Uh, I feel sick. I hope this isn't true. If it's true and actually involves child , the DP is off the table and even the conviction is in question. If it is not true, I hope KN has a damn good reason for thinking it was true before putting something like that about the victim in print.

How Nurmi benefits from this accusation, short of outright dismissal:

1. Gains national media attention again, first time since conviction.

2. Elicits the very death threats he claims prevented witnesses from testifying

3. Puts unbearable pressure on TA's family to back down, since this is primarily a doubling down on pedophilia accusations.

4. WILL taint the jury if even one juror breaks the admonition, a greater possibility given heightened media attention.

5. An almost inevitable major delay in resuming trial, thus increasing the liklihood of a mistrial.

6. The creation of an issue for appeal, if not multiple issues.

All of the above is TRUE. The only drawback for Nurmi----he will surely spend infinity in the depths of He!!. :devil: :furious:

Good morning everyone, I am a computer user, I have 3 tablets, 2 laptops and 1 desktop, which I hate.... I have spyware on all of them, and I have the main laptop set to show me every time I have a corrupt file, before it gets deleted... I want this so I see where it came from.... So one of my questions is was the cloud around 5 years ago.... I only ask this because maybe she put a corrupt file on her cloud, and since JA has access to all his passwords, could log into his cloud account and have the file sent that way, no record through em or cd or any traceable event. When I take a pic on my phone, it goes to my cloud, then when I sign into my computers/tablets, the pic is there. Also with music, downloaded a song from the voice last night, automatic sent to cloud, now its on my phone, tablets, and laptops.... Just a thought.

My second thought is more important. JA HAS ALREADY BEEN CONVICTED OF MURDER IN FIRST DEGREE. This is a penalty faze of trial, not a conviction trial. How can Nurmi ask to have her conviction be overturned at this part of trial. Would this not be part of an appeal. Does an appeal happen after she has be sentanced I am very confused on how he can ask for her to be free when a jury has already said she is quilty. How could he even submit this motion now, he has done lost his mind.... I am not a lawyer, but I know you can't do this.... how can this happen right now, during this part of the trial... I DON'T GET IT... HELP.

I also agree that this is really below the belt even for him... How can he not be held in contempt. (sorry if I am not clear, just don't get it.)

For the 1st part about the "cloud". I think the use of "cloud storage" is relatively new and I dont think it was readily available when JA killed Travis, although I may be mistaken about that.

IMO for me personally, I choose to not use cloud storage because of my fears of hackers being able to access them. I read a recent story of some of the famous actresses having their nude photos pulled from cloud storage areas that were hacked.

The bad thing too, is that MSWORD is now trying to force users to use cloud type WORD software that is a yearly fee and the updated WORD comes from the cloud and all WORD documents are kept in the cloud. For me personally, I refuse to use it that way and am sticking to my very old MSWORD software until i cant use it anymore. I may end up using some other software eventually because I refuse to use cloud storage.

When Arias testified during the guilt phase, she told a story of Travis being angry with her and accusing her of installing a virus on his computer. It could be that this is one story that Jodi may not be lying about.

I understand that the defense has a job to do, but this is outrageous. Of course their computer expert would know these sites are not real sites. It only took a few hours for non-computer experts to figure it out. He accuses the police department and therefore the State of purposely deleting all of these files in 2009. Now knowing that they were a virus, it is highly probable that some type of routine virus check deleted the files. The State will have a computer expert clear this up and yet again it will be much ado about nothing, however, the defense will have succeeded in delaying these proceeding once again with their smoke and mirrors.

This ^^^ I firmly believe this was a no-go that's sole purpose was to enflame the public and taint the jury. That those " sites" are known malware is proof so to speak. The defense knows this won't float but it will slow the process and muddy the waters.

