Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 15

In 2009 the DT expert Dworkin made an image of a copy of an HD that was provided to him by LE. So Juan would have whatever they have. What's unknown is if they made a new image for the DT in 2009 or if they provided them the 2008 image.

But Juan is still asking for what they have. And they won't give it over. Hopefully Juan's willingness to be forthcoming and provide what he's asked for quickly while the defense plays games will speak volumes.

She's giving JM three hours to interview BN, in January, before BN testifies. She did not order BN to turn over the encrypted HD.

Just the mere fact that the information from one clone to the next is different and that it's different from the 2008 image Willmott keeps insisting Juan has should be enough. Because it should not be different.

Appalling really. This Judge knows a thing or two about being stern but reserves it all for Juan. This trial will drag on until the jurors are all gone or Arias gets bored and tells Nurmi to wrap it up.

Apparently the DT did request the 2008 image, because Wilmot just complained they hadn't received it yet, and JSS just forcefully ordered JM to turn it over immediately.

Apparently, they don't read up though. The law clerks look for errors only, according to an answer I received from AZL. Not that I don't wish they would go through the whole trial transcript!

Probably both, given the DT's strategy of throwing everything at the wall.

I agree. My prediction is this:
Travis having been abused became a predator. Jodi having been abused (much worse than Travis, dontcha know, by everyone who ever even sneezed in her direction) became a perpetual victim. Such rampant, lifelong abuse caused her borderline so she, being ever so victimized and mentally ill to boot, was simply single-handedly saving the galaxy as we know it by killing Travis - the big, bad, gun toting, abusive predator. One may roll eyes here. Or swear like a sailor. Or bash around pots and pans. Or, worst case scenario, actually clean instead of just putting the dryer on, vacuuming lines into the carpet and pouring pinesol down the drains to look like one's been busy.

But it seems reasonable to sputter a bit when in the span of 5 minutes JSS orders JM to turn over an image that hasn't been contested , yet declines to enforce her own demand that BN turn over a highly problematic HD.

There is a poster at BK's site that shared some very interesting information on several cases in which Geffner testified where the Judges criticized his findings. Out of respect to the OP I won't post her findings but suffice it to say that Geffner has some explaining to do when JM cross examines him about his assertion today that there was only one instance (TN Judge) where his expert testimony/findings were called into question.

Honest question-- is there any governing body that is/should be look at this mess of a trial as it's happening?

For example, on the judge's seeming lack of ability to decide anything, and the judge's/DT's ability to stall this retrial as long as possible? Is the DT always 'on the clock' so is there a financial incentive to extend the trial?

I've said it before-- having not been in their shoes, I recognize this is a shallow statement-- I wish the Alexander family could accept LWOP as the punishment. JA would stay behind bars, without an opp to get out and her appeal process would be incredibly shortened.

The family could then just strive for peace in their hearts and restart their lives. JA's family would then turn on each other & her in trying to cash in on this circus. I don't use this description, but they are my definition of poor white trash. (so sorry if I shouldn't say that)
