None of these seem to fit with a single suspicious death, which may or may not be a suicide, unless it is "Stopping Domestic Violence", and if that were the reason, well...hell. They're too late already.
Any thoughts?

Edited to add...I suppose it could just be for forensics, since Coronado doesn't have much call for that, but it does seem heavy-handed to me.

In my previous 'work' life.......the AG's office got involved at times if it was going to be a "high profile" or "possible political" case.....or both.....

Now if one of our POI's was to be picked up in their home state would they be booked in the home state or would they not be booked until brought to San Diego? I keep checking the booking in sites and I'm wondering if that is a waste of time.

This ongoing media blackout is unbelievable!

How can a hired PR firm put gags on every single media outlet and every single journalist?

There’s not even one single rogue journalist willing to stick his/her neck out and probe/sleuth the story?

We’re not even hearing a peep out of anyone close or not so close to the three main “witnesses”.

There’s not even a single report of recent sightings of the “witnesses”.

Even RN’s family and ex have clammed up since her service.


Please note: I do realize that IF LE shuts off the tap of information that nothing new on the case will be officially released. And, I’m not suggesting broaching insensitivities with grieving parents/family members. But, no journalist seems to be willing to chase after the story at all? It’s bewildering!

And you know this case must be the 'Talk of the Town' the last several weeks at parties and coffee houses, lounges, gyms, the beach etc etc. meanwhile not a single local reporter has enough cojones to dig into any of it, or at lewast air some of the scuttle butt. It's kind of a major default of reportorial instincts to shut this thing down like its been done. A virtual gag order from the local rags I guess. You know that if Dom Dunne was around he'd be ripping the bodices off this one right about now. Lily white would-be blue blooded Coronado would be so ripe for his picking. Especially the way the way the local media has laid down so tamely - with no curiosity whatsovere in the the double death almost right beside the doorstep of the Hotel Del Coronado.

There is a federal extradition act that covers all states. The party will be held for whichever Ca LE agency.

Since I am not permitting myself to post any more photos notice and stop the viewing of this report when we see a NEW view of Rebecca (a non fuzzed view) with the arrows pointing to the binding on her feet, her hands and the electrical cord trailing off behind her. Of particular note are the arms behind her back and the binding around her wrists which is clearly seen from this new angle and perspective. Also note that the cord around her feet (from the viewpoint) is not attached to the cord wrapped around her wrists unless it is out of the way under her legs which would indicate to me that it is either two separate cords or is one cord tied very loosely.

Notice also the detail in the scarf and how long it is bunched up at the right end to the right of her head. Unfortunately, the blacking out of her chest area and her face has also obscured the neck area and her abundance of black hair under her chin which was visible in other shots, but can still be visible to her left under her left shoulder. We also do not see the orange cord under her neck nor the blue scarf there as well which could be seen in those other images. The angle shows us something new, and take away something else.

My apologies for posting those photos to begin with. Now that they are down hopefully everyone who wished to see them saw them. It was not my intention to use them in any way detrimental to anyone living or dead or to any investigation of this matter. Hopefully a resolution of this matter is a few days away, and then minus any graphic photo content we can get back to the analysis at hand. Thanks to the Moderators for doing this, and to those of us who post here for viewing them and commenting on them.

Well spoken humanitarian response. Despite understanding the reason for pulling the pics; my personal perspective has been altered/enlightened as a result of having viewed them. The pics, albeit gruesome and graphic, served a valid purpose in my instance. They clearly identified several areas of questionable front torso bruising. As with so many other questions remaining in this case, I'd like an explanation.

OK, I watched the video where they discuss other alleged suicides who bound their hands. One guy had tried before and used his hands to release himself.....ok. But the guy with zip ties in an airport bathroom?? Do they have video of him tieing his hands and then hanging himself???? And aside from that fact, why would RZ have bound her feet? How the heck were her feet going to save her IF she in fact hanged herself from that balcony??????????? Keep herself from standing up on the broken table?

Supposedly the one guy, Dominico Doy Nguyen, 35, ties a bag over his head (to suffocate himself) and then bound his hand with zip ties? Hard to imagine he killed himself this way, but it wasn't a hanging as I understand it.

There's another thread on here where the ex wife is posting as they claimed her husband committed suicide several years ago and that isn't believable:

To answer your question though. I was kind of afraid of this. With no new info coming out and the press not wanting to point out any possible scenario of murder, that makes suicide left to talk about. I respect those here who think it could have been suicide, but I wonder with the general public if repeating the same thing as possible over and over doesn't sway their opinion.

Remind me to hide a note somewhere that says "If I die, I did NOT commit suicide"!

No one saw a hanging other than AS. There is not one LE official that can say they saw RN hanging if AS cut her down before they arrived. Who is to say he is telling the truth?

I posted the link to the Sheriff's update yesterday but didn't comment on it. I was positive about the previous update, however, I felt an eerie chill about the Aug 18th update which basically said "Don't believe anything unless we tell you and we aren't telling you anything". I don't really dig totally relying on authorities for 'the truth' and, further, don't think any respectable authorities just out right ask us to do that. I could have understood for a couple of weeks ... but this has gone on too long and I believe there are some things they could say to the public. For one, they should just outright say "It is highly improbably that this was a suicide, but we are still checking every single piece of evidence for all forensic clues". Or that, "the ME could not rule out suicide based on autopsy results."

As for the pictures, all I can say is I saw what appeared to me to be significant pooling or bruising on her inner/upper thigh area in particular, that's what struck me most...they were the photos that are readily available on the net, either on their own or through snaps of video...Bonepile magnified them. Others can comment on what they saw...

8/15 "Real Housewives" Russell Armstrong Commits Suicide

8/17 L.A. County Coroner has just made it official ... Russell Armstrong's cause of death was suicide by hanging.

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" husband Russell Armstrong committed suicide by hanging himself, an autopsy confirmed Wednesday.

A trend is developing that self inflected suicides can be determines rather easily verses "STAGED suicides".

I guess we have to wait and see.
