Rebecca Nalepa - suicide or murder? #5

Still no new news on this case?

I sure wish LE would give the media an update on how the case is proceeding.

Still think it was most likely a suicide but sure would like to know what LE has determined.

I still cant make sense of why someone would stage a suicide to look like a murder.

IMO

I have to say that I am baffled about the lack of media coverage on this case, and even more baffled that the hiring of that PR firm has truly been a huge success. Ever since they were hired, if you google JS, the first thing you get is his bio/profile on his company website...thereafter nothing recent, no new developments on this case. Wow, now I see clearly what some people mean when they say that money gets you huge advantages -- and that does not exclude necessarily the law and hence, justice. We'll see what happens, but so far all I hear is the sound of crickets.

If I were Rebecca's family, I would be demanding answers -- the ball is in their court. If it were me, I would be contacting the big names to talk about this case -- you name it, abc, cbs, cnn, a, b, c, d...that is...if it were my beloved family member.

And you know, there is one huge advantage here -- this is America and here you get to be heard. Other places in the world, people do not have the right or the privilege...money or no money.

Probably a repeat....but the bolded part was of interest to me...

Notice how the police are making it clear they are keeping an open mind? Making it clear there is no 'rush to judgment'? THAT makes me feel very good. Crossing T's and dotting i's, maybe? :)

Paladine,

This is a humorous post, ok?

There are no T's and only 2 I's in HOMICIDE. So, it shouldn't take too long to dot those I's......

Rebecca could have tied the rope to the balcony and tossed it down. Went downstairs, climbed on the table, put the noose around her neck, wrapped and bound her fee, tied off her hands, lifted her legs, move her bound hands under her bottom, swung her legs over the table and hung herself. Her bent legs happened because her feet were touching the ground.

and my point in the darkness of night with a sliver of a moon (1/4) she was able to do all of this outside in almost total darkness??

I still question this as suicide based on the weather conditions, and I guess I always will. Thanks for the ideas .. take care. :)

A little o/t here, but my eldest son, who isn't nearly as rich as JS but has a security system, and when I go over to his house (to be there when my precious g/d gets home from school,) I have to actually open the door, throw my purse on the floor and run to turn off the alarm. I'm fast, but I've never made it before the alarm goes off!! It shots, "THIS IS THE POLICE, WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF A HOME INVASION, WE WILL SURROUND THIS HOME WITHIN FIVE MINUTES. LEAVE NOW." And it repeats it over and over and it's VERY loud. Also, with the message, in the backround are sirens going off VERY loud. I'm sort of glad my g/d does not need me there anymore. I'm a little old for all this stuff!

I have an alarm, too...it's pretty standard where we live...what happens here is the alarm co calls me to ensure it was me, or one of mine, that set the alarm off...most , let's say. middle class homes have them here. I'd be quite surprised if a mansion didn't at least have that.

Mind you, sometimes during the day, we won't set the alarm...but we always do come nightfall. Some alarms have number codes, some have fingerprint recognition, from what I've learned...

Hence, explosion! But if it was DS I don't think she could have done it alone. RN was very strong, worked out, in good health, no I feel RN would have needed help.

Frankly, if it had been me, I just would have killed her (no staging) and then called the police. I wouldn't care what happened to me after my child died.

Would Dina feel safe and secure enough to go into Jonahs home and murder Jonahs girlfriend without his knowledge or approval, and with AS on the property? And if she did, wouldn't it be better for HER to keep the dirty deed indoors, so as to not draw any attention? She was probably wrapped in the emotion of losing her Son, or the threat of, imo...the accident was Monday...would she even be at the stage of grief that brings rage? I think I'd still be in shock....when I had an emergency somewhat like that, it took days, maybe a week, for the reality to sink in....

I just cannot see that, anymore...allow me to hedge my bet....or, at least at this point. ;)

Yes

1. A true Alpha male has no need for a German Shepperd.2. An "Alpha female(s)" feels that she has a right of passage.
3. A timid person does not make major changes within a few years or finalizes a divorce in the course of a few month right before your very eyes.4. Clinical Psychologist moving into the role of second wife with multiple domestic infractions is not timid.

4 steps to a train wreck.

Bolded by me #1: That may be true but I know of MANY, what I would consider, 'abusive' 'men' who have vicious dogs, and train them that way...I once had a guy tell his 2 pitbulls to 'watch' me...and if I moved they would attack. So, 'alpha', not 'alpha'...I'll leave that to ya'll. But if anyone tries to tell me JS was a meek man who needed a dog for protection from 'alpha' females..well...I ain't buying that.

Bolded by me #2: I am a timid person. I am not alpha...and I have made many quick changes in my life...I'd argue the opposite. A timid person is more easily swayed by a more dominant personality to do so...imo.

It does seem like an awful lot for a woman to do. I would think that most women who kill someone would use a gun or knife.

The orange construction extension cord is a "manly" item.

I would like a couple more clues......what was on the carpet....what happened with the picture....

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but IMO JS had no choice but to seek the help of a topnotch PR firm to deal with this situation. He is CEO of a large corporation that employees thousands. He has shareholders & a board to whom he has to answer. Negative publicity has a direct impact on his company, which could, in turn, impact his employees, the value of his company, etc. He did the only responsible thing, IMO. Having said that, do I believe he is pristine & has no responsibility for RN's death? Absolutely not. And I would love to see RN's family keep this story alive to keep pressure on the investigation.

I agree. Even if he didn't do it someone looking out for company's best interests would have. SOP, I guess. I think it was said that it would be easier to name those not clients of this PR firm than those they represent, so not uncommon.

It would have only been good business advice from his company and personal attorney.

O/T....with the DOW dropping over 500 points today...Medicis started at $35.19 and closed at $32.11.......down $3.41. His company took a bigger hit than most of his "peer" companies.......but his company is listed as a "buy"..

RBBM

Yeah...in the dark...or all lit up so anyone entering the courtyard could see her...including AS, if he was on the property, or coming back that night, if he left...think she'd want AS, or anyone else, to catch her stripping and wrapping herself in electrical cord and rope, teetering on a 3 legged table, with a rope around her neck? Think he might try to stop her? That someone would try to stop her? Stop her from bringing such a media fiasco to Jonah, at least?

I want to see an autopsy report...and, then, know who the coroner is...and then, we'll see...

It might be listed as a buy now, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole right now - not just yet, anyway. Would be interesting to see if any mutual funds have divested it.

Great point...watch and see if any shares are dumped...it may be an insider sign of things to come.

Yep, lots of lives could be impacted, way beyond just JS & RN's family, depending on the direction the investigation takes. LE is acutely aware of this. Have a good night.

A true Alpha will tell you to stay and you will stay because he said so. Who ever had the dog was not a true Alpha. You stayed because of the dogs not him.

Alpha's leads and takes care of what they call/feel is their own. They do not abuse. Stay in line they have no gripe, step out of line and they are on you.

An abusive man is a control freak they usually prey on the weak. Control freaks make you do things because they want to feel the control. Alpha make you do things because he feels you need to.

Women often confuse the two.

I would gather to say you made the major changes out of necessity that is a big difference in making a change from personal wants.

RN felt that was what she needed to do, did not matter, she did it.

Timid people are timid and you can provoke a timid person to react but that does not make them an Alpha. Often you can see Alpha in childhood. Gang leaders are examples of the Alpha system.
