I sure hope someone is making a youtube video highlighting the difference between CMJA's testimony from the guilt phase and this transcript. Amazing how that fog lifted this time around. I wonder if Juan will play portions of that video to show this jury that she lied in the guilt phase and continues to lie in the penalty phase?

Her mind is without a doubt one of the most fascinating places EVER! So far it looks like she didn't want the world to see her do what she should have done years ago, SHOW REMORSE. Wow, just wow

She's a sociopath. Demonstrating remorse is so difficult for them. She probably hates this. I'm not surprised. And even so, these are nice words that sound like remorse, but she's still dancing around the big S word. Not one "I'm sorry," so far.

If she is admitting that she premeditated it, how can that make it sound like 2nd degree?

IDK bsk, given JA's deliberate and calculated way of wording things, it kinda looks to me like she is holding on to the fog lies with the following (RBBM & Underlining) choice of wording...

"I knew I had done something bad & that call was the beginning of covering my tracks"

Someone please correct me if I am mistaken but I thought I remembered that with the self defense tactic the defense team went with, they didn't really want her to show remorse because it was like saying she had dome something wrong in defending herself. Many people here commented that many women who kill or harm their SO in self defense still feel/show remorse, because they are horrified by what they had to do. But, again IIRC, it had something to do with not admitting guilt for future appeals or something. Anyone else remember this line of thought?

I love this. No new major bombshells. But the fact that they fought so hard to keep her remorse hidden shows me something I've known all along, it's really all about jodi. What a disgusting vile piece of crap that she wanted and expected as little number of people as possible around to be able to hear her finally show remorse (fake remorse).

So.....people are making money over the screw up by JSS.....seems "unseemly"

She will just say she couldn't testify as truthfully as she wanted to and her brain kept getting scrambled by the media's presence and Juan's yelling.

On #JodiArias transcripts: Media is contacting ct reporters directly for copies. Ct Reporters not planning to file with Clerk for now
----

I wish I knew what he meant by that last bit.

Probably because once the Clerk has the transcripts, noone will need to buy them.

It would not be appropriate for a court reporter to file a transcript with the clerk.

And yes, it would be a lot cheaper to order copies if they did lol.

AL lawyer please answer!

Why does it say "Reporter's EXCERPT Transcript of Procedings"?
Does that mean what we are seeing is just a sampling?

I am bringing Steelman's comment over from the other thread because I think it's spot on....(thanks steelman!!:tyou:)

"I see where all of this "secret testimony" was headed now...............Jodi wanted to be able to say anything she wanted to in order to get sympathy from the jury without having to be cross examined by Juan in regards to her lies.

In other words "Just let me say what I want them to believe, and don't interrupt me.
This way the jury gets the impression that Jodi actually had a certain amount of remorse, without Juan contradicting it with the facts."

If it's the court reporters making the money, in a sense, I'm ok with that. Ducking now... But, you are right and I get your point. It is what it is, I suppose. Easy for me to say... I am reading them for free. LOL.

Interesting. So the call to remorse was in response to the victim impact statements. She was supposed to be addressing them and didn't. Used the words "these people" and never apologized or addressed them directly. Just "I wish I could have a do over" and "I wish I could take away their pain."

She just can't do it.

Can you imagine the daggers that were coming from the Alexander family during this charade?

I wish I hadn't done "that".

She said her mom became mean around age 7. Started carrying a wooden spoon around and beat her. Dad did it with a belt.
