Are you talking about this article? As for TA even having a cousin... I dunno.:/

In a bizarre claim, Arias said the sheriff put cameras in her cell and forced her to say the "Pledge of Allegiance" every morning or else she wouldn't get fed, according to TMZ. Nancy Grace became involved in the mix because Arias claimed that the officer intercepted sexual letters between her and Alexander's cousin and leaked them to the talk-show host, who then shared the story on TV with her viewers. Grace alleged the two were going to get married.

I am envisioning Juan questioning Maria on cross.....heheheeee.

I must admit I have more than once entertained thoughts of your No. 2 above.

Yea it's crossed my mind too, but I can't see him wanting to kill the golden goose. It's not like she's going anywhere anytime soon and other than perhaps having to put up with her occasional verbal diarrhea(is it once a week she'll be allowed calls/visits?) I don't see any downside to keeping it alive for years and years to come.

My favorite comment of the day was Willmott complaining about Juan and his objections and when she said "this trial has gone on long enough".......

How did she manage to keep a straight face when she blurted that out?

No wonder it took JSS so long to issue that ruling........look at all the pages and all the fine print !! Hopefully she will continue to rule against Nurmi, if for no other reason than making her work so much and spend so much time explaining things to him and his client.

This was absolutely, IMO, a DT smackdown (largely, it seems, because there was no evidence). But may I remind, that Wilmott has been smacked down just as hard as Nurmi.

I don't think he cares if it goes on for years or not. He does not want her to get the death penalty, but I am not sure that's for the reasons most think. I think it is based more on how HE will look if she avoids the DP. It will reflect better on him and that is his priority. As for this staying alive (via appeals) for years to come, that won't benefit him much as he will not be her appeals attorney.

It's her ruling. She signed it. No doubt she has paralegals who did the research on the citings in the ruling as well. None of that makes it any less her ruling.

You said it so much better than I did. That is exactly what I meant. Thanks!

Now you know why I have so few post. (smile)

Me. And LinasK. :floorlaugh:

But I love you guys anyway. Just be comforted by the fact that, while you're over here thinking the judge is biased against JM because she rules against him on all matters of style and form, the JA supporters are over there thinking the judge is biased against JA because she rules against the defense on every single substantive motion ever since the day she was appointed to this case.

Thank You for all your answers and insight through out this whole Trial.
In the end the Prosecution will have done their job well. The Judge will have intervened when needed. The Defense will watch their client get on her bus to go to Perryville and walk away with smiles on their face. They will finally be done with their defendant from hell and have a drink and know they never have to see her face or hear her voice again.
Travis is smiling down on his warriors. His girlfriend from hell will be where she belongs.
His family can finally breathe and Grieve for their wonderful brother they will miss FOREVER.
The Prosecution is doing Travis Proud.

I'm getting a 503 error on that link.

Correct. Nurmi needs to write up a new motion to dismiss for Flores's misconduct of breaking into an evidence room in the middle of the night to look at 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on a computer that was evidence in a capital murder case and then delete it. And somehow use up to 3 USB devices in the process. And then he probably texted his wife since it was after 11 pm and he's a pervert.

And MeeBee of course lol.

BBM - You're making me laugh!!

I am imagining a pursed-lip Nurmi down at the Gentlemens Club telling Cha Cha on her break that she will be testi-lying soon. She will not be happy when he tells her that she will have to give up her night job so they can get their stories straight. LOL!

Who is "Cha Cha"? I have been following this trial since last year when it began and all these nicknames are confusing the heck out of me. I guess I should just scroll by all of the funny posts. "Cha Cha" is a new one for me so I had to ask.

My point in the original post had nothing to do with what he gets out of it or that he does the appeals. My thought is he is doing all this now so she doesn't get out on appeals, since I have no doubt he knows exactly what she is and has done and as he said, he doesn't like her most days either. That sentiment is probably stronger now.

Here's the hepatitis C info this year. I know I've read where the Sheriff stopped JA from news interviews after her conviction & a letter Sheriff Joe wrote to a someone requesting to visit JA for a documentary. Other than that, Sheriff Joe serves all inmates his mystery loaf, full of all you need to survive on & more. (lol)

Was this at the same time she claimed she had a fungus that had a fungus, and one of her 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 was leaking?

Yes, I got your point and I agree with it.

My post that you quoted was not in response to your OP...it was in response to what someone else posted.

Again, your OP was spot on, imo.

Yes WHO knew? :sigh:

Unfortunately, not the jurors who've been unnecessarily inconvenienced by constant delays and denied a coherent presentation of the evidence imo.

So should we now take bets on how long it will be before Nurmi files his NEXT motion.

I am betting it is before Friday night. A new motion, this time against something Juan did today in court. Maybe because he referred to himself in 3rd person? Or maybe he will complain that Flores would not say he recognized the voice on the audio tape? LOL

Or due to all of his objections the trial has been hopelessly delayed and the jurors will take their frustration out on his client.
