Just saying you are remorseful doesn't cut it. You have to show sincere remorse. As you said HFM, she is incapable of portraying that. You know that old adage, lay down with dogs get up with fleas? Nurmi, IMO, is also incapable of eliciting feelings of this from JA. He, by the very act of attacking TA and putting TA on trial has thrown remorse out with the bathwater. By asking her how does she feeeeeel, again he is making it about HER and HER feelings and that is not remorse. Sorry that you got caught or sorry that you were forced to save mankind is not remorse in any stretch of the imagination. So far ALL we have heard addressed in this re-trial is how horrible the victim was, and how he had it coming and what an innocent, untried angel she was. How in the hell they intend to tie remorse in with that I just don't know. I don't think she intends to. This is all about JA, and by the time they are done, the jury will have been shown what a poor abused girl she was who was kicked out or fled at 15 to escape the abuse at home only to be abused again and again until she couldn't take it anymore and found a way out. That is how I see this stupid defense going and of course it's only my opinion..

Just a quick note about stalkers, I will tell my daughters story later.
Unfortunately Travis could not have gotten a restraining order. Also a lot of people here have assumed that if he had only gotten a police report when JA slashed his tires (and Lisa's), that would proven that JA was stalking him. Unless JA was seen slashing his tires there is NOTHING the police could do. I know all this for a fact. We lived through it with my daughter! None of these applied to her either.

To be able to get a restraining order you have to prove at least one of four things.

1. Be married to or divorced from
2. Live together
3. Have a child together
4. Life threatened

I'm confident Juan will emphasise this at an appropriate point. He did so in the first trial. Perhaps he will use an expert to focus on that issue. Dr DeMarte would make sense of it all.

Along with mentioning the one "mean" txting episode out of 82k, I'd love to see JM mention that a mere 9 days later JA butchered Travis, after making the 1000 mi trek. The killer knows dam well what Travis was angry and hurt about, and the jury need to know it, too, imo.

CMJA is lost enough in her own land to think remorse will fly. I've said all along that she's already broadcast what she'll say (in her blog in sept this year).

The remorse will be that she's sorry she didn't insist that T-Dogg get help, that she loved Travis, and she's sorry she didn't get help for her DV, because if she had all of this mess could have been avoided.
