I agree that these children were probably never reported missing.
If they are from the same family, perhaps the family relocated shortly before they went missing (or were just traveling through) so their old neighbors didn't suspect anything. The parents also might not be in touch with other relatives.

I have a gut feeling they aren't in any missing persons databases. Hope I'm wrong

Curious about how long they have been there, gender, and all the things.

It seems it took sometime to find the others? It is possible they are not related at all? Placed there at different times?

Seems there is something that points to them not being the Skelton brothers, wondering if it is how long they've been there or LE suspecting they'd be placed there at different times?

RIP little ones.

I'm curious, too. The latest article I read stated the remains had been there a few years. That's kind of a subjective timeline. A few years to me could be three to five, and 10+ to someone else. I'm hoping they're identified soon and those responsible brought to justice.

I looked on maps, ridge meadow parkway is not long. On one end it's residential and the other some industrial, at the bend it’s wooded and I’m guessing that’s where it was.

Do we have a more precise location? Also, wondering if any of the buildings and subdivisions are newer builds? My understanding is the did not find intact bodies at all, 2 skulls and 14 additional bones. So wondering if they have been there a lot longer than thought?

I'm wondering if the estimate came from belongings that were found with the children, like clothing (tags have a date code on them) or even money.

Has LE revealed that the three skeletal remains are all boys? I thought they were still working on determining gender.
Gender is difficult to determine before puberty, on skeletal remains, without examining the chromsomes. Clothing isn't going to be a totally accurate way to figure it out.

There have been cases where clothing has helped narrow down a time period. Fashions change.

And has even lead to someone who had a photo of a child or adult wearing particiular clothes, and recalling that they had not seen the person for awhile.

Also some may have been on the market only after a certain year etc.

So yes any clothing or even remnants like a label could be helpful.

If clothing or an object found with the deceased was only sold during a specific time period, such as 1985-1990 (for example), then it would heavily suggest the person died during that period or very shortly thereafter. It’s very good information to have.

But it’s not an infallible way to determine the post-mortem interval of course since people commonly wear vintage clothing every day and own vintage items. It ultimately depends on what specific things you’re looking at and how it relates to other evidence.

I think the number of people who wear vintage clothing would be well in the minority.

And I don't feel that many children would be dressed in vintage clothing.

Hopefully some leads will turn up on who these poor little children are.

Hopefully they'll at least be able to determine whether they're siblings or related, even if gender is too difficult to determine 😞 Still hoping more people out there will hear about the story and put the pieces together, think of kids in their life or kids they knew of not being spotted for a long time.

IMO children are far less likely to wear vintage or “old” clothing compared to adults. Someone who is dressing their kids up in cute (expensive!) vintage wear probably isn’t going to murder them. And there is no shortage of cheap or free new-ish kids’ clothes. Baby clothes get damaged and destroyed often, they’re not that expensive new, and you have to buy a ton of them because they grow so quickly. Goodwill is full of 90s and 00s grown-up clothes, but the kids section tends to be packed with Carters and Old Navy.

Anyway, I digress. I think clothing best serves to rule things out — for example, “this t-shirt was first sold in 2017, so the remains can’t be older than that.”
