Brits..(hope you don't me replying)., The only conclusion that makes any sense to me is that JA has convinced herself that it doesn't matter what sentence she gets because she really does believe the guilty verdict will be overturned.

She's better off in many ways if she DOES get the DP. More appeals. Polishes her role as wrongly imprisoned DV who simply defended herself. Feeds her fan base.

As she said to Flores BEFORE she invented the ninjas...." My life is over." In other words, nothing left to lose.

We can't understand the DT's strategy because there is no strategy in play to present mitigation. There is only a psychopath terrorizing the courtroom, demanding the opportunity to use every means available to destroy Travis and cause pain to those who love him. Its one gigantic FU to JM, Flores, Deanna, Lisa, Mimi, Sky and Chris.......every last person she hopes to sully and harm.

And somehow I bet she's saving her ugliest for allocution.

IF Jodi isn't there, she should be. There is very little left of this train wreck of a trial.

What is next, some time late summer....starve her to almost death, so she comes out pleading from a gurney for her life?

I do think this is the Jodi version of mitigation. We saw what Nurmi chose to do last time--he basically had her say that she could sort of draw and had hair that could be donated etc. Then Jodi filed 7 million motions (or maybe like 2--I lost count) saying that Nurmi refused to follow her strategy and specifically refused to call certain witnesses who had totally BOMBSHELL testimony that would make her case. Nurmi tried his best to get off the case, but JSS said he had to stay, so now IMO he's saying FINE let's see how your brilliant mitigation strategy works Miss Jodi.

I don't think there will be any negative repercussions for them.

I have been thinking today about Jodi's allocution this time around. I believe she is too much of a psychopath to ever show remorse. I am thinking she may just defy everyone and tell the jury she is a victim of domestic violence and abuse, that she HAD to defend herself, and that the jury OWES it to her to give her life, with the possibility that she may start over one day (maybe after 25 years). Do you think she would do that? That's what I am expecting. I know that idea sounds totally insane but this is JA we are speaking of. What do you think?

Totally agree. I anticipate a full on meltdown of epic porportions after today's final nail in the coffin of JA's "mitigation".

So, what we can look for over the coming days are highly delusional statements with no basis in reality, a spike in claims that JA's conviction will for sure be overturned on appeal now,a complete character assassination of the Bishop and Deanna, a whole host of allegations that every witness for the state is lying but JA is telling the truth, that KN has for sure got this and will impeach the Church Elder handily, and my personal favorite, that what happened today totally proves what they have been saying all along--that "Pickles" is in the Prosecution's pocket. :laughing::bang:

Im' asking this question simply because so much evidence that the Defence has bullied into the court. Can any of these witness's actually sue defence collectively in a civil suit for defamations of character? So much of what they have chosen to present either comes from a convicted felon/or liars..and obviously proven today as perjured statements ( allowed by the court)? Can the court also be charged with allowing such defamations??

Jodi threatened to do exactly what she is doing. That is smear reputations if they (state) doesn't agree to her terms...I have to say..she not only has succeeded in HER mission..She has caused $$$ costs to taxpayers..and direct reputation slandering. I've seen over and over again so many accusations proven to be unfounded and shown to be lies..Yet Judge Stephen's allows them to continue with this cr$$$olla...Good decent people have been hurt by Jodi and her minions..Surely there is recourse to deal with that..including Nurm's and Willy!!

JW is either extremely stupid or extremely mean with this immigration paper question. DR is almost certainly an American citizen. She was not immigrating or emigrating anywhere. She was not going anywhere permanently or to become a citizen. There are no "papers" for being an American citizen and not immigrating or emigrating anywhere. Costa Rica doesn't even require a visa for an American citizen, for gosh sake, and even if so, a visa is a stamp in the passport. "Immigration papers" in this country brings up a specter of non-citizens in the US who are here legitimately but not especially welcomed. JMO JW is playing a racist card and trying to pander to someone on the jury. Here, we associate "not having immigration papers" with illegals. She's giving DR the aura of not being on the "up and up".

Today was a really great day! More to come I'm sure. I pray she gets the DP. She deserves it. The Family wants it. I support it. One of my main reasons is wanting whatever time she has left to be isolated. LWOP would afford her more freedoms than Death Row. IMO she would adapt quite well to life behind bars. She is trying to destroy anyone living who loved Travis. Ironic. In the process she is only destroying herself. She is the driving force behind her soon to be decided fate. I pray it's the DP!

Well I guess these bombshell witnesses were MM et al, and if BBM is true, it's no wonder Nurmi didn't want to use them. This was as effective as the forged pedo letters. She's in way over her head, but simply refuses to except that fact. Just another example of how delusional she is, and how such denial can derail the best laid plans.

I dont have a clue of who BBM is, but I'm on a couple of newsgroups who have a squiggly line under often used anacronyms that you can click on it and it expands with a a definition. This would be wonderful here.

Thanks bsk. the other day somebody posted an article about "can kids be psychpaths" and it referred to this same info. Very interesting and kind of disturbing. We need to learn how to identify these people sooner. Early research shows they can be taught and helped. JMO