I'd bet it is regular and they are going to use it as a character flaw or moral compromise. Only, the jokes on them as no one in this day and age is gonna give two s***'s about some young man and a computer that contains . Though, I do think they will try and tie it together with his religion, somehow making him the devil because of it.

I def believe this is a desperate ploy though and will have nothing to do with children as I am going to also guess that was an afterthought after she was imprisoned.

I honestly believe it was a trojan virus, but I also dont care if he looked at honestly...I'd be more surprised if a 20 something yr old single man did not look at and this will work against Jodi as the jury probably has some men on there who look at . Does that make them deserving of being murdered?

When I had a windows computed I defrag'd ALL the time. I seemed to think is sped it up. On my 3rd Macbook and never have done any MX such as that.

I asked him that, too. He says windows sometimes does it automatically. I looked it up and that's true.

I also asked him if an anti virus software would show as file overwrites. Still waiting to hear back on that one.

Yes, I know the problem with cloud storage, since I don't do nude anything with pics or other media. I use it for family pics, cause I do most pics for mine and my SO's family, it is cheaper and easier to get pics to them after events. I also like it for music, it is easier to keep my play lists up to date. I am an avid user of music over tv... I also agree about the ms word software, it is going to make me insane if that happens... But I will find a work around. I just hope JM is on top of his game (and why wouldn't he be) and getting this whole thing squashed. My insanity comes in that with all of the media out of court rm Nurmi is pulling, and now has this put out there about the so called , JSS needs to really slap his hand, head, and other areas of his body. This is just beyond what a defense atty can pull, and I wish some higher ups will come shut it down real soon.... Not fair to TA's family and friends, as well as general public being put through this garbage being spewed...

But there is ZERO motive for LEO to mess with evidence. None what so ever. That defense makes less sense than anything else in this trial and that is saying a lot. They didn't know TA, he wasn't a cop, or a friend, or a co-worker, etc, etc, etc)....I feel like this is way off, but Lord knows I have been wrong a million times.

The WHY part is easy: If the prosecution tampered with evidence, then JA most likely walks free.

The HOW part is more challenging, especially after both sides have had a shot at it. Whatever one of KN's fleet of experts can say, JM will have some expert who can rip it apart. Most likely it comes back to JA planting it as part of her premeditation, so it could backfire.

This could well backfire, but I'm willing to bet at this point that he will demand the trial be halted until they can hold hearings over whether this can be entered as evidence - of course he'll need more time for that first - and for JSS to make a ruling before the penalty phase continues. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Thanksgiving passes before another witness testifies in penalty phase II. He only needs to get 5 more jurors to bail when they realize they are going to be on the hook well past Christmas....

He did have help. It's not his usual writing style. Attys get pretty personalized writing styles. I could always tell exactly which of my colleagues wrote a particular brief.

When i was in graduate school most of my classes were "cases" and discussions of real life situations. i did not get a law degree but took a few law classes. One law class we actually took a current case and presented supporting or antagonistic positions for our paper.

Do you or AZL think that this case may be given to law students throughout the country and they are submitting their ideas?

I think we're getting closer to Jodi's mysterious virus/bug eating story. The date and volume of sites visited suggests malware. Either she planted it on the day of the murder or on the 28th somehow. I never knew what she was doing and thought people who said she was probably trying to plant were crazy because her defense was going to be she was never there. I think you guys called it and I always thought she was trying to explain away the virus they'd find or just show she has knowledge of Travis' computer when they did find the virus. My thought was the CD was a virus.

My question is this:

If Juan can prove this virus originated with Jodi and/or explain why previous experts missed it, does that negate its exculpatory status and an appeals court might decide even if this were found sooner it wouldn't have helped her anyway? Just spit balling?

Hey MeeBee! Yes, I am crazy - in all seriousness, the dates accessed did not fit at all. It just to be a virus Jodi planted. Only her. Makes her look even worse than the worse she's been, IMO.

Is Jodi that stupid that she thinks no one would see through her weak "techie" abilities?
