From page 2 of KN's appeal: "The court further articulated the reasons why the defendant’s compelling interest warranted a slight reduction in the rights of the public to access the proceeding for the duration of this witness’ testimony."

I wonder whether one of the justices will ask him if he is asking that the broadcast be held during testimony and then released as soon as the person steps off the stand. You know darn good and well that is not what he has in mind at all. As far as I'm concerned, his sentence above is pretty much a lie and I hope they call him on it.

http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2014/11/jodi-arias-evidence-destroyed-dismissal-motion/

"More than six years after Travis Alexander was found murdered, his ex-girlfriend Jodi Arias could be close to winning her freedom thanks to a shocking twist in the case. RadarOnline.com has learned that accused murderess’ lawyers have accused a key detective of destroying evidence that Alexander visited child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites, which they say should overturn her murder conviction."

My goodness. This sort of media does not help and is not truthful if they would just do their job and some basic level of investigating the history of this killer. That should be totally re-written as follows:

"More than six years after Travis Alexander was found murdered, his ex-girlfriend is still up to her old tricks and claiming unproven allegations. She is desparately trying to win her freedom when the case should just be in the penalty phase. It is shocking as she continues these absurd time waisting and money waisting strategies. We have now learned that the killer and her lawywers are stating an unproven accusation against a key detective and accusing him of destroying evidence that makes Travis look bad.

Just like all the other false allegations with no basis, this will most likely just waist time and money, and will not have a chance in double-hockey-sticks to overturn her murder conviction."

I think the TA family is stubborn, in just the way I am. I won't give up on something I want no matter how hard it is to get. They want the death penalty and the way I think THEY think of it is that they have come this far, whether it be 3 more months or 30 more YEARS, they want to see death through..no matter the cost, emotionally, physically or financially.
That's a good kind of stubborn- it's called persistance!

I think this was so planned. Nurmi tried so hard to impeach Flores on the stand a couple of weeks ago. He was already planting the seed of doubt about Flores in the juror's minds. IMO

It should be amusing to see Nurmi stutter and stumble over answering any of the justices' questions - seeing as he obviously didn't put the response together himself.

I suppose Juan Martinez would not be as vindictive as I. When this case is over, and JA has been sent to Perryville, I, as the district attorney, would do anything I could to make sure Nurmi suffered professionally in every court case where I opposed him. I would make him pay and pay and pay some more. Don't know how but I would spend my every waking moment thinking of ways to make him pay. He has really made me angry trying to make a name for himself by getting this killer off. I know that would be unethical but he and Baez and Cheney are just gross.

But truth is, he likely just wants the DP taken off the table as he requested in his motion.
IMO, he wants a mistrial so he can be off the case. I don't think he cares what she gets as long as he is away

I keep seeing a few points being repeated, so I'll put in my 2 cents worth.

1) The dates listed in the motion when the alleged visits to 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites occurred- May 28, 2008 to June 10, 2008. A lot of people are interpreting this as if May 28 is the first date found. The way I read the motion, Nurmi suggested that there had been many visits and these dates were chosen as examples because Arias could not have been there to plant this activity on his computer during that time frame.

2) June 19, 2009 is the date of the alleged tampering of the hard drive and many people are saying Arias had not yet come up with her pedo story at the time. Arias starting floating information about Travis' "dark side" beginning in 3/2009 through her buddy Donavan. Bering was released from Estrella that month and began posting on SM sites under the name karma4ever. In July 2009, members of mydeathspace figured the identity of karma4ever and outted Donavan.

Nurmi says in the motion that the browser history was deleted, yet defense exhibit 419 relied upon by Dworkin in his testimony was the internet history from Travis's computer. Dworkin's report was more than a thousand pages long. Never any mention of him having to recreate the browser history.

There's clearly something wrong with what Nurmi is trying to present.

When was the mirror copy made from Travis' computer by forensics?

  • #1,069
Why is there such an importance about what was or was not on his computer? I mean look at those pictures that were taken. It had nothing to do with the manner in which she killed him which has everything to do with her sentencing for the way she killed him. jmo

One very big importance if there is 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer is that a significant number of prosecution witnesses would have been involved, including experts who testified on the stand that no 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was found. This then goes to the integrity of the prosecution and its case.

