I love that the COA's ruling outed Jodi for testifying in secret!

Jodi crying to Dr. MF that she didn't want to be Travis' dirty little secret . . . . guess what Jodi - you are no longer an Arizona courtroom's dirty little secret witness!

:goodpost:

Someone posted about Jodi just starting to testify about how she met Travis when she was cut off. I wonder if she'll testify for days again, like she did the last time? And I wonder: will she mention the actual murder? If so - can she really say anything about that? She can't now say that it wasn't premeditated murder can she? Will she express remorse?

So many questions. Can't wait for Dec 2nd (and beyond).

How could someone post the content of Jodi's testimony when it was from a closed courtroom with only the judge, lawyers, and court reporter present?

  • #303
Nurmi said there were three mitigation witnesses. Apparently Jodi was one (the secret). Fonseca second. Who is the third? And another question. Since the COA just cut out a lot of Nurmi's crap, can we get on with Dr. deMarte and the closing arguments and let the jury go home on December 18th? JSS, are you listening?

  • #304
Seriously, did JSS seriously allow the defendant to testify in secret? For what reason? The only thing Nurmi mentioned at the Ct App was that witnesses felt threatened. Well, who at Perryville is watching this damn trial? What is he talking about?

ETA: I am just so mad. I will have to refrain from typing everything I'm thinking due to my own opinion of what it means to behave professionally. Hopefully you all will release the steam on my behalf.

I think we need another wine and cheese summit and you can vent all you want to my open and curious ears. :D

Oh Maria probably called Keifer, who called a tweeter, who gladly posted it. Lol.

This is what I meant..

She was only up for a couple days, so she's probably still on direct and Troy Hayden reported she stopped short of meeting Travis in her story. The blazer was probably a hint. The jury is probably confused as hell.
Snipped

And well, Jodi and her big mouth were present, she could have told a select few. The defense team was there as well. The Alexanders were also present. And of course court staff. Someone leaked info.

Question for the board: If Judge Stephens were to write a book after this was over would you read it? Maybe explaining some of her thinking/decisions/personal experience withthis case?

  • #308
I think it was Jodi herself. Troy Hayden said she was and that her testimony was cut off. I'm inclined to believe him..

It's in black and white on the COA:

"..during any testimony by Jodi Arias."

I guess we can say that Troy Hayden has pretty credible sources now huh? I sure wonder what that mini testimony was all about...a preview of the Hell that's to come?

I was thinking earlier that Troy's reputation is intact. :)
Still, makes you wonder about courtroom security huh?
I would guess that JA threw her family into a fire and didn't want them to know until trial was over what she had done to them. She must not have an original thought. Remember Casey Anthony?

Uh..............Nope.

They are. Nurmi doesn't even say his name anymore (which now that I think about it, is very freaking offensive.). He says things like: "So what did T-Dogg say when Chris Hughes said this? Is this T-Dogg we're seeing?" Travis apparently had a split personality: Good Mormon Travis and T-Dogg.

The defense team got a copy of the harddrive and analyzed that for the first trial. Lonnie testified that no 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was found. They now requested that the actual harddrive be released to them and the prosecution complied. The defense is now claiming 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was deleted from the harddrive and are saying JM or Flores deliberately removed 🤬🤬🤬🤬 from it and/or allowed the harddrive to be tampered with. They are saying the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 found could have backed JA's testimony that TA was looking at child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on such and such day. They searched for words like "teen" and "tween" and found lots of hits; they however can't exclude the fact that those hits include words like "thirteen", "between", etc.

They also didn't offer an explanation for the fact that Travis was apparently visiting 🤬🤬🤬🤬 websites, after death as well. (They released a list of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 viewing days and one date was after his murder.)

BBM

I asked you tell me NO! :sigh: I guess I'd have found out the truth eventually, thanks. As for the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 after his death it could have been Casper instead. You know how curious young ghosts are. The fact that he found some after TA's death should be enough to throw anything he says out. The guy is obviously an (Something I could get banned for saying.) JMO

I also think JM is letting them get away with calling Travis T-DOGG because it will come up, like you say, as disrespectful. I'm sure JM has something up his sleeve to say about that in closing. We'll see I guess.

Steely, Last year during the trial the defense had an expert examine Travis' computer for 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or things of that nature. He found none on the computer. He has not been brought to testify this time around. Instead we have the man who saw "a killer in the eye of Travis" who found loads and loads of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on the computer, including some that were done after Travis was killed. The defense had the hard drive to examine for the first trial but he apparently screwed up as well as the State's computer expert since no 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was found at all. This is not going to result in any kind of legal action against Juan or in favor of JA, IMO. Especially when the newest defense "computer expert" destroyed the hard drive so that his findings can not be proven or disproven.

MOO

BBM

I'd say: "You're kidding me!", but I know you better than that. If Judge Stephens doesn't throw this (Something I could get banned for saying.) out on his :butthead: with a suggestion to the Arizona court system to try him for perjury, then there's something wrong. JMO

Court Transcripts and the court video tapes the entire thing for future reference.

  • #313
Does anyone have a link to the post or article where it was stated specifically what the testimony was in the sealed courtroom? The Alexander's have not leaked things, and any court officer who did leak something would both be fired and this would lead to a mistrial. This is kinda serious.

Did you add the red box as well? Ok, no doubt left in my mind what so ever, I promise. :p

I would, I'd be interested in what she based her actions or in-actions on..........and what the heck was going on at the sidebars and in the Chambers!

No. She has no credibility with me at all. JMO.
But I sure hope the 13th juror, Paul Sanders, writes one! He is posting on the State vs. Arias FB page and he is an excellent writer! After hearing Chris Hughes this week for the first time, I may even break down and buy his book. I have been very critical of the Hughes, but he put everything into context for me. Personally, I still wouldn't want my friends giving me email advice. I still appreciate personal talks. But to each his own.

Don't know who the third witness is, Curious, but during the hearing at the COA, Nurmi mentioned that more than one witness might need to testify secretly. I don't know what that was all about. ? He could have been blowing smoke, as usual.

But there was no press in the courtroom. So did Troy Hayden get an interview with her in the jail?

No. Someone leaked information to Troy. Could have been any of the people who was still allowed in the courtroom or who were told who was testifying and to what. If I remember correctly, he said that multiple sources confirmed that it was Jodi testifying. Someone probably told him by phone or in person or whatever.

No, not at all.

Now if Juan Martinez were to write a book then I'd buy 10 copies at the very least. :loveyou:
