Was she with JS at the time of the Macy's incident?

I wish media would let go of some of their licensing fee money and have a sit down with the newly divorced Neil Z. (May-Right?)
I know the price would be high, surly he has been told to zip it.

I think Dina flipped on Rebecca...totally lost it... staged the murder to look like suicide (although) IMO that was a pretty stupid suicide scene...

When I look at pics at pics of her , I can see how insanley jealous she probably was of Rebecca....
I bet she caused lots of problems in Rebeccas relationship with JS.

Well, she could probably get a temporary insanity plea under all the circumstances/ Still, you think she arranged for the hypothtical killing, or did this herself? She does look like a fairly fit lady herself, larger than average; but RN was quite fit too.

A man with two failed marriages, mega rich, I HIGHLY doubt he was truly planning to propose just like that...but then again I don't know the dynamics of the relationship. His divorce from Dina was officially over in January of 2011 -- that just happened.

I see him more as a serial proposer. In fact, older men who have money and prestige often think it is better for their image to be married or for some reason they want to be married. I had a first hand encounter with this, not as rich as Jonah, but the guy was a serial proposer looking for his third wife. He gave at least 3 different women the same rock. Of course, he had to get it back before he could give it to the next one. There's good reason to be married I guess... it's for the image, but also to provide stability, someone to take care of the home or share that, and a regular companion/sex partner. I guess it means a lot when one is so busy :)

Ocean ... this article, once again, should be taken with a grain of salt. It is based on anecdotal evidence and is exploratory research per the author.

There is no hint that he had another girlfriend though. He and Rebecca seemed to be very close and happy for 2 years or more.

So I don't see him bouncing from one woman to another and with his money he could have a different woman every night if he wanted to.

But what if there is other evidence that points a finger at Rebecca - what if GS said it was RN's fault. Why did they remove GS from the house so immediately?

On the other hand, what if it was somewhat GS's fault, but an accident. They wisk her away and Rebecca is the only other person who knew what was going on? They were going to just call Max's death an unfortunate accident at first.

... snipped for space ...

The disposition of clothing found at the site of a naked suicide attempt or completion can yield valuable clues to the individual's mental state. Clothes that are neatly arranged point to a planned suicide. Clothes strewn about raise the question of compulsivity or mental disorganization secondary to a severe psychiatric condition, substance abuse, or sexual homicide.

Naked suicide can be associated with any method of suicide; however, anecdotal evidence indicates that it occurs more frequently with hanging, overdose, or drowning, but to a lesser extent in jumping deaths.

Anger and vengeance can be expressed by completing suicide while naked, especially when it is intended to traumatize a survivor. The shock of discovering a naked suicide inflicts an indelible, traumatic memory that can haunt a survivor for a lifetime.12 The person who completes suicide while naked may intend to add insult to a suicide survivor's already devastating injury.

Thanks for posting this info oceanblueeyes! It's very informative!

Assume, for a moment, that RN's case is a murder case.

Would DS be very familiar with all of this info, especially the parts I bolded, due to her professional training?

Could DS have planned for JS to discover RN?

I can find more links that says the same thing. There has been some research over the years on naked suicides and they are in line with this author's writings.

If you wish to take it with a grain of salt then I understand but since I have read extensively about all kinds of suicides since my husband's nephew killed himself in 1998 I think this article is pretty spot on.

In her profession I do believe she would be aware.

If she actually murdered RN then most assuredly she would want JS to be the one who found her imo.

Although I am not convinced (yet) she killed RN.

Just letting my thoughts run wild. Not responding to any specific post.

The problem I have with RN committing suicide over feeling responsible for Max's apparently accidental death is, I don't think said suicide would have been so immediate. It seems like if it was truly just an accident, there would be more than two days of agonizing over questions like "What if I had done this? What if I had NOT done this? Would he still be alive?" before the self-imposed guilty verdict and death penalty.

Therefore, the only two reasons I see her killing herself out of guilt over his death that quickly thereafter is

1) she did something purposely to cause his death, and the enormity of what she had done hit her only after he actually died;

or

2) she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and sobered up later to the reality of having done something horrific that she never would have done without the chemical influence.

However, from all the media reports I've read, there's nothing to indicate she either:

1) had any kind of resentment against Max, much less one strong enough to motivate her to harm him, even on impulse

or

2) had a substance abuse problem.

So, no matter how much I try, I cannot wrap my head around any logical suicide scenario. At all. Much less one requiring such an elaborate, self-humiliating method.

I would be completely distraught if a 6 yr old died of a horrible injury while under my care. I would be inconsolable. Especially if I had been negligent in some way. we do not even know exactly how he died, but I think there is more to the story than a simple fall on the stairs. There are rumors that he fell from the upstairs balcony even. How could that happen? And apparently her 13 yr old sister was present. What if she was afraid that she was involved somehow? { I am NOT saying she was involved.Just saying it may have made RN feel guilty somehow.]

I can see several possible scenarios in which RN might feel tremendous guilt or shame after this adorable child's death. And if the parents were not present, then perhaps they would not feel the same guilt or responsibility that she did. They were still in shock, sitting in the hospital, and she was back at the scene of the accident, waiting and knowing the truth.

But I don't believe she killed herself. I think she was killed. If I had to guess right now, I would say by someone hired by Max's mom.

Has RN's family said anything about her sister being at the mansion when the accident happened?????? Was RN's death a message to her family????
Hush money????

Here's a scenario I could see... for whatever reason after Max's death, he/she/they thought Rebecca would leave or were hoping she would. Maybe there was going to be a reason it is now problematic that she is around (no, I don't know why). However, Rebecca has no intention of leaving, she is ostracized even more, she actually accepts this but tells JS she still loves him and son on even though the treatment is poor... someone realizes she isn't getting the message and is not going to leave. Maybe Dina couldn't fathom living down the street from them with Rebecca in that house. Maybe Dina put emotional pressure on JS somehow or told him she was going to tell other stuff she knew. Why didn't they just have two individual press releases - they were divorced. I don't see any reason to release one together just because reports were coming out about their abusing each other. That seems more like damage control on their own images than anything to do with the two deaths. And, nothing about Rebecca? I always had a feeling that was JS sparing Dina's feelings - I wouldn't do that, I'd honor my partner. Something just isn't right with those two. Maybe they are just creepily shallow.

The article plainly says there just isn't much about naked suicides in general, that's why this is presented as exploratory and not based on much research.

Further, I don't even see one single instance in there of a woman committing suicide naked by hanging herself with her feet and hands bound. The fact is, that is extremely rare. I think the study already has some cherry picking going and and then the results are being cherry picked.

I'd like to know how many cases have ever been reported of a woman committing suicide by hanging herself in the nude with her hands and feet bound in a public place.

No - we haven't even seen any indication that RN has a 13 year old sister.

More that likely bad reporting.

The 13 year old in question is believed to be GS, MS' sister.

Exactly, they can keep her quiet.........but for some reason they didn't want RN to talk........

Does anyone have what GS stated on her facebook page.......did she speak of the "accident"?

Where is DS?

We have heard that JS returned to AZ for funeral of MS.

We have heard that AS has left California.

No reports about DS' whereabouts ????
