Perhaps because many of us would never sleep with someone ever again if they had done to us what JA had done to TA, so cannot envision him doing it either.

I've had a very hard time reconciling that question myself. That's the most mystifying part of this. JMO

Coming out of lurking...but something has always bothered me...i hope i can explain it right...why did Travis sit down in the shower??? If it was for a photo...i'd be afraid some body parts would show that i didn't want showing...and if it was because he saw her holding a weapon and she ordered him to sit..what weapon was she holding??? If it was the knife and i was Travis, i wouldnt sit..i'd take my chances and jump out at her. If it was the gun..i'd sit but i think the stabbing was first...but how did Jodi have a camera, knife and gun in her hands...sorry just one of the many things that i wonder about...back to lurking.

You should post more often! In addition to what you said, Travis was a clean freak - check out his closet if you have any doubts about that - so there is zero chance he would sit on the floor of his shower.

If Jodi was ever pregnant, it would have been screamed from the rooftops of the Maricopa Court House and the Estrella Jail. No pregnancy with Travis. No Nurmi hula hooping or Mott' prancersicing. lol jmo

I'm half surprised they didn't dream up that he got her preggers and he flew into a rage when she told him. But then again, it would have been hard to hide an abortion in the month afterward when she was spending all her time rewriting her journal.

Will write this again closer to Jan 5, but we got it all wrong about the joint account thing..She didn't mean a literal bank account.

She said TA had made "many deposits" into their joint account, but that he was"overdrawn" that day because he hadn't been in touch at all, which she found unbearable.

Will also likely repeat this......Chris Hughes says after TA was murdered , the executor for his estate contacted Chris to ask if it was true TA had given the BMW to CMJA. CMJA had emailed the executor trying to claim the car as hers.

Chris told him it was BS, so the executor asked her for proof. Wait for it.....she produced a fake email from Travis to herself. Chris and the executor reproduced how she had faked the exchange.

She didn't get the BMW.

I just stumbled upon a few "complete" entries in JA's journal. I have no doubt in my mind that the May 22nd ramblings were written after the killing. The rewritten one that JA so kindly told the detectives were in her room at grandma's house in the fireproof safe. She rambles on about Travis wanting to marry Mimi ?? There is NO WAY that TA would tell Jodi that. I personally don't think JA knew anything at all about Mimi until June 4. This rewritten journal has her "after the murder" entries as well.

However, JA kept denying the tires and afaik TA had no proof it was her. Now the pedo pamphlets she claimed to have sent him, that could easily have been the last straw(can you imagine if someone sent you something like that and said they were going to go public with claims of it??!) and from the letter she followed up with I think she realized that. Plus whatever that scamming remark was about(ie. if she had hacked into his bank account, or they had actually had had a joint one, perhaps she'd emptied and closed it/them out, heck maybe she somehow got a payout for the car and left him to finish the payments for it) and then there was the issue of having stolen his journals too, something that from his book excerpts sounded very important to him.

Surely TA had limits on what he would take before writing her off and I honestly don't think sex was enough of a payoff for what she had put him through by then for him to let it go, not even for one last time.

The pedo pamphlets are a lie she made up to cover whatever the real reason was he was mad at her. There were no pamphlets, there was no reason she would have sent them (he liked grown women) there were none found, they were not discussed. He did say she slashed his tires and even told his family and friends she did. I think she probably did "loan" him money to pay part of the tire cost.
He continued to have sexual contact knowing she had done it.

Travis was a good man. He tried to see the good in people. And she knew this. She knew he'd take her back, just like he said and she used that fact to manipulate one last booty call so she could kill him.

The stun gun doesn't fit the timeline or the forensics.
Travis was alive sitting in his shower at 5:30:30.
He was dead pouring blood from his neck with his killer standing over him at 5:32:16 (14 seconds under 2 minutes)
During this time he was stabbed in his shower, he fought back trying to grab her knife, sustaining defensive wounds (not incapicated by a stun gun)
He got to his sink where he stood for several seconds (not incapacitated) bleeding while his killer continued attacking him
Then he tried to get out down the hallway..upright until he fell creating what Juan described as a rainbow of blood as he finally went down and even tried to defend himself by kicking at the blade.
There were no marks from a stun gun seen at autopsy
Just because she once had a stun gun does not mean that it was used. She had a big knife and a small gun. No need

She was worried that Lisa might implicate her after he was found murdered and Jodi was just covering her tracks on that. If you recall, Lisa's tires were also slashed the second night.

Excellent point. She absolutely rewrote her journals. And she had not yet invented the lie that Travis had a gun. If she had he would have taken his gun on the imaginary stake out. A stun gun requires close contact with your target. I'm sure Travis is going to run after his tire slasher-who obviously has a knife--and get close enough to use a freakin stun gun. The May 22 journal entry is a real piece of work!

Why can't they bring that into evidence? That is so telling on what trickery she has produced throughout her 'relationship' with TA and is still trying to produce.

Hope I am in Texas for the holidays and just read this post. So here is my dilemma. Chris Hughes supposedly has a wealth of information about Jodi just like your post above and yet JM will not call him as a witness. This is beyond d strange to me. Something is either not right with the Hughes or with the witness list JM is using. What gives?

I don't understand how the killers journal can be evidence. I have asked this same question several times. Anything can be written in a journal. It is not fact IMO.

I agree the stun gun does not fit. But it is being considered because there are so many things that don't fit...one being the timeline itself!

I wonder how he got into a sitting position in the shower. I do not believe for a minute he sat voluntarily. If she was threatening him with a weapon, some might think he would obey but I just don't see it. He was confined in that tiny shower and I cannot even imagine him making himself an even easier target by sitting. Something happened that made him go from standing to sitting. And then...he managed to get himself out of the shower from that sitting position. The blood at the sink tells us he was injured as he lept out of the shower or very soon after. Seems to me that if he knew he had to try to make a break for it, he would have known that a minute earlier too, and would have tried for escape rather than following her orders. And furthermore, there is just no way, no way at all, that his sitting was part of a "photo shoot in the shower." That just does not even compute as in such a cramped space there is no room at all for any type of photogenic pose.

Just sayin...I don't believe the stun gun stuff just because she wrote about it. But she subdued him somehow in a way that got him from standing to sitting, but temporarily enough that he was able to at the very least crawl out of the shower to the sink and from there get down the hallway. And to be honest, it looked to me like he had to be on his feet after the shower--the blood evidence at the sink area points to that.

Stun guns come in varying degrees of potency, do they not? Not sure how much a low voltage one might incapacitate or for how long. I am not above saying she might have used one that day. I am not even sure there would be evidence of it--maybe it would leave some mark but possibly so minor that one would actually have to be looking for that. Given his other injuries and obvious that some were fatal, they may not have looked too extensively for anything else.
