Does anyone think we will see some motions this week, re Prosecutor's request for interviews and Media's request for transcript (this one I think they are going to deal with "in oral arguments" next week, I believe. Isn't there another floating out there to get the death penalty off the table. Opinions, please. Thanks and hope everyone had a good holiday.

Nurmi and Wilmer are milking it alright. Whatever happened to Legal Aid? I have never heard of indigent individuals receiving two million dollar worth of representation. Working class people would get what they pay for. Theres something wrong with the Arizona system.

the registration couldnt have had her parents address on it. it was a rental car. she just thinks she's so slick...how det. flores kept a straight face through the whole interview is beyond me too!

Nurmi Come Lately, will make his appeals in the last hour. I imagine he will try and stop the transcripts of the "Secret Witness" from being released on Monday. I don't expect to see this trial end until the Easter Bunny returns.

From Nurmi’s perspective he
was appointed to represent Arias while he was a government attorney. When he opened his own practice, he was forced to continue to represent her even though there was sufficient time for another attorney to take over. The court forced him to represent a difficult client in a high-profile, complex, death penalty case that required a substantial amount of working hours making less money than the rest of his cases.

BBM:

:seeya: I think everyone is enjoying the break ... LOL !

BUT no doubt we all wish it had been completed on schedule, especially for the Alexander Family !

Speaking of this re-trial being completed:

When do y'all think this re-trial will be complete ?

When in 2015 or maybe into 2016 :gaah: !

JMO, but I think Nurmi is going to stretch this out as long as possible for the $$$ and run the clock on the appeals.

Thoughts ?

Hi. Since you asked, I am feeling this trial will go on forever. There are so many motions being filed and so many breaks in the trial, I cannot see it ending anytime soon. That will make it quite boring for the foreseeable future. Some day, JM will have a go at it. Some day......

Lol, don't forget she couldn't keep her lies straight... then again, which rental car was she referring to... the one her mom got for her getaway, or the one she had rented as a blonde for her trip to Mesa?

Since JA was darn determined to hire a PI and go pro se in order to get her paws on
TA's hard drive, it has to be something she remembered.

One of TA's friends possibly (Serle?) has said that TA brought his computer over to him to have him delete some 🤬🤬🤬🤬 that one of his roommates had been looking at on his computer. Travis evicted this particular roommate. I don't know who it was or when, but I think JA had known about this and suddenly remembered this past year. She and her defense team had no problem with the computer evidence stating there was no 🤬🤬🤬🤬 found in her trial in Jan. of 2013. Could it possibly be this?

This may have been answered already, but his name is Thomas Brown.

Maybe she switched memory cards with one of hers beforehand and intended to switch them back?

That way, she could have re-lived that day forever, with none the wiser.

*D* internal memory.

This is what makes the most sense to me, she has certainly proven that she likes to keep(make) records(journals, pics, recordings, videos, telling certain people certain things like the email to Abe about their "hug", wasn't there another "hug" she had referred to with TA?, plus whatever it was she was doing with Searchy to get the new phone, etc).

Not possible. The camera was new, bought after she left Mesa. When viewed by Melendez it contained pictures taken by Travis between purchase date and June 4 which had not been deleted. Then came the June 4 pics, all deleted.
All Stabs Einstein needs is her admittedly great memory to recall that day. She knows every detail and delights in claiming her 'fog" so those memories are hers alone.

From page 2:

"Another pervasive defense tactic is to delay a case endlessly. Witnesses may die. Their memories can fade. Evidence may be lost. And even if a defendant is eventually convicted and sent to prison, he will have received credit for time served in the local jail while awaiting trial. In the meantime, he has had the benefit of being closer to friends and relatives."

This L.A. Times article outlines some defense tactics. You will recognize some of them after following this trial.

Interesting article, thank you. What's disturbing in the Arias case is that many excuse Judge Sherry Stephens' appeasement towards the defense are necessary to "ensure against appeals" please explain to me how this can be true.- as the article points out, the delay tactic and admitting everything under the sun as evidence will actually CAUSE issue of appeal merely by the size of the transcripts. I knew JA hit the lotto with Stephens assigned as her judge, but was hoping the judge would give her a detailed sentacing speech where she slams the defense and utter nonsense and lies of JA and how she never saw a more heinous murder and how she saw the family in tears everyday while JA drew pictures & accused TA of being a pedophile etc etc but at this point, my fantasy at hearing anything scathing about JA has diminished, I think her sentencing speech will be tame and lame.:notgood:

:seeya: Hi Curious ... and TY !

JMO but I think it will go on until at least June :gaah:

And IF so, how many jurors will last that long ? They are going to be po'd, and I don't blame them !

JMO but I do not see JSS making any significant changes, i.e.: telling the defense to speed it up and ordering the defense to quit filing those ridiculous motions !

Just read JA's latest blog where she says she's gonna teach young girls to have a "high sense of entitlement" Hello? There aren't any children in prison JA:jail: and nobody is gonna let you within a country mile of their daughter. :gaah:

Do you know when it was bought? Not that I'm questioning what was on the camera per se, but do we really know that the pics Det M believes TA took were in fact taken by TA? Plus there's the matter of the pics that Det M said he had to work to try and retrieve from the unallocated portions of the memory card, the ones that were not physically deleted by the camera. That alone tends to point to an older card having been used, one that had been cleared but not re-formatted before the "new" pics of June 4th. That means that pics recovered from these spaces could have come from June 4th(though they should definitely be showing the same stamp as those from the shower/crime scene pics) but could also have been from some unknown time and possibly even from a different camera unless the Det managed to pull the meta data for them proving otherwise. I haven't seen any meta data, have you?

1st BBM: Yep ... JA certainly got lucky getting JSS as "judge" ...

2nd BBM: Yep again ... JSS' actions and inactions speak volumes, IMO, that she favors the defense ...

JMO but I think this is going to come down to a mistrial, and JSS will hand down CMJA's sentence ...

:gaah: and :moo:

So well stated!!! Thank you!! Personally, I have never had any doubts that the photos were taken on June 4, 2008. The hair color alone is a huge clue. We have not seen all the photos taken on that day either. Someone indicated there were 8 photos (2 of Travis and 6 of her) and one sex video. LE and those forensically involved are very positive that these photos all occurred on June 4, 2008 and proved their case in this area in my opinion. Just so fortunate that even though his body was not found for so long after, the fact that the roommate(s) never used the laundry facilities and never used his computer during this time period, is pretty amazing. If the crime scene had not turned out very messy and Travis fighting back that caused her to cut herself leaving a bloody palm print (her DNA mixed with his) and the ultimate evidence the camera gave, she probably would have gotten away with this murder. She had to have known from watching television crime situations that photographs can be retrieved. This is why in my opinion she did intend to take the new camera with her. The very joy of her beloved hobby was her total undoing. Karma!!

BBM I agree we haven't seen all the pics, that may help me somewhat, but I honestly don't see what you seem to with the hair colour... to me they look like two totally different colours.
