This is what I don't understand either. During Trail in 2013, JA was VERY SPECFIC that the picture she saw TA looking at was PAPER images and not on the computer.

When ALV was testifying, she "accidently" said they were on the computer. When JM questioned that, she said she had only assumed they were on the computer. And that was NOT Jodi's words to her.
Not one word about any kind of porn was talked about in 2013
What has changed??

Did JA remember that TA had evicted his roommate Thomas Brown for looking at porn on Travis' computer, and that TA had taken it to his friend to have it all deleted ?

All I know is this crap came up after JA had almost another year to think about how to get DP off the table. Then she went pro se and PORN!!!!
***********************************************

PS Are you the mother of twin boys? (your username) I have Identical twin girls

That's the problem with lying all the time.

Liars can't keep their lies straight.

JA even admitted that in the guilt phase of her case.

If her Cinnabons are moving, she's lying.

He had no reason to. His client retracted her original claim about child porn on the computer and changed it to pictures on paper that waft down in the chaotic way that paper does....or some such nonsense.

To try to back track now, even claiming today that JA was labelled a liar for claiming that there was porn on the computer when she did no such thing in the original trial, was another huge misstep in this ever changing retrial.

MOO

I agree. But maybe KN's saying if there is child porn on the PC then it wouldnt be that farfetched that TA would have pictures as well. I think in his mind child porn on the PC indirectly supports JA's testimony.

All of us with New Year's diet resolutions thank you for making Cinnabons unappetizing forever, LOL!

Another question. I thought I saw somewhere that they had found a photo of Travis as a child wearing Spiderman underwear, etc. and that it was possible he was merely looking at old family photos and that gave JA the idea to accuse him of child porn. Did I dream that?

No, you didn't.

But some of us here have always maintained that the plot began to hatch in her fertile evil gray matter when the Freemans' younger brother committed suicide. I'll avoid the details on that one.

That and the typical lying which happens with falsifications of abuse and molestation -- the type which is endemic to Family Court during child custody fights.

The likes of child-killing, partying Tot-Mom Casey Anthony pulled this one.

Think about the 'A-listers' JA was/is hobnobbing with while awaiting trial.

I think she's agreeing with the fact that jodi's life is over, that's what nurmi said.....game over....yep!

To me it looks as if she was nodding her head as to say I understand the argument nurmi was making. Not that she necessarily agrees with his argument.

Oh, in that case, we also know she's lying when her Rocks and Tootsies are Popping, her Rones are Tobling, or her Uccinos are Frapping...

The fact that whoever witness this was, was willing to lie under oath for JA.. Wth? Some people are disturbed.

Some physiological drives are stronger than others.

Just ask Brewer, Searcy, Samuels, and Zervakos.

Juan is calling his bluff (let's go to the videotape, lol). If JSS comments/questions today is any indication of how she is going to rule on Monday, whatevever DT is selling, she's not buying.

Hope the judge can clear these pending motions off her calendar on Monday and put this trial back on track real soon.

Nay. It' true. I'm sure someone else can find it quicker than me. Maybe it was on Travis' Blog ?? (not sure)

Look online at Travis Alexander images. It's Travis wearing spidies laying in a beanbag chair with his daddy. He's about four years old. Much like the child Jodi describes.

That's how I read her nods, too. Sort of "yes, yes, I get it. You've said as much before."

YES! This is just what I thought she was thinking as nurmi was talking.

  • #652
Would he have to face perjury charges if Juan can prove he's lying? Isn't that why there were no mitigation witnesses last time, even though Nurmi said it was because of cyberbullying?

If Juan cared enough to seek them, which I don't think he does, IMO.

Trying to catch up on today's shenanigans so I apologize in advance if this has been asked and answered but isn't Nurmi effectively launching an actual appeal of the conviction by threatening to do this? Is there nothing in place to stop every defence attorney from appealing every ruling on every motion during the course of a trial because they don't get their way? And considering that Nurmi will likely not be JA's attorney for an actual appeal down the road, unless she's acquired enough money to pay his private practice fees and she doesn't use ineffective counsel as an appeal issue, is this just him trying to win something...anything...at this point? At all costs?

This is not about her rights. He has to know his arguments are ridiculous and her rights have not been violated in the least, in fact quite the opposite. It's like he's willing to go down in flames to make some kind of name for himself or something, even if it's a bad one. Works for Baez. I'm at a loss as to what else to believe at this point.

Yes, there is something in place in most courtrooms.

We call it "a real judge."

Who is this "out of country" person they speak of that can't testify for the DT? Oh right, it's a secret. :shush:

:waiting: I was so hoping for raw video of the hearing.

:sigh:

I do have to give JSS credit for doing her homework as she claimed she reviewed past previous testimony and she pretty much knew this would be more of the same.

I wish she would make more rulings on the fly instead of always taking things in advisement but so long as she doesnt end up agreeing with Nurmi's BS then all is ok.

It makes a good reason not to lie via videotape or affidavit if it's a possibility though.

Marc McGee lives in New Zealand.

Yeah, but based on MM's Internet postings, I think he'd be up there if Nurmi wasn't worried about his testimony.

I don't think it's about that. It's a game. Perjury is hard to prove, especially if most of the witnesses are just testifying to Jodi's character. Nurmi doesn't want them to be shredded but he still wants what they're going to say to be out on record, mostly unimpeded. IMO

It's just unlikely that all 14 people are worried. Though some of them probably are.

So it seems Dworkin and Melendez both lied under oath about the porn during the first trial.

Looks like we've come to an impasse. Really, really curious on how JSS will rule and if Nurmi will take it a higher court.
