No...her supporters are. Because they are delusional. But this should put to rest that she is not the one directing this account. What happened to the one that she was? I think it was just her name and Donovan was doing it for her.

You mean the rule about witnesses being cross-examined? That definitely does apply.

As I mentioned before, the defense might fight for her statement to count as allocution instead of testimony. (Allocution generally is not subject to cross-examination.) If JSS allows that, IMO she will have to point out to the jury that it was not subject to cross-examination and that the jury may take that into account.

That is such a ridiculous comment that I don't know how Juan didn't turn on his heels and ask "The Geff" to repeat that to the court. I wouldn't even ask "The Geff" to explain himself. I would just point out to him she'd been in one jail or another since July of 2008. And if Geff tries to explain anyway, Juan would say "did I ask you a question?" C'mon, Juan... keep your Wingtip on his throat.

Let's be fair here. TA not want to marry Deanna. He wanted to marry Linda Ballard Boss.

That doesn't mean he didn't love her. They remained close friends until end of his life and it was clear by the time the Hughes' wrote that email he was still hung up on her. He may have wanted to marry Linda Ballard at one point but that obviously didn't last because they were never engaged. Travis left the dog to Deanna. Anything for Jodi?

If an answer might cause a mistrial, it will be asked outside the presence of the jury first. Also if something has already been ruled inadmissible but the attorney wants to make an "offer of proof" about what the witness would have said if he'd been allowed to answer.



I suppose Dr. DeMarte could say she discounted this information because the witness was not credible for various reasons, including contradictory statements made online.

It's possible, though, that JM will not want to suggest to the jury that it is OK for experts to consider anonymous hearsay from questionable sources, so he will want Dr. DeM to rely only on "real" evidence.

Also, JSS might reasonably say that experts can rely on hearsay affidavits made under oath to the mitigation specialist but not on hearsay Facebook posts possibly not even made by the person whose name is attached to them.

I am depressed beyond words. I waited all weekend for today. Then heard about DF son. Then today I see this pseudo-psychologist give lie after lie. All for the love of money. Doesn't anyone have integrity anymore? Why are these people defending her? There has never been any question of who committed this heinous murder. Why is this judge allowing all this in?
Please,whoever you are, don't tell me one more time that this judge wants to be sure she won't be overturned on appeals. Just let me ramble. Because I am crying for Travis' family.

So according to Geff's logic then any old shmo off the street could also testify and his opinion is as good as any old shmo off the street.

Yes he is saying it may be a blessing in disguise- JW point sometimes hard to follow but it is that what JA wrote, what she told psychologists all cohesive so the jury will buy that she caught TA mast to pics of 7 yo boys, then he abused her and broke her finger but journal refers to the absence of entries due to nothing noteworthy is bcuz of law of attraction.
