... and that's why they are so freely using them. Did Juan stipulate to these?

I'm guessing JM is OK strategy-wise with this incredibly redundant and offensive blame the victim crap. He can easily put it all in context and use it against JA.

Totally agree no ones perfect. But the man he was in public and the man he was behind closed doors are 2 totally different people. its no accident that so many people thought so highly of him. He knew what he was doing was wrong and he knew how to keep it secret. Imo that leaves room to speculate maybe he was capable of manipulation. Not at all a fail.

You are kidding right? You HAVE TO BE KIDDING! He didn't do anything wrong. Who died and made you his judge? Wow. He was young. He was single. He was NORMAL. Manipulative? Not at all.
Chill.....

Umm, no way the recipients would know either... didn't JA admit to RB that she had sent texts pretending to be TA?

I was implying that we can't be sure if either side of the conversation was being carried by the person it appears to be without asking them personally. Idk if they've contacted Ms Cook but they certainly can't ask TA.

and i still say, who knows whats true and not true? ja, the master manipulator and liar had access to travis's passwords to everything. how do we know she's not the one carrying on this conversation with this cook person, she'd probably get off on it. i wish they would say the dates these conversations are taking place.

I was just going to say that. Someone posted a youtube of a friend of Travis stating that she had responded to a text message to a woman as Travis himself. So if there is someone willing to testify to this information, how can any of these texts be believed? This is probably one of the reasons none of them were allowed in the guilt phase. This phase is anything goes it seems. So is this all new to JM? Will he now be looking to add this woman to his witness list?

MOO

Even with lousy parents, apparently Travis was taught not to kiss and tell. Bragging is for immature young boys with their buddies in the locker room, NOT for young men actively seeking a wife.

Woa, woa, woa. The ABUSER? Your abuser or Travis as an abuser, because there is not one shred of evidence that Travis was an abuser. A liar and a cheater does not an abuser make. There is a big difference. Jodi did not live with Travis, they didn't have children, he wasn't married to her and he didn't have financial control over her. If a guy that you are dating is repeatedly lying to you and cheating on you- you can LEAVE the relationship. Jodi Ann Arias had a choice, and free will. She was a beautiful girl and could have MOVED on to another of her many, many, many suitors we have read about and heard about. She had 4 offers for a date, in one night. She moved AWAY- was supposedly no longer even attracted to Travis- she admits that she was NEVER jealous. She drove 1,000 miles back to him- to slaughter him. Who is the abuser?

Thanks.

I would add, he would need to contact Travis to find out if he, in fact, sent them. He can't.

Well, I would hope the person he was texting is still alive, not that she would come forward willingly. Also why would this be a mitigating factor when JA would have no idea this was going on before she killed him. And if he gave her access to his email password does it seem strange that he would engage in this type of back and forth with someone else knowing she was reading his emails?

We'll take that into consideration, sir.

The thing is though I'm not sure he was so hellbent on keeping it a secret. I remember in the first interview with JA, detective Flores tells JA: "Umm…you know one of the other detectives had described him to you as a player."

And it goes like this:

JA: Oh, he does. (Unintelligible)

03:53
DF: Travis he’s what you call a player. You know what that means? He kinda…

04:02
JA: He doesn’t intend to hurt anybody, though

So I don't think this whole "player" aspect of his personality was hidden as much as the DT wants to pretend. The Hughes sure knew. Apparently more people did as well. Out of all the woman he was in contact with, I think Jodi Arias was the one who knew EXACTLY what kind of man she was dealing with.

I wanted to take this time to wish you a very special birthday, dog.gone.cute. I hope it is as special as you are to all of us.:)

I sure appreciate all the tweets and links you provide here at WS and I am sure all the other posters do as well.

imo

:bump:

what's manipulative? Breaking up and getting back together? Are you saying Travis was 'the abuser?' lol

Don't get me wrong, Travis is the victim. I'm saying he behaved like any other man would have in his situation. That doesn't justify how his actions affected the women he dated. And While a normal person would see this as typical behavior someone crazy might view the same actions as very hurtful. Not saying any of that justifies the amount of crazy Jodi put him through either tho.

You're not implying that heterosexual men with urges might fudge the truth a little bit, now and again -- are you?

Surely not...

Yep. And Jodi Arias was the one who used sex (and religion--how shameful!) to manipulate and trap men. Not a righteous bone in her body.

Alright, I'll bite!! I'm a prude in with my friends circle I play the mom role and I even drive a minivan. Behind closed doors I enjoy kink with ny partner, I'll send him sexually r rated pics during the day too (even after 11pm too!!). My friends would be shocked to find out I enjoy erotica , does that make me a manipulator that deserves to be killed? Because I'm confused

Considering it has been mentioned by others that TA was a flirty type guy I don't personally feel like he was two totally different people. He seems to have let it be pretty public knowledge that he was looking for a mate with his blog and all.

I do things when I'm alone that I don't do in public such as burping, passing gas etc....but I don't think that's , but I could be wrong.anyone else's business so I don't broadcast it to people I don't want to know that about me.

I thought all people had things about themselves that they didn't find a need to share publicly. I've never felt that was abnormal

Then I'm pretty manipulative. My friends/family/etc have no clue about when, what kind or how often my husband and I have sex. They are not privy to our emails or text either. Never have been. We have pulled the wool over their eyes for 19 years.

i dont think they knew he was playing the field sexually tho.

Thank goodness people act differently behind the closed doors of their bedrooms than out in public. I'm very open minded, but I would draw the line at being forced to watch folks copulate on their cars and on the sidewalk and at Starbucks and wherever else.
