Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 24

I am having trouble putting the whole Power & Control issues into perspective for Dr. Geffner's theory.

While I do agree that domestic violence is a pattern of behavior in which the abuse increases in frequency and severity - it also is foundational upon the abuser having power and control over the victim.

Jodi had moved.
They were not dating.
They were not pursuing a long-term relationship.
He did not have financial power, he did not isolate her (they had many of the same friends and could be with or speak to whomever she pleased),
He did not hold her hostage (she moved there and moved away without reprocussions)
He gave her a car - he didn't keep her from having one
He loaned her money

The issues of power and control are missing in this scenario (IMO)

While Travis did have size over Jodi . . . in the end that turned out not to be a factor. She was able to murder him 3 times over in or around under 3 minutes flat.

Re Arias personality change, ex-boyfriend Darryll Brewer told me the same during 2013 interview I did with him.

Of course he would. He doesn't want the lunacy that ensued and escalated with JAA on him.

Do you suppose he'd find the affadavit of a faceless nameless witness to the 2 ninjas helpful?

I wonder if the defense has any idea how much damage they're doing to their own client's credibility? Putting on an affidavit of some mystery person saying something that the most credible witness that graced that stand (Deanna) denied and having Geff try to align and prove-up these affidavits with JA's timeline, it borders on the ridiculous - are they really working in her best interest? What must the jury think?

I wish Dr. D. would immediately correct this DV terminology. Travis and Arias were never cohabiting, therefore any aggressive physical act by one on the other was an 'assault'. Not 'abuse' and not 'domestic violence'.

I don't see how they can get by with this after being on Nancy Grace and other shows. They showed their faces then.
