his attorney and the 5th, there were questions he didn't answer. This time around, it's a whole new game.

Doctor who prescribed Bill Cosby Quaaludes 'knowing he planned to give them to women' revealed - and he was a gynecologist who eventually lost his license

Dr. Leroy Amar has been revealed as the doctor who prescribed Bill Cosby Quaaludes in the 1970s

Cosby said in a 2005 deposition that Amar did this knowing that he had no intention of taking the drug

The disgraced actor admitted he planned to possibly distribute the drug, and to knowing that it was illegal to do so

Amar lost his license to practice medicine in 1979 for 'most serious misconduct'

He had his license reinstated in 1985 but never practiced again in California, and died in 2002

Amar also reportedly botched multiple procedures while working as a plastic surgeon

I wonder if the video deposition will be made public? That's one BC appearance I would love to watch!

Dear Camille, accepting your husband as a philanderer is one thing, accepting the possibility (IMO, fact) that he is a predator is something else entirely. You are willing enabler.

Hurrah for Gloria Allred! She gets a lot of criticism for her work as an advocate for women and is accused of being a publicity hound, etc.

But I don't notice other attorneys, male or female, stepping up to assist these women in crisis.
