Can the State drop the DP and agree to LWOP? Maybe that's why CNN is leaving.....it's over and Tanisha is going to give victim impact statement?

Just heard from one of Travis' friends that Tanisha is doing a Victim Impact Statement so maybe that's now? Maybe she will speak now and others later? I don't know, I've just been unplugged from everything so out of the loop (for my own sanity)

I just wanted to share something, too, for funsies. Some of you probably already saw this but they were discussing Nurmi's question to Flores, "and you believed this mentally ill girl?" Monica Lindstrom was giving Nurmi his kudos for sneaking that in during the questioning, even if it was improper (though I don't think anyone should construe that as Monica "supporting" the defense at all. She's just thinking like a defense lawyer.

They asked Joey Jackson if he thought it was a good move and Joey was like, "NO! You can't do that! You can't just throw 'facts' out there just to support your case!" He went on to say that any other judge would have reemed Nurmi for that comment.

I want to thank everyone for the great discussion last evening on the prior thread regarding death penalty trials and the slandering of victims. I'm just so glad we're talking about this topic and bringing awareness to it. I also wrote some other thoughts about DP in AZ and related to this trial last week that you might find interesting.

I"ll be out of the country all next week and I think this is a good thing as I don't know how much of Nurmi's victim bashing I can stomach without imploding. I think it will be worse than last go round. Blech.

I'm not going to stay glue to twitter and such today, but I am going to sit here with you all. There is nothing that Nurmi has to say that will interest me.

Kat, why do you think, they would have Tanisha speak so early? Maybe to lessen the lies that Nurmi may have to spew today, and to keep the Focus on Travis and what this has done to his family?

Good morning, Curious! I'll go look for your post. Halloween prep for my son and his friends has been taking up lots of my time.
