Remembering Hailey

It's long past time for the Texas Legislature to address this and to put back in place the teachers right to discipline their classroom! Screw the special interest groups that think it's not their place to discipline children. I am of the opinion that discipline does begin at home. Part of disciplining our children is teaching them to respect authority. Teachers take a really big hit and coming from a home where both parents taught this really hacks me off.

Another thing that really hacks me off is the fact that many days HD had no money for lunch and the teachers paid for her lunch. This is one of the most basic needs of a child and it wasn't covered by her mother.

JMO and MOO. If I get a TO for saying this I'm sorry. There is so much in this case that can't be said on WS because it's not in MSM. Would MSM cover this? I don't think so.

Do you mean discipline like detention/suspension or discipline with the paddle?

I really feel for Hailey's teachers that loved her and the children wondering who will disappear next, the children have to have some fear and anxiety.

When I was in school (teacher's kid, mind you), a teacher didn't hesitate to use the paddle on me.

Detention and suspension can work but what recourse is there for the teacher when this doesn't work?

A question for locals: Does CCity have a program where houses are considered safe houses, if a child needs to run for help? Houses that display a hand symbol or something similar where the kids know if someone approaches them they can go for safety?

We still have different things that come up. We continue talking back and forth between each other with the FBI, the Texas Rangers, the district attorney's office, the police department and us," said Patrick Toombs, Mitchell County Sheriff.

Thursday marks ten months since Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn went missing. Members of the community are now asking for help as they continue to search.

They're hoping to bring search dogs to Colorado City. Bringing in a dog would be an independent project, not sponsored by any law enforcement agency.

It is outrageous that LE is in the same place as 10 months ago!!!Where the hell is Hailey!

Have the volunteers ever searched where Billie was so adamant that she wasn't so don't search there? Personally, I think that is where her remains will be found..

I was watching the evening news when I heard about Haleigh's disappearance. My niece is the same age so this hit home for me. I immediately felt Haleigh didn't run away. The more I read about people in her life the more I felt she met with something sinister.
It's hard to believe she hasn't been seen in 10 months.
:(

Hailey's case the first one i followed from the beginning here on WS's. I had hoped to be able to follow it open to close... but there is not yet closure...

Where are you dear Hailey????

Seems like everyone involved has 'gotten on with their lives'. Which makes me want to vomit.

thinking of you today Hailey:( wish I could help more to find you...even though I am blessed and have my needs met, it's still hard to be be thankful today, knowing you and so many other precious , innocent children are missing/ It's just not fair, I will never understand it.

Hailey's case brought me to WS. I think of her every day and wonder where she is and who cares anymore besides us. Wish I knew where you were.

Billie has her nursing license back. Guess she is just moving on with her new life, states she lives in Dallas.
Choose search by name and use Billie Dunn. Click on Board Documents and then 10/27/11 document ...