If there had not been testimony on this subject, I do agree that it should have nothing to do with the case. What, most boys start looking at pictures of women's breasts around aged 14 or so? Even younger, if National Geographic counts.

When was the mirror copy made from Travis' computer by forensics?

Someone posted up thread (sorry I can't remember who) Flores' interrogation of JA in which he states that the mirror copy is made immediately, before any searches are performed. So I would guess the copy was made on or about June 10.

When was the mirror copy made from Travis' computer by forensics?

I dont know the specific date but if LE followed protocol, that would be the very first thing they do when they remove the hard drive to begin forensic analysis.

The only thing I am wondering about is if someone in LE (not the forensic person) booted up his computer to look for clues to find the killer. Which would be perfectly legal and may have triggered some Anti-Virus software (already on the PC) to automatically delete the trojan virus that Jodi copied over to his PC that day she killed him. Or emailed it to him from her own PC and then she logged in to his to receive the email and click on the virus link.

Legal LE actions like that could explain how files got deleted on the day LE first received the PC. LE would not have even known they got deleted and would have just seen a "message" that the anti-virus utility was doing its job (finding + deleting malicious files).

With respect to JSKS' unconstitutional secrecy ruling, I think of it this way:

If the especially cruel lying torture murderess is concerned about the public's condemnation of her and her actions, even to the degree that they may extend that condemnation to her defenders and witnesses, she has no one but herself to blame. She and she alone planned and executed that "heinous" murder and then repeatedly lied in her multiple failed attempts at covering it up.

JSKS has no business trying to tie the State in knots with her thumb on the defendant's side of the justice scale.

The Court of Appeals needs to judicially slap down JSKS, JA, KN, JW, and MDLR.

Let the light of truth shine brightly on those proceedings which should begin to proceed with the swiftness which all due haste requires.

The citizens of Arizona deserve no less.

For the inside? Not that I know of.....but I do clean my counter appliances on the outside probably every other day. I like for them to shine and sparkle. Most of them are stainless steel. LOL! I polish my chrome kitchen faucet everyday though. :) But I am the kind of nut that just likes to clean.:D

Can you come to my house when you're done?? lol

But what I really suspect is she TRIED to copy them to his computer and failed and she couldnt figure it out and she probably just threw the CD into the wall and it broke. Which is why she came up with another story about broken CD.

Was there a "broken" CD, or a "damaged" one? You can't break a CD by throwing it against a wall. You might scratch it, and if you throw it with enough force and at a certain angle, you might leave a narrow dent ... in the WALL ... but it's actually somewhat difficult to break one (although I've received broken ones from Netflix in the past, which makes me wonder how THAT happened). They aren't like fragile glass vases. You can try to bend it enough to make it break, but in trying to do that, I've actually had to stand on one part to try to bend the other part back. If a CD was "broken" it was not only deliberate, but it took some focused, intentional effort.

I kinda think he is enjoying being the stud that he is for the time being. I do believe he wants to win. I am a JM fangirl myself.

Yeah, they are very hard to break. Good point.

I may be in the "memory fog" that JA talked about, but I could have sworn there was previous testimony about a broken CD. Maybe someone else remembers about it.

I may have gotten confused with the testimony she claimed about being able to read information off of a CD in Travis bedroom and she claimed Travis got all mad because the CD didnt work. Something to that effect.

I'd bet it is regular 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and they are going to use it as a character flaw or moral compromise. Only, the jokes on them as no one in this day and age is gonna give two s***'s about some young man and a computer that contains 🤬🤬🤬🤬. Though, I do think they will try and tie it together with his religion, somehow making him the devil because of it.

I def believe this is a desperate ploy though and will have nothing to do with children as I am going to also guess that was an afterthought after she was imprisoned.

Desperate people do desperate things...imo

I seem to remember that it was a CD of vacation photos that JA had brought, and that the disc itself or at least some of its files were unreadable.

I think mainly Nurmi is trying to cause a mistrial one way or the other, pollute the jury with this tripe, or get things delayed to such an extent that they lose enough jury members and a mistrial must be declared. And possibly open an avenue or two for an appeal for a new trial - it's hard to believe he really wants a confessed slashing, stabbing, gun shooting murderer walking free but I do think that's his end game.

You'd think he would think twice about getting her free, given how much she hates him. Woe to the man Jodi thinks has wronged/betrayed her.
