The 911 call occurred at 6:45 AM, purportedly made by Jonah Shacknai’s brother Adam Shacknai, a guest residing in the guest house. (According to a report from Radar, Adam arrived in Coronado after Max’s accident.) By 2 PM, according to the website Coronado Patch, Zahau’s body was still ‘on view’ to the public.

with her body laying there exposed in the sun, how much "evidence" is gone?? Bearing on autopsy report??

Perhaps someone can ask their brother:::::: pferrin???? (TIA)

:seeya:

I will ask him in the A M ..he and his beautiful wife went to a play. if anyone has more questions they want me to ask him just let me know.

Yes .. I am very puzzled that the "body" was left out in the open in the sun uncovered for hours. Is this usual practice and what does this do to body evidence including fluids in the meantime?

Thanks for the offer of asking, and thanks for asking him.

Exactly what I thought when I read that. ::shrugs::
It also begs the question: WHO was doing the "forbidding"? Was it LE saying that a retained attorney cannot speak to his client? I highly doubt that - no way. So, was it someone else that was doing the "forbidding"?

The more background I'm reading today on JS has me leaning in his direction - for the death of RN. He would have been seriously pizzed about his son. AND, here's another thought. The dog. The Wirearamer (sp?). Remember he had once had a German Shepard that would "attack" if someone raised their voice or became "tense" with JS. Whatcha wanna bet he had that dog trained that way? And, now, considering that - what if this Wirearmer was trained the same way? That could have been why RN wanted that dog out of the house - for when he came home from the hospital.

This is getting stranger by the day.

The place where we were stumped with this discussion in the last thread (?) was:

IF a perp strangulated RN with a rope, which was later used as the noose rope, would ME be able to distinguish between this hypothetical murder from suicide by hanging?

My understanding from the discussion was also that the strangulation with rope would have had to be angled on the neck to mimic damage that a noose would leave in order to possibly fool ME.

Disclaimer: I don't have any expertise in this area, just reporting what was discussed and stated.

I think yes on that being able to be told but UNLESS it is Dr. Spitz testifies in court. God forbid most of us don't need that again. I believe the ME will determine answers to all our questions but will they be sealed as well.

This is just truly sick. How, why, in the flippin world would she have just laid out there for that long. This isn't right and these cops are going to screw all forensics up and whoever did this will walk just like FCA. Makes me want to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead:

The fact that LE has sealed the autopsy results tells me they don't think it is a simple, straightforward suicide.

I can imagine them keeping the gruesome details sealed out of respect for the family, but at the same time, if it's been ruled a suicide, why not at least release that fact rather than keeping the family in suspense?

This is actually quite customary. LE or DA of the county will go to a Judge and ask for the autopsy reports to be sealed to protect their ongoing investigation.

Also autopsy reports do not become an official document until all toxicology reports have been returned and then the ME will finalize the proper paperwork and issue his official complete report.

They have sealed both autopsies. I don't think both are homicides. I am not even sure if one of them is a homicide. It may windup being ruled accidental for MS and suicide for RN.

IMO

When arriving at a scene the body is the last thing to be removed. They are not moved until the scene is fully investigated. They must collect evidence around the premises......talk with Adam......scour the mansion for evidence...take video and multiple photos of the body laying there. Remove and collect any evidence found loose on the body. They have to wait for the ME to come and inspect the body. They must decide the best way to remove the body without disturbing the evidence. They may even take soil samples around where the body was cut down and then the place where the body was moved to.

When LE finally found the body of Jessica Lunsford her body lay there all during the night as LE worked the scene.

It isn't uncommon to see the police at the scene for many hours even up to 8-10 hours and then to see the body finally removed to be taken in to the MEs office.

IMO

I agree, they don't become official/signed until after tox is done, but cause of death is pretty much known, like strangulation etc. through initial autopsy why then seal it? For example look at many celebrities that have died and we hear after intial autopsy that they have to wait until tox comes back because they can't for sure say what happened. Example Anna Nicole Smith; tox comes back that she overdosed.

This really adds to my specualtion of what happened to Maxi. If they're not related why seal his too? I'm beginning to wonder if when Max fell from the stairs he became hung onto something during his fall, and because of similarity to RN's death they have sealed his also.

A question to others that may know. Maxi was coma induced because of trauma to the brain, which obviously could happen from a tragic fall. Now IF a child was found hanging would a coma inducement be done? If not then that will end my specualtion on this theory. Sometimes silence isn't golden.

Thank-you.:)

ETA. speculation over.

Would it be unfathomable to think perhaps Dina is afraid of the dog - given prior history - "Rebecca I need to talk to you and you need to tell me what happened to Max..I want to hear it from your mouth..but could you make sure the dog is not around?".

IIRC the dog who "attacked" Dina was NOT the Weimeranar (sp?) primarily cared for by RN but a "guard dog" belonging to JS. I remember reading this in the first RN thread and can go back and try to find it if necessary.

As usual, I am just here reading all of your great work, but did see this come up several times so i thought I'd chime in.

No it's not uncommon but exposed in that manner? If the report is true that she laid there "in view to the public" from early morning to 2 pm?? It's disgusting.

No. It wouldn't.

Why? She wasn't on the front lawn. She was deader than a door nail and at that point their job becomes finding out what exactly happened. Professionals were there to do exactly that. ( sorry to be so blunt, but it needs to be said)

Only thing I see that's disgusting is media helicopter kept flying over & streaming the footage and printing the photos.

From link:

Prominent San Diego defense attorney Paul Pfingst visited the home late Wednesday night but was refused entrance. Pfingst would only say that he was hired by someone involved in the case but was with forbidden to speak with that person.

Huh? Say what? That makes absolutely no sense. He was hired by someone and then was forbidden to speak to that someone?

Wow

Hmmm... yeah, strange. Who would have been at the home other than Adam? I wonder if Jonah hired him to represent Adam and Adam told them he had no idea who he was? And, some of these high profile lawyers go out looking for a client - may he just showed up but wasn't asked to by anyone? They would refuse him entrance just because it's a crime scene. I suppose they could forbid him to talk with someone who said they weren't even his client or forbid him because his client wasn't coming out of the house?

In view to the public. I did mention that in my post. They had enough time to get a tent up and still do their job. No excuse. It's called dignity and yes, even dead people deserve it.

What public are you talking about? :waitasec:

I really don't pay any attention to what some anonymous commentors says about someone else they 'supposedly' know.

I am sure Jonah made enemies along the way. I don't know of a powerful CEO that doesn't. Resentment, hatred, biases and jealousies seem to abound.

Now I am positive that some of the negativity is valid and warranted but for the most part, imo, a lot of people just don't seem to like wealthy and powerful people who have made it to the very top.

IMO

Well, since all actual facts are being withheld by law enforcement - and since the news media out there seem a little lazy to say the least, and have gathered little info on their own (how a bout using a little shoe leather, San Diego reporters?) but just repeat the old facts in their stories - all that's left is the web noise from speculators and such. i would expect that inevitably the dirt will come out, for instance JS's sexual perversities and habits, if there's anything there. That is, unless LE comes out this week and declares it an accidental death of one and a suicide of the other, and goes for a quick wrap of the case, so Coronado can get back to normal as soon as possible.

Thanks you n/t, I wanted to post that earlier, but was too busy reading. This is despicable the way her body was treated. What are they, a bunch of k-stone cops out there. She should have, as you stated, have had a tent around and over her. I can't believe this!! :maddening:
