Martinez cross examines Flores as to whether he remembers if "Mr. Martinez" said anything during exam. He doesn't recall specific remarks.

JSS has already heard all of this.

I don't have a guess either way on how she ruled but I agree that JSS has heard all of this, outside of the jury's presence, which tells me JSS believes this information is relevant or has value as a mitigating factor, right? If not, what does allowing the jury to hear innuendo/suggestion that there was mishandling or outright deceit on the part of the PD and detectives in the mitigation phase? Am I wrong in thinking this information is specific to whether on not she should have been found guilty? I am pretty confused at this point.

Wish JM would take this opportunity with Flores to show the bathroom slaughter pics again and ask if the sight might have momentarily affected his thinking.

Excellent idea for Juan to do when he gets his turn at cross. Juan needs to get focus back on the murder of Travis and what JA did to him.

We know the DT is going for distraction and appeals, so Juan has to get the Jury focus back on what is important.

I feel like Cathy's tweet that it's CONFIRMED that the judge hasn't ruled yet might be a little misleading. She probably doesn't know either way, only that she didn't announce a decision in open court.

I am really disappointed. Especially with allowing the DT to go so far towards appeal issues that have nothing to do with mitigation.

I seem to recall judges in other cases that would stop testimony if the attorneys stray off topic as to the purpose of what they are trying to accomplish. That never happens here in this phase and I am extremely disappointed.

-no Transcript
-no ruling on DP
-other witnesses not allowed to have Juan cross them and we go to brand new witnesses
-other witnesses not done yet and we have new witnesses
-jury questions not allowed yet on these other witnesses

What is going on? There needs to be some control back in this courtroom and fast. There is mass confusion and the jurors must be totally lost by now.

JSS is allowing the DT to dictate the rules of court, IMO.

Either she is has been completely worn down by this trial or she drank the Kool-Aid. moo

Given the inadequacy of trial report by tweet, it's hard to know.

But evidently she just dismissed the jury while JW continues to question EF.

Did she just now realize she screwed up by having the jury in the courtroom!?!
